Losing money in KDI

This is so funny and sad.

I took out my funds from kdi after the recent change but left some just to keep the account active. I checked just now and my total return is negative 31.

Toyota Crown captured at twilight.

Gangster looking taxi. Unfortunately couldn't take the front/profile.

Is Switch 2 worth buying yet?

Aside from Mario Kart World and Pokopia, any other games worth getting a switch for? Or should I wait until the next Zelda?

RN I'm pretty happy playing random games and remakes on S1.

Myanmar/Nepalese run kedai mamak

I'm having an early lunch around 11am at a upscale kedai mamak (sells nasi lemak/gepuk but basically just a kedai mamak) with partially air cond sections.

The staff were having a meeting before lunch time, and the manager/team leader was a nepalese/Myanmar and so was the entire staff. The short meeting was done in their language entirely. Then the manager got on a call with the big boss I assume and relayed the info in Malay.

I know it's nothing surprising or "so what" but to see assimilation happen in real time is kind of surreal. Just some Monday blues observation

Test water KDI invest. Annnnnd it's gone

So I was mulling over to put the rm5k in KDI invest to trigger the 3.8% on Save. I've had 200 bucks or so in Invest for a few years usually no up or down.

So I decided to put a little bit more and see what happens, I upped to rm500 and within a week it dropped to rm3xx. Risk. - balanced.

So I was thinking gosh if I put 5k and it can lose %%% anytime and not only I lose my money, I don't even get the promised 3.8% once it dipped below 5k.

Mildly Infuriating: my cheapo ph meter is freaking out after I accidentally dropped it into the water.

Of all things in the world that should be water resistant, should be a water testing device.

I think my office car wash anneh ran away after I paid lump sum

So this anneh from India washes car in my office parking lot. He charges rm50/month for superficial cleaning few days a week.

Seems like he's been there for years since many senior staff knows him well. I joined about a year ago.

I was late to pay him twice in a row so I decided to just pay lump sum for the entire year. Rm600. He seemed abnormally excited for this amount of money, which I presume he gets even more on payday anyway.

So 2 days after I paid, he was nowhere to be seen, usually comes in every other day. Now it has been 3 weeks since start of the month and my car hasn't been washed.

I suspect he got enough money to pay off his debt or flew back home for holiday.

PSA: this subreddit is the worse place to get advice or recommendations.

Every good or bad story is perfectly curated by their marketing employee. Anyone genuinely trying to give their opinion will be overshadowed by meticulously written review of the brand they're working for.

So, to first time buyers or just anyone in general. Just buy whatever you like. They're all good enough. Don't need to look through here

Such an incredible action movie, which I think should be the level all action movies thrive to reach.

I was blessed by the YouTube shorts algorithm and had unknowingly watched the first half of the movie in 1 minute sections over the past few weeks. So I thought heck I'll finish the movie.

The beginning 30 minutes caught me out of breath and just when I thought oh the opening action is done and it's gonna be some story or character development, NOPE, straight back to explosions and pure Australia.

Of course the plot armors were thicker for some characters but I'd say it's to be expected for this type of movie. It's only a thousand kamikazies vs 1 main character, of course the main character will win. /s btw

The villains were so interesting it's a shame they didn't get fleshed out more (heh). I hardly knew anything about Joe or how the citadel functioned.

The only real wtf moment I had was during the finale chase scene and the ending. All hundreds of them fail to catch the truck? Really? And why would they give the citadel up? Joe must have his generals and lieutenants who can command loyalty.

Great movie to watch when having a long day.
