Hey all, I'm new to the sub, doing a front to back listen of the BR discography, and up through The Gray Race is fucking incredible... But then I got to No Substance. And it sucked. The New America wasn't much better. The Process of Belief is strong so far, but I'm only a few songs deep.

Does anyone else feel like those two records are mediocre, or am I alone?

How do you handle the situation when someone grabs some food, whatever it is, notices it's looking rough, it's expired, and says "can I just smash this?"

AFAIK it's going in the trash, so since your window to make a buck off it has passed, does that mean it can't go to feed a person instead of the trash can?

What a great place to live. We really don't have to leave for anything outside of the odd downtown KC event or Chiefs/Royals games. Green Street has been a wonderful addition, AND we're getting our own Costco soon. We've got it good here, neighbors! ❤️

I was thinking about that Judge Dread song "je t'aime" today and how that would absolutely not fly today. Whether we want to admit it or not, ska hasn't always been this beacon of inclusion and kindness.

Some simple points: Ban corporate ownership of housing, full stop. The marketplace for houses should be at the county level. Buying a house? Buy it from the county, at a controlled, fair price. Selling your house? Sell it back to the county, at a fair price, and quickly, without the realtor BS.

Apartment complexes and other "rental" type domiciles are also owned by the county, with upkeep done by county or city employees.

Basically, let's stop profiting from shelter. We've allowed this thirst for the dollar to corrupt humanity to the point of allowing other people to freeze to death outside because they don't have enough green slips of paper. Fuck that.

Just a friendly discussion. Which do you prefer and why?

Like where they pull out a lifetime's worth of shit out of your ears because Q-tips just don't do it

I mean, it belongs in the Smithsonian or something. I dunno how else to properly gush over this particular episode but if there's an award to be given, give it to Sleepytime.

Maybe I'm just a dumb yank and it's over my head but I've never been able to make sense of this song.
