Progress ruined

I have really bad contamination ocd with my main theme being lice. I have not touched a single person in 4 months. Today, I decided to touch my little brother again and play with him for a bit. After that, I felt good. So later in the day I tried again by putting him on my lap, but I saw a dark bug by his head 😭

Ocd sucks. I feel like I'm going to regress and go back to my old habits. I was so happy holding him again and really thought I was getting better lol... nvm 😭

Valkyrie and Axle audio

Is anyone else having issues with the audio of these two specifically? I know Apex audio has always been iffy, but this season I've been landed on by a Valk team multiple times without any audio. Same with Axle teams 😭

Father and son, Shane and Jake ❤️

Found these while going through my mom's old camera! 🥹

Shane is the dad, and Jake is his son. Jake passed away from cancer in 2018, and Shane passed peacefully in his sleep in 2022 from old age. There was even a rainbow in the sky after we buried Shane. 🌈

I know they're happy together again in doggie heaven. ❤️🐾 We miss them every day.

First heirloom

hello everyone! I finally got my first shards after playing on and off since season 9. I main Bangalore (6k kills) and Loba (3k kills), so I thought of getting one of theirs. I mostly use Bangalore in pubs and Loba in ranked. I think Loba's heirloom is the best one in the entire game, but I'm thinking of getting a universal heirloom instead so I can use it on any legend. I like the red and pink katanas. What do you guys think? 😭

Edit: Thank you guys for the advice. I ended up getting the dual katanas. I love them! :)

mentally ill and broke (random vent) 😍

I feel like shit when I see people talking about their experiences with therapy and medication. Like I feel happy for others with access to treatment but damn, I wish I had money for those stuff too 😭

Contamination ocd disappearing?

Hello everyone~ I have/had (idk rn 😭) really bad contamination ocd, with my main theme being lice. I'd think lice is everywhere and that everyone had it. I couldn't touch things, washed my hands to the point they bled, thought of lice all day, etc.

I am diagnosed with ocd, but haven't started therapy or medication because we can't afford it. I only had 1 initial consultation with a psychologist, where I was diagnosed.

A week ago, my mom quit her job to be at home more with me. And the same day was the first day of my supposed 12th grade, which I didn't enroll in due to my mental health. And if you're curious, yes, I will sadly be repeating grade 11 due to the curriculum change 🙃

Since then, my symptoms have gone down significantly. Like I wash my hands normally, no longer have false memories of touching "contaminated" things, can touch certain things I couldn't before, etc. I don't think of lice much anymore.

My symptoms, thoughts, and compulsions aren't completely gone, but they are SO MUCH less.

I feel like I'm faking/faked having ocd. But I heard this is also a common ocd thought 😭

I'm confused as to why my symptoms suddenly lessened after that day. My mom loved her job, and I feel guilty she left because of me. I also love school and was a top student, so I'm also really sad I wasn't able to enroll this year. I also feel guilty because my treatment needs are putting financial stress on my family. Maybe these are factors? I feel like my brain was like, "look at all the stuff you ruined because of your ocd, just stop it 👹"

I'm just really confused. Wondering if anyone has experienced something similar?

Does anyone else just think they have rabies 💀

So my family has been keeping this stray cat in the house for like 3-4 years now. He's kinda family at this point. 😭

He just chills around the house (he leaves from time to time as well) but he really triggers me 🫠. He shows no symptoms of rabies or anything but he just makes me so anxious.

Every time he gets close to me I have to resist the urge to wash. But if I resist the urge to wash, I'll feel like I have rabies on me and spiral.

Earlier he got REALLY close to my leg and I'm trying to resist the urge to wash myself/shower. But I feel so agitated and infected idk 😭. I feel frustrated because I don't know if my reason for washing is actually valid or not. I feel like if I don't wash I'll get rabies and die years from now 🙃

And yes, I know there's a bunch of info out there like "rabies can't be spread via x", but I keep thinking I could be the first case 😭

I ruined my schooling

I'm supposed to be an incoming grade 12 student, but I can't go to school this year because of my mental health. My teachers are warning me about how I'll have to go back to grade 11 whenever I come back due to the curriculum change.

I really don't know what to do. I can't even function day to day or go outside, so how the hell can I even go to school? But if I don't go to school, I'll have to do 2 years of senior high again. I'm already overaged because I skipped a few years of school in the past due to an abusive situation (abusive father used to have custody over me and wouldn't let me go to school. I'm safe and with my mom now). I'm set back even more years.

I'm a With Highest Honors student but I basically ruined my academic life because I developed contamination ocd. I just know my teachers and classmates are wondering how this shit happened to me 🥲

Having my first consulation soon and terrified.

Hello everyone, I'm having my first meeting with a psychologist in 2 days and I'm terrified. I have contamination ocd, with my biggest theme being lice.

I am thankful my mom booked the appointment, but I was really hoping it would be online. I'm honestly not sure if I can leave the house to go. I feel so scared I'll catch lice from the hospital and outside. My mom also hid all the nit combs and refuses to search my hair. Even if I do manage to go out, I'll just be uneasy at home because I'll think I have lice in my hair.

She also won't allow me to go on medication, even if I really want to. I honestly don't know if I can even start ERP because I'm so deep into my ocd, and I'm mostly home alone so nobody can help me. I've tried for months and fail every time.

I used to be excited to get help but now I just want to die. My mom already paid for the appointment but just thinking of going out is giving me a panic attack. I don't know what to do. I've been frozen since my mom told me we're going, and I can't do anything.

Idk why I even posted this, not sure if I will get any advice. Just wanted to vent I guess 😭

AITAH for kicking my grandma out of our home due to her lice?

I (19F) kicked out my grandma (60F) from our home due to her lice. She moved into our home since her home is quite crowded with our other relatives. We felt bad and let her stay with us. I am not close to her or the other family members involved in this situation.

Well, turns out she had lice. She knew she had lice. Yet she never mentioned it to us.

She ended up giving it to my little brother, who is autistic and non-verbal. One day, he scratched his hair, and when I took a look, there were two lice bugs crawling side by side. He also had wounds on his scalp. It was so gross 😭

After that, we asked her if she had lice, and she said yes. We then asked her why she didn't tell us, she said that "lice isn't a problem and people can live with it". She REFUSES to treat her lice and is basically just ok with having them.

Getting rid of the lice was so hard for us. Due to my brother's autism, we had lots of other circumstances. His scalp is super sensitive, and he even has a big, raised birthmark on it. His scalp bled sometimes even if we were really gentle with the nit comb. His ears are also the same, and he flinches whenever we try to touch the area. It's also hard for him to sit still as we did the treatments. We shaved his hair as well and that was hell. In our country, lice treatments are basically just the shampoos, and those were really harsh for him too. We know he was super uncomfortable, but he couldn't express himself :(

After we kicked her out, she told our other family members about it. They were on her side and said that we overreacted. They also said the same stuff she did in regards to lice. They're SUPER offended over this whole thing. They're posting stuff about us on social media, telling neighbors/friends about us, etc 💀

Are we the assholes for kicking my grandma out?

How long for meds to start working?

Hello, I plan on starting medication for my contamination ocd soon. For those here who are on medication for ocd, how long did it take until you started to see improvements? Thank you :)

Does anyone else with ocd/contamination ocd do this?

After I wash my hands and walk away from the sink, I will start to believe that I touched something again. Even though I know I didn't. This will lead me to go back to the sink and wash again. And when I walk away to go to my room, it will happen again. Then I get into the cycle for washing for so long and just going back and forth. Does anyone else with ocd struggle with this? I keep thinking I touched something I know I didn't, and I even keep my hands lifted in front of me so I can see them. I just end up giving into the urge to wash anyways. It's exhausting. 😭😭😭

Also, if I look away from my handwashing for even just a second, or think of something else other than washing my hands, I have to restart everything.

So exhausting 😭😭😭

Antphrodite's monthly horoscopes

Hello everyone! For those who watch Antphrodite's monthly horoscopes, I was wondering if they've been accurate for you? In my case, they've either been perfect and literally everything he says happens, OR nothing he predicts happens and absolutely nothing resonates 😅. No in between lol. I love Antphrodite and I think he's amazing, I'm not a hater 😭🫶. I'm just curious as to how his predictions have been for others. His June prediction for my sign is actually super accurate to my situation, same for my mother's!

Contamination OCD medication experiences please 🫶

Hello everyone, I am struggling really badly with contamination OCD, for multiple months now. No matter how hard I try, I can barely improve or start ERP.

My family doesn't want me to take medication, and even a nurse friend suggested I don't. I am young, and they are concerned I will become dependent on it for my whole life. However, due to my condition and how bad things are getting, I'm really considering taking medication. I can barely function and live normally anymore. I'm currently taking a year off high school due to this :(

I am really confused on how the meds work. For example, if I am afraid of going outside, will I just be able to go outside with the meds? If I am afraid of a certain couch, will the meds let me be able to sit on it? 😅

For people who have contamination ocd, I'd like to hear your honest experiences with taking medication. Thank you so much ❤️.
