Go to your target language's wikipedia page and go through all the external links and references and download everything, if it's still not enough go to the author's homepage (often times you can even email them).

Use live.bible.is or the Jesus film which have em been translated into an enormous amount of languages, and if you're lucky the little prince.

Take lots of notes for grammar

Make Anki cards

Prioritize using the language in real life over using it only when you're studying the material bc you might not be able to practice with natives often

Go to the same material over and over again

Build a relationship with the language, doing a wide variety of activities with it.

Use EVERY ressource available.

I'm a japanese learner so I know close to nothing about vietnamese, I'm just fascinated by Chinese characters and how other languages incorporate them. So :

1. When / where is ChuNom still being used ?

2. Can the average vietnamese who went to school read ChuNom ? If so, to what degree ?

3. Can everything in modern vietnamese be transcribed to ChuNom ?

When I talk to someone and they're speaking, I like to say little things like "I see / I understand / ok/..." as we all do.

But when I speak with Portuguese speakers, the only thing I know how to say in that case is "entendi" but it ends up being the only thing I say over and over so when I feel like it's been too many times I just stay silent or say "hmhm" lol and it feels a little awkward to me.

What are some natural words or phrases that could replace that ?

I just spoke with a lady from the Nordeste and I never had a harder time understanding Portuguese... It might have been harder to understand than Portuguese from Portugal. I didn't even understand which city she was from. I'm also a beginner so that doesn't help but then a woman from Rio came in the chatroom and everything she said was clear as day.

Hi, don't know if I'm breaking the rules or something, sorry if I am.

I'm french, been learning Brazilian Portuguese for a few months and I'd like to find another Portuguese learner (doesn't matter if it's not the Brazilian dialect) to mainly practice our speaking skills together on the phone and get better together.

I'm nowhere near bilingual but I can get by in casual conversations.

Bonjour, J'ai entendu 2 hommes typés zarab en tenue religieuse en centre ville de Saint-Denis parler une langue qui sonnait un peu indienne. Je précise tenue religieuse car ils étaient visiblement musulmans et peut-être qu'ils sont originaires d'un endroit principalement musulman, je ne sais pas.

Quelqu'un aurait une idée de quelle langue ils parlaient svp ?

Je suis gen Z et très peu de gens que je connais écrivent en cursive. C'est pourtant comme ça qu'on apprend à écrire à l'école donc je ne comprends pas pourquoi aussi peu de gens écrivent de cette manière, j'ai l'impression d'être l'un des seuls dans mes connaissances, ou peut-être même le seul.

What started this ? How have we normalised it ?

I'm only 24 and aging like milk left in the sun, I'm so tired. I use tret 0.05 every day and tolerate it pretty well, but it doesn't work at all and I feel like I'm still getting worse.

After some research I realized I may not be moisturizing enough (once a day) so I'm definitely going to fix that with hyaluronic acid and a hydrating cream twice a day, but I really want to try and reverse this as much as possible and as soon as possible because it's starting to hit hard mental health wise.

So is starting taz 0.1% immediately dumb ?

It's usually my family that points this out all the time for some reason but today it was actually the nurse that comes to my house everyday to deliver my medication one pill at a time so I don't fucking self delete by ODing on them (not my choice). WTF ?

I don't even know why it irritates me this much but most of all I don't know why people like to say that ?? It's so pointless, so what if you can't see it, is that supposed to make me feel better or smth ? It sure doesn't.

I'm so goddamn tired of my knee pain that's been going on for years I'm considering joining the community but I just wanna know what people who actually have used it think about it first.

I'm European and that much money sounds completely insane to me for 30 minutes. But I know things are way more expensive in the US health wise so maybe it's fine, what do you think ?
