A painful sore near my elbow that has been there for nearly a month. What's causing it?
Hello
Male, age: 40...
I've had this for almost a month now...
I also have other sores on my forehead (like flat angiomas), but I’ve never had anything like this before...
I have other sores on my receding hairline as well...
It’s been 2–3 years now, and they don’t seem to be healing...
No diabetes or anything...
My blood sugar was borderline (in the gray zone for a while) but seems to have returned to normal below 1 g (within the normal range).
I had severe insulin resistance (HOMA index of 4.5) that I managed to reverse...
I have a dermatology appointment at the university hospital this month with a resident at the end of the month...
I had my first appointment last year during the same month...
The biopsy didn’t reveal anything—just prurigo...
But since it’s come back, he told me to contact them again if it returns...
Regarding this sore on my arm (photo attached), if it’s still there, I should specify that it’s been there since a certain date...
Aside from waiting for the appointment, what could this indicate?
I have to travel a long way to get to the appointment.
Would I be able to drive if I had a biopsy on my scalp or elsewhere...?
Otherwise, I’ll go to the university hospital.
Thank you!
