Liver is always a hit or miss for me....one because of just how good the liver is, two because I'm just not adept at making it to the right doneness every time. But onions? 😏 The onions are always good. Served on a bed of sauteed walla walla onions and topped with a salad of cilantro, raw onion, and grapefruit vinaigrette.
Adding leeks to onions helps give the gratin more body and fiber. Topped with Parm and American cheese. Simple roux of butter and flour and milk. All hail the glorious onions!
This small brewery in San Carlos is selling their root beer again. It's probably one of the best I've ever had. No I don't work there, no they don't pay me. I bought 10 four packs......Unfortunately, if you don't live in the immediate area, it appears the shipping pricing is insane.
Wish I could post more videos/pics, but I found a vinyl record of a compilation of the save room/typewriter room music from 10 of the games, starting with RE7. Oddly the vinyl came with a black Umbrella folder with a little stack of 8.5x11 documents......I'm guessing they are copies of in-game material. But I haven't read them yet. If there is any sub interest in this let me know and I can do something to post them in a readable way.
First ever turntable setup. AT-LP120X-USB, some cheap powered speakers. Spent a fortune on a bunch of videogame OSTs....but this was the first one I wanted to test because of the intro.
If anyone has suggestions for cool, bleak, evil vinyls, please let me know.
I recently found an awesome deal on a TV that was basically mounted up in the corner of a laundromat near the ceiling for a decade or two - I'm getting the sense that it was exclusively used for cable TV and the integral VHS and DVD drives have rarely (if ever) been used. The VHS works great......the DVD drive....rarely works.....
When I put in a disk it either stalls at 'loading' indefinitely, or it will load the menu in a rare blue moon. This also seems to be the case with pristine DVDs with no scratches or smudges.
Is it commonplace for lasers/lens components of these things to just crap out or expire even without any misuse (or in this case no use at all)? I ordered a cleaning disk, one of those disks with brushes on it, but am still waiting.
Any thoughts or ideas on this?

It's partly based on what Amazon says people are buying together so I'm not putting too much faith in it, but how do you think about this? This is for my dad who is 83, and he's not particularly an audiophile. Would this turntable (built in pre-amp) be okay with these speakers? Or would I be wasting money on a turntable considering the speaker quality? Would anyone recommend me not to do turntable with built in preamp?

I spent a big chunk of time a few days ago making a pho from scratch. Beef chuck and beef tendon I had in the freezer. Did everything I was supposed to. Roasted the meat, parboiled it, boiled the tendon for hours, boiled the chuck for hours. Had the blackened onion and ginger. A pho spice sachet. Fish sauce and sugar.
When I strained out the onions and ginger I put them in a colander...wanted them to cool down before I threw them away. Lo and behold I wasn't paying close enough attention and my cat at an entire cooked onion out of the sink. 😐 Don't be me....don't let your cat eat poisonous stuff off the counter. He is okay now. Luckily I noticed immediately, told animal poison control, they recommended E vet visit. And he got an emetic within 45 minutes of eating it. And he threw up what looked like an entire onion. 😁

Hi all. I have been buying Skull candy stuff for years. For the most part it's been good, but with every pair I am finding eventually one earbud goes quieter and therefore the sound is uneven when using both. Does this happen with you? I'm trying to manage my expectations and I don't know if this is perhaps another planned obsolescence sort of thing....I recall it happening three times, and all within a space of a year or two of using them. I treat them pretty well.
