What is this boundary line within the town of Hartford?

What is this boundary line within the town of Hartford?

The blue line is the town boundary of Hartford. But what is the interior blue boundary line just north of the word "Quechee" on the map? This is from the Zillow website but it is not a question about real estate. It's not a boundary of QLLA, you can see the ski area is outside that line.

USB adaptors output ratings

I'm considering buying a USB powered item (heated eye mask). It plugs into a USB port, says it needs a 2A adaptor. What would happen if I plugged it into a 1A, 2.4A, or 5A output adaptor? I have a bunch of adaptors for Kindles etc, none that is exactly 2A. By adaptor I mean something that plugs into the wall outlet. Thanks.

Xfinity speed problem - wifi is slow, would a wired connection help?

I have a 9 year old Lenovo laptop and an Xfinity router/modem. I am supposed to get 1000MBPS service. Xfinity sends me emails saying I get 1G to the router, but whenever I do a speed test on the laptop, it's around 200MBPS. The router is right next to the laptop. Would I get the promised speed if I had a cable connecting the router to the laptop?

Moss garden

someone was telling me about a book, seemed to have moss garden in the title, but it was a novel. They weren't sure of the title. May have been set in the Boston MA area. Of course Amazon is NO help, it just brings up gardening books. Please help, it sounds interesting. TIA

interested in comments on one state vs the other.

I've lived in VT since 1988, in NH for 8 years before that (but not in UV). I am currently renting in VT but looking to buy a small house on 1+ acres of land, quiet location. As a senior, what would be the difference between owning in the two states, as well as just living?

Medicare Medigap plans? I was told by BCBS I could still keep my VT plan in another state, although that sounds odd. Currently paying $257/mo for Plan G.

Income tax? my income comes from SS and retirement accounts.

Property Tax? I think it would be a bit less in NH?

Anyone who has lived in both states, I would love to hear your opinion.

2014 Prius maintenance reset

I get the step on how to do this, will this also reset my Trip A odometer to zero? I do not want that. Trip A gets reset when I change the tires (seasonal) and Trip B gets reset when I fill up with gas. Yeah I'm weird like that.

did KBB lose their minds?

I have a 2014 Prius V that I got from a relative, fairly low mileage for its age (78K). When I registered it in my state, they valued it at around $8K for excise tax purposes, this was 2 years ago. I was wondering what the value is now and went to KBB, they said $15,300 if I sell it privately. Are they delulu or what?

what did you play with when you were a kid?

I was watching something about dolls, which I didn't really play with much when I was a kid (F 70, grew up in US suburbs). What did I play with? Lots of outside play, jump rope, hopscotch, tag, chinese jump rope, mud pies, red light, etc. Inside, we had a kids record player and some old 78 records. Card games, board games. Barbie dolls. Friend and I would walk our dogs in the cemetery next door, or roller skate (it had paved roads, our sidewalks were not paved in my neighborhood). I didn't have a bike until I was about 12 but then used to ride it everywhere.

So how about you?

Trying to get a photo to be accepted

(US) Every wall in my house is off white; when I take a photo in front of it, it shows up as beige or tan. Is there some trick I can do to make it look more white? I am using an Android phone and taking a selfie so flash is not available. I am using natural light, I have skylights and it's sunny today. Does it make a difference what I am wearing?

UPDATE - I used passportphotowiz (dot) com to remove the background and it got accepted, at least initially. We'll see if it is successful, I understand someone human has to approve it as well. Thanks for all the good suggestions.

Lay or lie

Just read this line in a book and it bothers me. (paraphrase) "His family donated the manuscript to the historical society where it would lay forgotten." Shouldn't it be "lie"?

Elila bras - question about straps, what to do with loose ends

I bought one off Ebay, the straps have loose ends but I figured I would deal with that somehow. I tried putting them in the other way so the loose ends would be next to my body but the length did not hold that way. Then I saw on the website that they are meant to be tucked into the pads that cushion the shoulders. Is there some secret for getting them in there? And then getting the shoulder pads in the right position, while keeping the straps at the correct length? Am I meant to sew the straps at the right length?

I can't see how to add a photo but this Ebay listing shows the loose ends. bra

amazfit band 5 acting up

namely, it counts steps while I am driving my car. I drove 180 miles today and it's currently at almost 12000 steps. My real step count should be about 3000. It doesn't always do this, just enough to be annoying. Any fixes, beside leaving it home when I drive? Time for a new one? I got this one about 2 years ago.

Elila bra, anyone have experience with? seems tight

I bought one off ebay - calculator says I should be 36J, I bought a 38J and it is SO tight, even on the first set of hooks (back closure). It does not seem to have much stretch to it at all. Even holding it in both hands and trying to stretch it, much less than other bras I have.

I must say I am happy with the J cup, my other bras were G or H.

large black bird with ORANGE feet, northern New England

It looked like a crow except its feet were orange. I saw it fly by twice, it was near a small pond on the property. I'm stumped, Google showed me a similar bird but it lives in Switzerland.

went for a short trip with a friend, they used points for a stay but got billed

Hotel charged the whole room rate which friend found out when they got home. Points were through a CC, which the hotel obviously had on file. CC wanted to refund the points, they had to fight to get the hotel to refund the actual money, which still hasn't happened. (the usual 7-10 business days).

Does this sound shady or an honest mistake?

Youtube scambaiters that disappeared

Been watching for a long time and wondering what happened to some of them.

Boda Scambaits - just stopped uploading?

G-Man Scam Patrol - one of his last videos was a refund scam that did NOT connect to the PC, never saw one like that before.

David Jones - scambaiter from Australia, unique laconic voice.

Who else can you add to the list, that you miss watching?
