beautiful card, BBWF has some really low pops

This texture is unreal! It has blue gloss/shimmer, so it shifts between blue and purple depending on the lighting

the 8 has one of the most perfect swirl placements I’ve seen, and the 3 has a really rare head swirl in-between the gap although condition is low. The 9 has a swirl in the corner and is the higher grade.

Both PSA 8 and 3, or the one PSA 9?

Legit?

Probably not for future releases. A couple distinctions though.

-Surging Sparks is not a unique release in any way, Thai is just now printing this set too.

-These early exclusives were likely to establish a strong market for S-Chinese since it’s the newest market. Now that it’s exploded in popularity for a little while, TPC no longer needs to make every new S-Chinese artwork permanently barred from international releases.

-Mew ex was part of a year-long S-Chinese 151 campaign, “Collect 151”, which is completely unique to China with special names for each release. The box arts of the Gem Pack series are designed around exclusive cards too, and the wechat app used for the promotional run is a predominantly chinese app.

-151 has already been released in all other languages, so a new reprint wouldnt really fit anywhere. Almost all of the other exclusives were tied to the campaign and Gem series.

All speculation though, can never say for sure what they will do. I don’t think they will suddenly rerelease old exclusives, as regional exclusives have always been a thing since the TCG began. Just isn’t a given now for every new release 😉

I used to collect yugioh a TON but probably nothing after around 2008 or so, all my cards have been in storage. I had an English promo card as a kid, some Seto Kaiba set idr.

Figured I’d try to find the coolest/rarest version of it out there!

It might have a lil white dot on the edge on the back but I dont mind at all. This is like the best centered bubble Mew in a pristine 10 I could find! Just such a great slab with the black and gold pristine label, very happy about this one :)

It was too good for Gem Mint imo, I cracked and resubmitted. I honestly feel like some of my cards got knocked down harshly in my previous 20-card sub (im sure most feel this way). it’s not a sequential set anymore but whatever, still was cheaper than selling and buying a new slab and my pristine danciao set is now self-complete! 🥳
