Which is the better/recommended Wifi connection for the vSeeBox? My mesh router doesn't have an option to put VPN on the guest network (otherwise I'd probably just do that). Thanks!

Edit: I got an email that my photos were approved right about 24 hours after I got them all uploaded. Now the wait for the next steps! I hope to get this installed maybe by Halloween or Thanksgiving!

We haven't had landline service to our house in about 20 years (switched to Ooma voip and cell phones). Had our siding replaced last week and they removed the old landline access box. Looks like just 1 wire going from the box inside of that tube. Can I just cut the wire and cap that tube near the ground? Is it ok to discard that box? Do I need to call someone (I don't even know who the current local land phone provider is...prob AT&T?). Thanks!
I have a domain setup with email forwarding to my Gmail (have had this for many years, and used the Google domains prior to it becoming Squarespace).
While from what I can tell most all of the emails sent to my at domain.com email forward and deliver just fine to my targeted Gmail email account, some have not. Specifically when I have been part of a group send from a friend or family member that sent to 4-8 people I find out about the email from my wife). I then ask that person to re-send directly and it comes through.
I verified my Gmail settings and there are no filters. And I of course checked spam and trash and promotions and social. Nothing there.
Has this happened to others? I have to think its something with the Squarespace forwarding that just causes some of these emails to go to vapor? Thanks!
So, I've had a setup in my living room for about 9 years with an overhead Epson 2250 HD projector along with a Sony STR-DH550 receiver and a 5.1 speakers. I have an Apple TV 4K box conected to the receiver and receiver to projector.
I am looking to move to a 4K projector and picked up a BenQ TK705i. Not mounted yet, but have it hooked up in the same manner as the Epson. Very nice display!
HOWEVER, every time I adjust the volume, the screen goes dark, switches to a different display resolution, then switches back. Takes at least 10-15 seconds with every tap of the volume. Also, it does not display at all from my Apple TV when set to 4K HDR, but it does this on 4K SDR. AND if I set the Apple TV to 1080p SDR (like I had with the Epson) the issue no longer persists. HDMI cable tests are good and its a big thick one that is in-wall from an electrician installer 9 years ago.
My guess is that it is a limitation of the Sony STR-DH550 receiver. Does this sound likely? Do I need to get a newer receiver that can handle HDR? Let me know your thoughts and options before I plunk down another $600-$900 for a receiver. Thanks!
I see that the BenQ TK705i has Google integrated. Does it always have to boot into that first where then I'd have to manually switch to HDMI? I'd prefer to boot the projector directly to HDMI since I plan to use my Apple TV box with this. Thanks!
I just got the BenQ TK705i to replace my 5-year-old ceiling mounted Epson 2250. The Epson had the power supply built into the main unit so I just had the power cord neatly connected to my ceiling outlet right net to the projector mount.
For this TK705i, it must have been intended for floor or table mounting because it comes with a huge power brick like a typical laptop has. What do you all suggest for placement of this thing? somehow just lay it on top of the projector and mounts? Thanks!
I have an Apple Family account with 6 of us including myself. I actually have 2 of the 6 accounts because the primary was setup forever ago using a non-icloud (gmail) email address and had Apple Family Music and other purchases tied to it.
None of my devices use this account and I'd like to change the organizer to my other member account (which does have an icloud email address and I use for everything).

Last week I ordered the Max 4 Combo (with Qidi box) and Polar Cooler combo for the $1399. However, when delivered, I only got the Max 4 with the Qidi box mounted inside the Max 4. I did not get the Polar Cooler.
For those that ordered it the same way, did the Polar Cooler come separately and later? it definitely was not in the huge printer box (I don't see how it could have fit anyway). Thanks!
I've had my ceiling-mounted Epson 2250 for about 5 years now. Very good projector for our needs. Love watching movies and sports on the projected 135" screen.
Looking at getting a 4K projector possibly. I'm fine with the Epson brand, but open to others too. I saw the Epson 2350 is the suggested 4K replacement and they still sell the old 3800 4K projector as well.
Any good recommendations? I'd like to keep it under $1500 if possible. Or just keep what i have for now til it dies? Thanks!

I bought a used Rustler that has what appears to be the older 5460 GTR shocks on it. Comparing them to the 7461 GTR shocks that are on the front of my Rustler ultimate, they look to be pretty close. The bottom caps on the 5460 don't have the screw to prevent caps popping off, and the lengths are pretty close.
Is there any reason that the older 5460's would be "bad" for use on the front of the Rustler? Thanks!
Are these noticeably better for the prior gen Rustler Ultimate and Rustler 4x4 VXL? I have the larger diameter Sledgehammers on my Stampede and they are very good for that vehicle. Curious what you think or if anyone has tried them. I was thinking of getting 4 of these tires for my Rustler Ultimate. Thanks!
10 foot long quartz countertop with two sinks were installed last week in our master bathroom. NOBODY noticed apparently that one of the sinks (which should be symmetric from each end as they both sit on top of 42" vanities) was off center by 1 inch. I noticed it after I got home from work and the install was complete. Super noticeable since the left edge vs right edge aligns with the vanity cabinet below with a 2" difference.
I'm requesting they remove it, make a new one, and reinstall. Are there any concerns that the three vanity cabinets below will be damaged when they remove it? I'm sure with the backsplash and sidesplash removals from the drywall there will be patching and painting required. But my main concern is possible damage to the cabinets below.
Any experiences with a removal and replacement of a large quartz countertop? Thanks!

Thanks to the $1100 trade-in promo now, I will be trading a regular 16 in for a 17 Pro Max and then plan to give that 17PM to my wife to replace her 16PM (16PM will then go to our kid).

One of my old Rustler 4x4 VXL (older model 67076-4) cars I modified to become a 2WD (4x4 is better, but my buddies like to run the older 2WD for a few races here and there). I didn't want to go buy a separate 2WD car, so this one with the mod hopefully will be fine.
Anyway, all I did was remove the center drive shaft as well as the two front drive shafts and installed a couple of 6854X stubs. Now runs as a 2WD.
What I was wondering, since the 2WD cars come with 25/83 gearing and this 4x4 came with 11/54, can I up the pinion to a 16T to have effectively the same ratio and get some extra speed out of this modified Rustler? I have a fan on the ESC and a heatsink/fan on the VXL motor. Any reason why that might be a bad idea? I want to make sure I can keep up with, and ideally beat, the other guys with the 2WD cars that can really scoot. Thanks!

If I have a VXL 3500 motor and 54T spur, which is more harsh with respect to heat and stress on the system (or are they actually equal?)?

Master bathroom remodel is underway, and we need to decide on which type of glass shower doors we are going with: slider or swing?
Old shower was a slider so we are used to that. Wife prefers a swing door this time, but I have concerns. There is a wood door that will go back into the opening as shown for the toilet/closet area. Hinges are on the right side on that frame. Can't flip those hinges because the vanity will run along the entire left side of the bathroom (where I am standing).
Keeping the shower valve and fixture where it is, it makes more sense to have that left side of the shower be where a hinge door would be affixed, but I am concerned with it bumping into the wooden door (if left ajar) that is hinged just a few inches away. Slider won't interfere of course. Putting the hinged door on the other end of the shower would be a pain to turn the shower on without getting sprayed with cold water as it warms up.
What do you think? Would a hinged door mounted on left side really be a concern like I feel? Is a slider a better option? Thanks!
