So I rewatched DN for the first time since watching it in high school and noticed something. When Rem brings over a piece of the Death Note to restore Misa’s memory of it in that restroom scene, it’s like she has to share everythingggg that happened to Misa before she relinquished ownership of it.

But when Light gets ahold of Rem’s Death Note in ep24 after Higuchi is captured on the highway, all of his memories are completely restored automatically.

Why the difference? Are there different rules just because it’s not his Death Note?
