New optic day!

Got a 407 Comp Gold for my Glock 17 gen 6 (my USPSA gun). Took the 407c Green that was on it and put it on my EDC 19 gen 6. Really like the gold so far.

Decided not to be lazy. 407 Comp Gold on the 17.6

Really like the gold. 407c green relegated to EDC 19.

New optic coming today. Having a dilemma

I've got a 407 comp gold coming in today to replace my 407c green as my competition optic. It currently sits on my 17.6. My EDC 19 has stock irons. I carry it in a 17 holster.

I have two options that I'm considering. I know it's probably 6 of 1 half a dozen of the other, but I'm a chronic overthinker so 🤷🏻‍♂️. Tell me what to do lol

  1. (the normal thing) pull the 407c off the 17 and put it on the 19. 407 comp on the 17.
  2. put the 407 comp on the 19 slide and just swap the slides to have a 49 for EDC and a 45 for competition.

(Pros for this one: I don't have to worry about heating up the screws and torquing them again, and I don't have to zero two optics. Kinda lazy for sure, but I have twin toddlers so time is valuable 😅)

Upgrade optic or holster first?

Currently running a Glock 17 with a 407C X2 Green in a cobbled together sidecar: Guerrilla Tactical Low Pro (actually for a PDP, but it works with the Glock as well thanks to the similar trigger guard geometries) connected to a Tenicor Abdo mag pouch. Using a Carey concealment bridge.

Long story short: found ourselves with a good chunk of unexpected disposable income this month. Wife and I agreed to save most of it but to spend a couple hundred(ish) on something each of us want.

Looking to add a 407 Comp Gold (and move the 407C to my EDC). Also considering one of the various sidecar holsters (Tier 1, Carey, Hellhound, ANR, etc).

Both upgrades were planned for Christmas, but I'm not sure which I want to do first.

Bullets out for AIWB?

I currently run bullets towards the holster and don't really have any issues, but I'm curious what people's experiences have been with bullets out setups like in the Carey Concealment bounty.

Vomero 18 vs Plus

Posting for my wife:

She's 5'2" 150. She's primarily a weight lifter but also runs. She does a mix of road and treadmill running (especially heavy on treadmill in the upper Midwestern winters). Pace is about 11 minutes.

She's been using 18s for the last year and is pretty happy with them. She's due for a new pair and is wondering if she should consider the Plus.

Thanks! :)

Optic upgrade: 507 comp or wait for 507 pro max?

Looking to upgrade my 407C green dot to a big optic with a gold dot. I like the idea of the 407 comp and the price point, but the dot is too big imo.

Should I get the 507 comp or wait until the pro max is available?

3 year old twins absolutely refuse to potty train

I'm at my wits end. My girls absolutely refuse to potty train, and they start 3/4 preschool in two weeks. We've tried prizes. We've tried refusing to put on diapers. We've tried just underwear. They just go and then have meltdowns, but they refuse to learn to use the potty. They've always been very early for every milestone and are, according to their 2/3 preschool teacher, very cognitively and emotionally advanced for their age, but they are really struggling with this.

Anyone else had really stubborn potty trainers? How did you get through it?

PSTL Library

Anyone have experience with this? I'm mostly looking at Joey Sauerland's dry fire one but also his movement one. I have pretty limited time for live fire, but I can get 20-30 minutes of dry fire a day, so I want to maximize my growth in that time.

I'm an unclassed but C-level shooter based on my match percentages (49-56%).

How many rounds are on your carry gun?

And do you have a round count at which you would either stop shooting it at the range and get an identical range gun or just transition it into a range gun and get a new carry gun? Or do you have a preventative maintenance schedule?

Carey Concealment tegris bridge only

Anyone using the bridge to connect a holster and mag pouch they already have? I have a Tenicor holster and mag pouch I'm using, but I'm looking at turning it into a sidecar.

One more mag pouch or one more basepad?

I'm in the midst of switching from PDP to Glock and from OWB to AIWB. I have sold my PDP and all of the accessories, and I promised my wife I wouldn't spend any more money than I got from my sales 😅. This question wouldn't be a concern if I weren't also buying a new handset for ace VR to match the Glock. I use it a lot and am worried about messing up my index. But maybe that's not actually something I should be concerned with?

I'm competing with a Gen 6 Glock 17 in a Tenicor Certum 4 (my CCW holster) with a Tenicor mag pouch. I have two Henning basepads. I have a magnet for my oh shit mag. Should I get a third basepad or an extra mag pouch?

(Or should I ditch the ace VR handset and use the one I have? And should I be getting a sidecar holster instead?)

Might be a hot take, but I actually really like the Gen 6 trigger

It's mushy and could be a little lighter, but I'm actually finding I really like the rolling break, especially with the weight being what it is. Not having a clear wall to interfere with my pull is helping me keep it perfectly (or as close to perfectly as I can) still while I pull it.

Big brother is home from gun jail

Picked up my Glock 17 gen 6 today. Ditched my PDP and got the bigger version of my EDC (19.6). Later this year I'll put a 407 comp on the 17 and transfer my 407c to the 19.

This is going to be my USPSA gun. I've spent a lot of money trying to chase performance in PDP upgrades. Now I'm going to spend no money and a bunch of time chasing performance in skill upgrades. Just gonna build my fundamentals with this and try to make at least M before getting anything else.

Big brother is home from gun jail

Finally picked up my blue label 17.6 today. Thanks GSSF. No thanks Illinois for the waiting period and mag blocks.

Tenicor Sprint holster

Anyone running these? Just got a new Glock 17 for competition and looking at holsters for it. I've been running a PDP with a light, but I'm probably going to drop the light and get a competition holster.

I carry in a Tenicor, but I'm not sure there's anything there that makes it worth it over a comp-tac or blade tech.

(Bonus: anyone have experience with the guerrilla Tactical fast draw?)

Back to basics. Waiting to pick up my new 17.6 from jail

After owning a Glock 22 for a lot of years but not even looking at it, I got really into guns and competing and chased performance for a couple years. Realized my PDP was never going to be what I wanted it to be, so I'm coming back to Glocks to really push myself to build my fundamentals.

Glock shooters: do you prefer a rolling break or crisp wall, and why?

Going to put a minus connector from (probably) tactical trigger in my Glock, and I'm debating if the rolling break or crisp break is a better option.

RXM modularity - how often are you actually swapping grip modules?

I'm slightly considering the RXM over the Glock 17 I'm looking to buy this weekend just because of the modularity.

I already have a Gen 6 G19. I would like to use the subcompact grip for CCW purposes, but I want the full size for home defense, a winter CCW, and a temporary competition gun until I get a 2011 next year.

Is it actually feasible to regularly swap out grip modules? Or is that a silly idea? I feel like it probably is, and swapping grip modules seasonally for different carry needs is a more reasonable solution.
