Amazon's Anthropic stake just hit $190 Billion - up 214% in 3 quarters

Amazon's bet on Anthropic is paying off in a big way.

According to Amazon's latest 10-Q (filed July 31, 2026), the fair value of its Anthropic holdings has surged to $190.4B, up from $60.6B in Q4 2025. That's a +214% increase in just three quarters.

Here's how the position breaks down:

Q4 2025 - $60.6B

  • Convertible Notes: $45.8B
  • Nonvoting Preferred Stock: $14.8B

Q1 2026 - $74.2B

  • Convertible Notes: $42.2B
  • Nonvoting Preferred Stock: $32.0B

Q2 2026 - $190.4B

  • Convertible Notes: $97.9B
  • Nonvoting Preferred Stock: $92.5B

The big jump in Q2 is driven by a massive revaluation of both the convertible notes and the preferred stock at fair value. Anthropic's valuation has clearly moved significantly between quarters, and Amazon is sitting on one of the largest single AI stakes of any public company.

For context, this position alone is now worth more than the market cap of most S&P 500 companies.

What do you think - is this already priced into AMZN, or is the market still undervaluing Amazon's AI portfolio?

Welcome to r/AnthropicBets - a subreddit about the upcoming Anthropic IPO and anything relating to Anthropic, Claude and the financial markets.

Hey everyone!

If you've been following the AI space, you've probably heard that Anthropic (the company behind Claude) filed its S-1 back in June and is gearing up for what could be one of the biggest tech IPOs in history.

I started r/AnthropicBets as a place for anyone interested in Anthropic as an investment to hang out, share ideas, and follow the story together. Think of it as a home base for everything Anthropic-as-a-stock.

The goal is to have a mix of productive discussions and, of course - some fun. It's still very early, and there isn't even an official date for the IPO, but I want to get things going before then. Would love it if I could find some likeminded people here. Thanks for letting me share!

Swing by r/AnthropicBets and say hi!

Anthropic is already talking about $200B in 2028 revenue

I saw this Reuters number today and had to read it twice.

Anthropic was at about a $47B revenue run rate in May. Now they’re projecting $190–200B for 2028, and apparently those numbers are already part of the IPO valuation discussion.

That’s basically 4x the May run rate in two years.

Maybe they pull it off. AI growth has made a lot of crazy numbers look normal lately.

But $200B is a ridiculous number to be underwriting for a company that isn’t even public yet.

🚨 Google's Stock Portfolio Is now 95% SpaceX

Google’s reported equity holdings jumped 24.7x to $99.1B in Q2.

The reason? Its existing $94.2B SpaceX stake became reportable following the IPO, making up 95% of the portfolio.

One position is now worth more than all its reported holdings from the previous 50 quarters combined.

🚀 SpaceX Lost a Whole Tesla

SpaceX has erased more than the entire value of Tesla since its first week of trading.

Since its debut, the company's market cap has collapsed from a $2.77T peak to $1.48T, a 46.4% drop erasing $1.28T, more than Tesla's entire $1.2T valuation.

Are we going to see SpaceX trading in double digits soon?

🤖 Inside SK hynix's AI Transformation

From $4B to $53B in quarterly revenue.

SK hynix's transformation tells the story of the AI era.

  • DRAM has shifted from PCs and smartphones to AI servers powered by HBM.
  • NAND is evolving into an enterprise SSD business as AI data centers drive storage demand.
  • Analysts now expect SK hynix's quarterly revenue to approach $100B in the years ahead.

AI didn't just create another demand cycle, it rewrote the economics of the memory industry.

🏆 A Three-Company Market

The DRAM market isn't competitive. It's concentrated.

For every $10 spent on DRAM globally, almost $9 goes to just three companies.

  • Samsung
  • SK hynix
  • Micron

Together, they control 89.7% of industry revenue.

The biggest story beneath the surface? China's CXMT has grown to 7.6% of the market - a reminder that the competitive landscape is slowly evolving as demand for AI memory continues to surge.

The question isn't whether DRAM demand will grow.

It's whether anyone can break the dominance of the industry's Big Three.

GraniteShares 2x Long LCID ($LCLD) implodes and becomes the first terminated 2x stock ETF in the US this year.

Holders of $LCDL will not receive anything despite LCID recovering later on.

GraniteShares announced that the fund's NAV turned negative after LCID's sharp decline triggered the swap counterparty to close all positions, as outlined in the fund's prospectus. With the NAV at approximately -$0.016 per share, no assets remain, meaning investors will receive $0 when the ETF is liquidated. Trading has been halted, and the fund is in the process of being delisted.

Although LCID has since recovered, that rebound has no impact because the leveraged positions were already closed at a total loss. This serves as a reminder that daily 2x single-stock ETFs are intended for short-term trading and can lose their entire value even if the underlying stock later recovers.
