Reporting an injury question [NJ]

So I recently started a new job and it was more lifting than I was used to. I woke up the next day with severe neck pain, and not sure if I’ll be able to continue this type of work. Is it worth reporting the injury to the job if it is only part time? For reference I am 2 months into a job changing tires, and some of the truck tires really strained my neck and back trying to lift back in place.

Thanks for any advice!

Question about being injured on the job

So about 2 months ago I started a tire changing job for a wholesale club. My last shift I was lifting a lot of unusually heavy truck tires, and the next morning I woke up with a really bad sore neck. So much so that 5 days later now I had to call out of work. I’m also part time. Is it worth filing an injured on the job type of situation under these circumstance?

Thanks

Manager played my sick call out to an employee

He claimed he couldn’t understand me , which is BS since I left my full name, work ID and department. He then played my voicemail to my girlfriend that also works there claiming he couldn’t tell if it was me. Is this not a violation? HIPAA or otherwise?

Hurt myself at work, still in 90 days

Hi I started working in the tire bay a few weeks ago, and was really straining lifting some of the truck tires up to the screws/bolts when putting tires back on. A few days ago I woke up with horrible neck pain and had to call out. They told me I couldn’t call out because I’m still within 90 days of hire and my next day is tomorrow. Can I tell them I want to do a light day tomorrow as far as lifting stuff? Because sometimes I will work in the store as well.

thanks!

Clogged drain or air vent issue?

About a month ago my kitchen sink started to slowly backup until it was really bad. I used Draino and let it soak for hours, then flushed with hot water. It seemed to clear the line, but literally by the next day it was slowly backing up again.

The plumber said it was probably our air vent, because the sink will make a hiccuping noise a few minutes after running water. He wants to put an air vent under our sink since he cannot get to the one on top of our building (2 story condo). My question is what if he adds the air vent but the issue was actually a clog that never fully cleared?

I’m assuming if I pay him to snake the drain and it doesn’t do anything and he finds out it was really the air vent, I’d still get charged for the snaking.

Any advice on what to do in this situation? I appreciate any feedback you guys can offer!

[Product Question] Estée Lauder’s Revitalizing Supreme + Bounce

Hi I was just wondering if anyone has experience with this product and if so, was it any good? It is expensive and I’m just trying to figure out why.

Thanks for any feedback!

[NJ] [Condo] Plumber says exit vent [on roof] is why sink is hiccuping

Technically my HOA is supposed to fix anything above our ceiling (attic and roof) and my sink has been hiccuping after running water for about a month. The plumber says the exit vent is on the roof but he could attach a separate vent under our sink because he doesn’t work roofs.

should the HOA pay for someone to fix the air vent on the roof that is causing an issue with our drain pipe?

Thanks for any advice!

Possible burst pipe in wall

I recently cleared my sink clog, only to start hearing what sounds like raindrops behind my bathroom wall while the kitchen sink is running. Is it possible a pipe burst and that’s why the sink cleared? Also after running in the kitchen, the drain will hiccup for about an hour.

thanks for any feedback!

Possible pipe leak behind wall

So I recently cleared my kitchen sink drain clog, and then realized while running water in the kitchen, it almost sounds like water drops hitting a hard surface behind the bathroom wall. Could clearing the kitchen sink possibly just be clear because now it is exiting out of a burst pipe in the bathroom wall?

Thank you for any advice on this!

Sounds of water dropping behind bathroom wall

Hi everyone. I recently noticed when I run my kitchen sink, it kind of sound like water falling and hitting a hard surface, kind of like when it’s raining hard outside and you hear it landing on the roof. I’m really worried because I recently cleared a badly clogged kitchen sink and was wondering if the problem just went to an open leak in the wall?

Thank you all for any advice on this!

Draino overnight?

I’ve been trying to clear a clog in my kitchen sink for the past few days now with no luck. I think it got a little better, but still is struggling and little air bubbles will pop up in the drain. Is it OK to leave Draino overnight? I have PVC piping underneath the sink.

Thanks for any feedback!
