Provincetown Licensing Board Member Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges
Joseph Centrella, 42, a member of the Provincetown Licensing Board, was arrested on July 22, 2026, in a targeted drug investigation that police say has helped curb the town’s drug supply The Provincetown Independent**+1**. Centrella faces cocaine trafficking and five other charges, including:

This is the first summer I remember that prices on normal everyday items have gone up like since the last week of June FOR NO REASON!! More so than normal. I track prices religiously. Never mind the outrageous prices on items, we on Cape get more screwed. BUT egg prices are down! And good bargains on bagged shredded lettuce!
Hubby has presented me with a million tiny potatoes from the garden. Like too small to peel.

I live in a 98% year-round Mid Cape neighborhood of houses built in the 70s. Been in this house 30 years. We have (had) great neighbors on our street, wave going by, share veggies and baked goods with others.
Neighbors next door sold out last year and headed south. An off-cape couple from suburbs bought the house and they think they are living in Oyster Harbors. They are the snootiest UNFRIENDLY people I have ever met. Walk by the house, we say Hi, NOTHING. Not even a grunt. We said hi over the fence when they moved in, basically ignored us. WHICH IS FINE. Not looking to be friends just cordial. Just rubs me the wrong way the vibe they give off. Am I nuts? Maybe.
