My August Practice Snail Mail

Hello, this is a showcase of month 2 of my practice christian snail mail club that I designed for a handful of my friends and family (they've already received it). I'm disabled waiting for wrist surgery and I can't do much so this is just for fun.

I love designing things so if you like Christian art, I'll share tutorials and stuff in the future on my YouTube.

I used IbisPaintX to draw the sticker sheet & art. I used Canva to help me layout the Bingo Card and Cricut to cut everything. I write a poem each month to go with the theme. (I definitely ask the Holy Spirit to help me lol)

This month's theme was Dining With Jesus 🍴📚❤️🕊 Every month has a theme song but I can't share this month's yet because it's a QR code hidden in the bingo game and not everybody has found it yet 😁🐌💌

Gifted to me today

My neighbor's daughter found this at the local free clothing pantry. She said it looked like me and gave it to me because I like stationery. She's so sweet lol

Decorating NT Cover Page

I found a picture on Pinterest and loosely based it on that. I put a sketchbook underneath so it wouldn't bleed through to the first chapter of Matthew while writing and coloring. I think I'll add more decorations one day but it's a cute start.

Air Fryer Ground Bison & Eggs

My first time trying ground bison! It's good and it tastes like sweet ground beef. I added beef tallow/salt and a couple of buttered marbled fried eggs.

I don't have good air fryer instructions except I threw in about 2 (or 3? didn't measure) Tbsp beef tallow, set it to 400° F air fry and kept stirring it up about every 3 minutes. It took something like around 15 minutes.

Seronegative Rheumatoid

This is what a bad flare up day looks like. Inflammation on the knuckle/bone spurs. My thumb joint is dislocated/lodged against my palm. Right wrist partially collapsed and left wrist fully collapsed.

I went misdiagnosed until April of this year and during the last 2-3 years had rapid degradation. It happened so fast that I've mentally had a difficult time processing and slowing down using them which caused more damage.

It's hard coming to terms with having limitations. They suspect that I had undiagnosed JIA. I was misdiagnosed with minor tendinitis at 21. Then osteoarthritis at 35. I'm now 37. Seronegative is the type that can't be detected from the markers they have available to test with. I tested negative for lupus. Both of my grandmothers had rheumatoid.

Waiting for surgery and SSI approval has been a long process that's still ongoing. Sure, I had stiffness and pain in my hands starting as a teen but I still didn't see this coming. I know God has a purpose and a plan but it still kind of sucks lol. 🫠

Shocking PMS cravings

I'm on month 2 of mostly carnivore (I usually just say ketovore cause I'm up to like 75%). I rarely ever eat bacon at all. Literally just a few pieces once in a blue moon. Well, two days ago I ate an entire pack PLUS half of another pack then a few eggs for that whole day. I thought.. okay this has to be PMS or something. Lo and behold I was right 😂 Before, I would crave junk food but never feel full. This time it was simply just tons of bacon. I didn't even crave chocolate or anything else, which is crazy.

I didn't have the usual bloating at all (which is also crazy, like what 🤯) but I still suffered the mood issues feeling hormonal rage, bouts of crying. Has anybody else found they crave something particular during PMS since starting carnivore? The bacon episode was totally out of character for me lol so I thought it was interesting. I just feel so much more full since starting this and the changes have been really nice.

Christian book commentary

I've been enjoying "The Well Watered Woman" by Gretchen Saffles recently and while reading today, I was inspired to make a short commentary about 1) anxiety 2) some of my experiences with the gift of discernment of spirits and 3) encouragement for when we feel weak.

I also wrote a corresponding Substack article. The info is in my bio and I don't use AI or ChatGpt at all. I'm not promoting anything for sale, just reaching out to share some Christian literary love. If you also like reading Christian books and discussing them, feel free to join me on my YouTube or Substack because my channel will have topics like these as it grows (currently very small). I also love creating stationery and I like sharing the art process behind that too. 📚🌱❤️🕊

Being grossed out by the taste of grassfed steak?

Has anybody else experienced this? I cooked this grassfed sirloin a couple days ago and was immediately repulsed. I checked the date and it wasn't expired. It tasted like straight up grass so bad that I gagged and the taste lingered for so long. I haven't experienced this with any other of my beef that's not grassfed.

I kept trying to eat it but I couldn't get over the taste. I smelled it and gagged again. Then I felt bad but had to toss it. I was so confused until I remembered a video that I watched a few weeks ago when a woman was saying her children cannot eat grassfed ground beef because the taste was so heavy/grassy.

Successful omad today

I had 1 cup black coffee at 7 am, water throughout the day then omad dinner from 4:30-6:30. I was ravenous so just a picture of Cronometer stats.

I went way over my carb goals but am super happy with the fat/protein/cals. 1 month of practicing high fat carnivore on some days with ketovore on others - not fat adapted yet. The mango got me today 😂

I want to take control of my days with the freedom that omad gives because I have grown weary of continual food obsession throughout the day. I have 30 lbs to lose but that's secondary.

These are the price highlights from my shopping trip this past week 🥹❤️ This same jar of ghee alone is about $25 on Amazon!!

My July Practice Snail Mail Club

I have a handful of friends and family participating in my practice snail mail club and this was the first month that they received 🥰

One day, I'd like to do this officially but it will be a long time because I've been waiting on a wrist fusion surgery plus more hand/wrist surgeries after that.

It's just something small and cute to do with my time since I'm unable to work due to the severity of my conditions. The Cricut machine really helps! I also like to make other art as I'm able ❤️

From the lyrics of Forrest Frank, "Life gave me some Lemons but my Jesus ~ He be makin' lemonade" 🍋🎶

How did you first realize that Jesus is God in the flesh and not just a mere man? (+ testimony)

For me, the realization came when I read the first chapter of John. I kept going back and forth between the 1st and 14th verse and then it clicked. I was stunned because up until that point I had been so curious as to who is this Jesus, really?

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, *and the Word was God* ~ John 1:1

*The Word became flesh* and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth

~ John 1:14

When I was 14, I was baptized but didn't understand at all and I thought Jesus was just a guru of some sort. I was a depressed, anxious, rebellious child. For many years, I felt unsettled about the lingering thought of who Jesus was because it still felt like an unanswered question. The Holy Spirit was working on my heart and mind but I was more interested in wordly things that only ripped my life apart.

I did not know that Jesus was literally God coming down to take our sins upon Himself. That changed everything in my mind about Him. For so long, I was suffering a delusion and claiming Christianity without fully understanding or believing. I lived in a false sense of Christianity and also came out of New Age beliefs. I love me some Melissa Dougherty videos lol. The depth of her commentary on New Age beliefs is very pleasing.

So, I was truly baptized with faith around 4-ish years ago, give or take. It has not been easy because I've suffered violent demonic attacks but I live in God's grace from glory to glory and that brings me comfort in knowing that I have His help even when things are just terrible or I fall short. So.. how did you first connect the dots? ❤️

Sticker sheet I made

Process: I drew the lemon background/flowers/lemonade cup on IbisPaintX then incorporated a couple Canva elements in as mixed media with my art. My sticker sheets are printing lighter than I'd like but it still came out decent.

Not for sale, just for fun. ❤️
