How can I change my LLC business address in New York?

When I formed my LLC in New York, I accidentally used my home address as my business mailing address.

I have a virtual business address now and would rather have all business mail sent there instead. Right now, I'm getting mail from banks and other companies at my home, and I'd like to stop that if possible.

I’d appreciate any help in changing this.

Can you start an LLC if you don't have a business yet?

I'm a little confused about how LLCs work.

I've seen people online say you should start an LLC once you're making more than $75,000 a year. Is that true?

Can you create an LLC even if you don't have a business yet? Or do you need to already be selling something or offering a service?

If you do need a business, what are some simple small business ideas that people commonly use to get started?

I seriously wished I hadn't looked up my biggest competitor…

I've spent the last several years rebuilding a struggling business from the ground up. It took a lot of long days, difficult decisions, and more stress than I'd like to admit, but things have finally turned around.

Revenue is at an all-time high, customers are coming back, and for the first time in a long while, it feels like all the effort has been worth it.

Recently, I ended up looking through some publicly available business information about my biggest competitor. I already knew they were larger than we were, but I had convinced myself that the gap was getting pretty small.

Instead, I realized they're operating on a completely different scale than I imagined. It wasn't discouraging because they're successful—it was discouraging because I suddenly felt like I'd been measuring my progress against the wrong benchmark all along.

Part of me knows comparing a relatively young business to a company that's been established for decades isn't fair, but it's hard not to feel deflated after seeing the numbers.

Did you stop paying attention and focus entirely on your own business?

GoHighLevel CRM vs Salesforce, which one is actually worth it?

I’m trying to decide between GoHighLevel CRM vs Salesforce and would love to hear from people who’ve actually used one or both.

From what I’ve seen, GoHighLevel seems to be a great all-in-one platform for agencies with built-in marketing automation, funnels, and client management. Salesforce, on the other hand, looks far more customizable and powerful, but also more expensive and potentially harder to learn.

My main priorities are lead management, automation, reporting, integrations, and choosing a platform that can grow with the business without becoming a nightmare to maintain.

If you’ve used either one, which did you end up sticking with and why?

Did Salesforce's advanced features justify the extra cost and complexity, or did GoHighLevel provide everything you needed at a better value?

I’d really appreciate any honest experiences, including any pros, cons, or things you wish you knew before making your decision.

If you want, I can also make these comparison posts sound even more like organic Reddit discussions to improve engagement and reduce the chance of looking SEO-driven.

Zoho Invoice Integration: Which Apps and Tools Work Best?

I'm considering using Zoho Invoice, but one of the biggest factors for me is how well it integrates with the rest of my workflow.

I'd really appreciate hearing about real-world workflows, any integration issues you've encountered, and what has made your invoicing process more efficient. Thanks!

When does it make sense to pay yourself a salary from an LLC?

I've been trying to learn more about LLC taxes, and one topic that keeps coming up is paying yourself a "reasonable salary." The problem is that the more I read, the less certain I am about when that actually applies.

Some articles make it sound like every LLC owner should be on payroll, while others say that's only relevant after making certain tax elections. It's difficult to separate general advice from advice that's only meant for specific situations.

I'm mainly trying to understand how paying yourself changes the way your income is reported and taxed. I also keep seeing references to a "reasonable salary," but I haven't found a clear explanation of how business owners actually determine what's considered reasonable in practice.

For those who've been through this, at what point did you start paying yourself a salary instead of simply taking owner draws, and what helped you decide it was the right move?

Salesforce vs Oracle CRM for enterprise businesses?

I’m comparing Salesforce and Oracle CRM for a business that needs a scalable CRM, and I’d really like to hear from people who have worked with either platform.

Our main priorities are sales management, customer data, reporting, automation, integrations, and long term scalability. Both seem powerful, but it’s hard to tell which one delivers the better overall experience in day to day use.

If you’ve used Salesforce or Oracle CRM, which would you choose and why? Are there any major strengths, weaknesses, or hidden costs that became obvious after implementation?

What are the best FreshBooks alternatives for small businesses?

I’ve been using FreshBooks, but I’m thinking about switching and wanted to see what other people recommend.

I’m looking for software that offers invoicing, expense tracking, reporting, and basic accounting without getting too expensive or complicated. Good customer support and an easy to use interface are also important.

If you’ve moved away from FreshBooks, what did you switch to and why? Have you found an alternative that works better for your business?

Do I need a CPA for an LLC making around $25k a year?

My single-member LLC brought in about $25k in revenue last year, and I'm trying to decide whether hiring a CPA is actually worth it.

I've been using tax software to handle everything myself, but I always end up second-guessing whether I'm categorizing expenses correctly or missing something important. The business is pretty straightforward. No employees, no inventory, just me running a small service business.

The problem is that the CPAs I've spoken with charge anywhere from $800 to $1,500 for business tax preparation, which feels like a lot relative to the size of the business.

For those with smaller LLCs, at what point did hiring a CPA become worth the cost? Did you continue filing yourself for the first few years, or did having professional help save you enough stress and potential mistakes to justify the expense?
