So this started because I kept dying in my world, running back for my stuff, and just... completely blanking on where I actually died. Chat scrolls away, F3 coords aren't much help when you're already dead, and I got tired of it.

I ended up building a small Fabric mod for it called DeathLocator. Nothing fancy, just does one thing well:

• When you die, it drops a message in chat with your exact coordinates, the biome, and which dimension you died in (so Nether deaths show Nether coords, not overworld ones).
• Click the coordinates and they copy straight to your clipboard — no weird confirmation popups, just copies instantly.
• The same info also sticks around as a little box in the bottom-right of your screen, so you don't have to scroll back through chat to find it.
• It survives logging out and back in — even a full server restart. Once you actually walk back to where you died, it disappears on its own.
• If it's in your way, tap X and it hides. Tap it again and it's back.
