Struggling to find a new mmorpg not gonna lie, quite a dying genre

I mained Final Fantasy 14 for years but lost my account and said, nah fam, i'm not struggling again against the slog that is this game. Don't missunderstand me, I love story driven mmorpgs, but the gameplay loop, the class system, the leveling experience, etc is a slog to go through and there is certain culture in the game that kinda directly or indirectly forces you to max everything or else feels incomplete.

Tried Guild Wars 2 like 3 times but i guess it's not the game for me, playing through it just bores me.

Swtor was also another mmorpg i mained for a time, one if not the best story driven mmorpg, and one of the best settings and ips ever, sadly it's just a mainteance mode game that survives on peoples addiction and starvation for the ip and similar settings.

World of Warcraft, not for me, it's a classic mmo were story and lore is just cinematics/trailers, old "single player" games and random notes scathered through the world dark souls style. very complicated and elitist fanbase, very hard to learn gameplay and classes, forces you directly to go endgame and very unfriendly across the board.

LOTRO, played a couple of hours before saying to myself, what the heck i'm doing with my time.

And here i am struggling in my search for a new thing, even single player games aren't hooking me anymore.

guess it's time to touch some grass and have kids or something.

I know nowadays is all very boring and cliche and all that but damn, it has the perfect setting and story for me, that has since kid being very fascinated with swords, magic, kings etc, growing up with arthurian legend stories, a local legend of my region about saint george killing a dragon that was terrorizing a small village, the ancient kings of judah and israel from the iron age and many more stuff.

so, yeah, perfect setting as stated above, for roleplaying lots of stuff, hopefully more games like this in the future ngl.

Hopefully Vampire recieve the same love as Werewolf sooner rather than later

Vampire was bad in the early days and was bad after the Greymoor rework, so hopefully they recieve a proper rework that makes them a nice option for both pve and pvp like the reworked werewolf, because oh my baals, it's bad, so bad you can't even use it for roleplay because it's simply a detriment to anything you do.

I honestly don't know what to think of this, looks more like a barbarian green feral pact elf than what i intended to do originally which is/was a mix of dark brotherhoodish looking with enough wood elf heritage or something that screamed werewolfie careful with this one.

Boi I love when roleplay flows naturally without forcing or crazy mental gymnastics.

I have the Roleplayers alternate start mod.

And decided to do a neon street kid rat cyberneticist that knows her way around the city, couple of quick gigs, I get recruited by Ryujin, get creds, swag, stealth, crazy politics, espionage and i turn into the best operative in the company, plus i get this fancy manipulation ability, i bring down Masako and make the other chick the new CEO, they are gonna abuse the neuroamp and bought LDT.

Then on a radiant operation for them, forgot i picked up contraband and traveled to the sol system.

Long story short, they stop me but instead of going to jail they send me to the vigilance and here i am being a double agent, what these UC fucks don't know is that i'm Cipher Nine, and Cipher Nine always gets what she wants, meaning, i'm fucking them over and the Crimson Fleet is gonna raise on top.

I think I couldn't have chosen a better start to the game with this character lmao, all things are flowing naturally.
