Why does our generation have to bear the brrunt of everything ?

When it was our time to write 10th exams, CBSE reintroduced annual exams, when it was our time to write JEE , it became hard, pattern changed , COVID came, when it was our turn to get jobs, recession came in, even after we got a job AI came in so that people started losing jobs like hell, when we wanted to go abroad racism against Indians increased to peak , now that atleast we want to love or get married , gender wars have engulfed our society , our dad's and grandpa's got good wives without any effort and even if they were patriarchal, we are much better than them, but people say we might never be married and by 2047 marriage as an institution will end in India, why do we have to bear the brunt of everything?

24 M | Giving it a try

Currently living in Namma Bengaluru, not looking to rush into marriage - just hoping to meet someone genuine and see how things go.

A little about me:

Working in IT (currently on rotational shifts) ,the pay is decent, however I am actively working towards a more stable and better role. Introverted by nature and enjoys a quite life. I have never been in a relationship before , but I am open to building something comfortable at a meaningful pace.

One thing I have realized about myself is that I would love to have someone I can care for , support and make feel special. Seeing couples look out for each other makes me look forward to have that kind of connection someday.More than anything I am looking for someone I can trust , be myself around and share both the good and difficult parts of life with

Appreciation post for Karnataka for being the most Vegetarian and Hindu Friendly State

I regularly follow social media and real life politics, the hate for vegetarians is next level with Tamilians also calling for genocide of vegetarians and banning vegetarianism in India. Meanwhile Karnataka despite having a large non-veg population never hate vegetarians nor hate Hindu practices , they embrace everyone with open arms , love Karnataka

Is it wrong to want love ?

24M, most of the people of our generation (GenZ) whom I see on reddit and in real life are against love, marriage , children in general, they are justified as well, considering AI, racism against Indians, population explosion, being general Category and middle class, global warming , climate change, it's best for Indians to stop breeding altogether , but a corner of my heart still wants love, still wants to get married , still wants to have kids , am I wrong to feel like this ?

I am hated on both sides what do I do?

I am a Tamil Brahmin living in Bengaluru, I am hated by Tamils for being Brahmin and by Kannadigas for being Tamil, I speak Kannada fluently, I even speak Havyaka and North Karnataka accent fluently , I learnt these on my own by reading was born here, but sometimes my name gives away I am not Kannadiga, and some people (especially Telugus in my office ) , love to point out I am a " Konga" in from tof my Kannadiga colleagues and they hurl racial slurs at me once they know my identity, Tamilians always call me "Paapan" , " Aryan " and " Vandheri", I am always in a fear that I will be attacked by either for my identity , I can't take sides in any political debates and I fear I can't marry or have kids in future , because they will also be hated for their identity, what do I do?

Is it true that women prefer guys who are funny/tease them a lot ?

24M , have met many girls at my workplace, they always like the company of guys who tease them based on their appearance like height , weight, dieting preferences ,inability to diet/exercise etc or those who are funny and make them laugh easily in general. However I find it really hard, infact I don't like to joke with women about their appearance or even behavioural patterns in general and I am not that funny, I have had people who said me that I will be a boring partner , I am not fun etc, in general, however I love to care for people close to me, my love language is all about caring, being there for someone and listening to them , I am unable to forcefully start developing a teasing personality or joking personality to be able to find love , what do I do ?

Men who live away from parents -how is life for you?

I was a day scholar all my life, since I interact mostly with women at workplace I only know how life is for women who live alone , these are the common experiences for women as I have heard

1.Cried on first day of hostel

2.Fell sick due to outside food

3.Struggled with common/dirty washrooms

  1. No one to take care of when sick

4.Feeling like guest in own house and eventually accepting it

5.Mom/Dad asking girls to stay back one more day

6.Dad behaving very pookie and caring by tending for their daughters needs

7.Safety and sanitation issues due to travelling alone (Long journeys in buses )

  1. Even worse experiences when they move to PG

  2. Falling into relationships out of compulsion but not choice as they need someone to care for them

  3. However at end of day they have blind trust on family and a sense of pride on being independent

  4. Putting parents needs above theirs and spending for parents even if they end up with no money and they have to sleep hungry

Are all these experiences common for men as well or do they differ ?

Why do we pretend as if no one is ever gonna get married ?

I have been observing guys around me in workplace offline , social media (online) in general all Indian guys behave as if 99 percent of men are never gonna get married and only 2 or 3 men in India are gonna get a girl . Why dont we understand that even though we dont have a wide pool and favourable circumstances like our parents they are still many normal women and girls out there with whom guys are gonna get married eventually . Why do we pretend as if 99.99 percent of Indians are gonna be single , at most about 10 percent of Indian men of our generation (Gen-Z) might be single.
