Hey everyone! I'm bringing my first limited-edition resin art toy, Guers Art to NYCC this year. Each piece is hand-cast / hand-painted by me, and this is the first time I'm showing my work in person, so I'm pretty nervous and very excited;

This is Guers Art // an 11in hand-painted resin sculpture, and my first fully realized limited run: 50 numbered pieces per edition.

The subject is a beaver, Canada's national animal. I chose it because Canada is the country that took me in and gave me a new life; and the beaver felt fitting beyond that too, since it's known as a builder and a hustler, an animal that works constantly to shape its own environment. That felt like the right symbol for a piece that's essentially about starting over and building something from scratch.

Every piece is hand-painted individually, so no two are identical in finish even within the same edition.

Would love thoughts on the form and finish from this community;what's working, what you'd push further.

Just finished my first full run // Guers Art; named them Mocha and Obsidian; 11in hand-painted resin, individually numbered out of 50 per edition.

Sculpted, converted to 3D, then hand-cast and hand-painted for the final pieces. This one took 2 hours of paint work alone.

Would love to hear what collectors think of the finish and design.

I already got 50 people in the email waitlist which has been a nice surprise

Building a Shopify store for a new resin figure brand / limited edition, 50 units per design, going for that KAWS / Bearbrick collectible energy.

Right now the site is just a coming-soon page with email signup, so there's not much to "review" yet; that's kind of the point. I want the foundation right before I build out product pages.

First store I've ever run, so I'd rather ask now than fix mistakes later:

What should a coming-soon page for a drop-based brand include beyond email capture? (countdown, preview shots, social proof?)

How do collectible/streetwear brands structure product pages to sell scarcity / numbered editions, certificates of authenticity, that kind of thing?

Best way to convert email signups into buyers on drop day without it turning into a bot free-for-all?

Any Shopify themes or stores you'd point to as doing "limited-edition art toy" well?

These are resin / hand-sculpted, hand painted and this batch took me about 2 months to get from sketch to finished piece.

I went with a beaver as the subject because it's basically a walking symbol of where I'm from (Canada); stubborn, hardworking, builds things nobody asked it to build. Felt like the right first piece to put my name on.

A few things I'd genuinely love feedback on:

• Sculpt/proportions / anything look off?
• Any coloring/theme suggestions for the future drops?
• General feedbacks overall

My life was boring as fuck so I started going out and just fighting people. I started putting on a ski mask and at first it was only homeless people then it evolved to high school kids and now I’m picking fights with grown men. I even have a nemesis. I beat up the same guy a couple times, found out where he works so I catch him off guard after he gets off work. He’s been posting on Facebook about catching me at night and giving me what I deserve. Dude drives around at night with a shotgun trying to kill me. My life is so much more exciting now am I crazy for doing this?
