2006 Hyundai Coupe worth buying as a daily?

Looking to replace my focus. Came across this on Facebook marketplace. Focus is starting to have issues (it’s at 97k miles). Not sure if I wanna repair the focus so I am looking at these. They look like fun.
Is it worth paying this money or will I end up having to fork out even more money in repairs for this car rather than paying for the focus to be repaired.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks all.

2007 Automatic SLK 200

Looking to buy a new car to replace my current focus. One of these looks like fun to drive and with a price like £1500 Im tempted. However this is the sellers description. Not sure if it’ll just turn into a money pit.

“Spares or Repairs
Mercedes Slk 200
1.8 petrol automatic
Engine run fine but is cut out when it warms up , after cold down it starts again and running till warms up so will need to be trailered away.
MOT till May 2027
Mileage 107k
£1500
Thanks”

Is this an easy and cheap repair and then I’ll be able to make it my daily or not worth it?

Thanks all.

How to recover recycled files that are outside of the recycle bin

(the device's storage is so full that windows CANNOT reinstall itself) - Its an old Acer

Images from a recycle bin on an old laptop that doesn't boot up on windows were copied to a file on a Linux USB and then put on to my google drive. As they came from a recycle bin, they are still in that format in my google drive. Any idea how to restore them so they are viewable?

Thanks all.

Hyundai Coupe siii

2008 Hyundai coupe for £1900.

I really like the look of it and am going to see it on Saturday. Based off the description is it worth its price? And advice when I go and see it?

Toyota MR2 & Celica - Automatic

UK - what is the chance I find either of these two cars for £2000 within reasonable driving distance of east London. Currently I have a 2008 Ford focus Zetec 1.6L automatic with 96k miles. Mechanically it’s not doing too bad but I’m getting a bit bored of it.
Ideally I’d love a Celica but a hard top MR2 is really nice. So far I’ve seen an MR2 hardtop automatic BUT it’s in Northern Ireland so I’m NEVER going to be able to get that one 💔💔.
I don’t have a massive amount of money for repairs so I’d really like the new car to have a good MOT & had key components replaced such as the timing belt. Any advice in finding one of these? I am looking for another car as well but it’s not a Toyota so I’ll leave it out.

Thanks all :)

Looking for Hyundai Coupe

UK - looking for an automatic, less than 95000 miles with a good MOT. So far on Autotrader I’ve found 2 - however both have rust issues on their MOT which I’m not prepared to deal with right now. Budget is anything less than £4000.
Be realistic with me, is it at all possible to even find one like this?

Thanks everyone :)

Lost an item at home. Is there some kind of professional i can call to look and find it.

(UK) Lost a phone at home with no sim. I'm certain its somewhere in the living room. What or who do i call to help. the phone is very important.

Edit: phone was found underneath a sofa - strange thing is that these sofas touch the ground so it couldn’t have slid underneath, someone would have had to lift the sofa and put the phone underneath.

Reliable or not worth it?

Looking at getting a new car - bored of my 1.6L ford focus. This one has rust listed as an advisory on its MOT though so Im not sure if it’s worth it.

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks all :)

Likely issues or all good?

My current car is a 1.6L 2008 ford focus Zetec (auto) with 92000 miles on it. Paid £4450 for it. Think it’s starting to have issues and I’ll sound crazy but it’s got an aura of bad luck.

Had a look at this cars MOT and although its passed I see rust issues as advisories.

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks all :)

Red week incoming?

Edit: Will be much more than a week of red (I think)

Soon spacex will IPO (12th June) and is valued at almost $2 Trillion. They loose $13 billion a year. However because of their valuation they will be added to the S&P 500 and All-world as large portions (like how nvidia, Microsoft and apple etc are the majority % of the pie). It’s almost certain that I’ll be a pump & dump but as a holder of all-world will we not be forced into buying even though it’ll be an absolute red stock?

If anyone has any thoughts on this I’d love to know. I’m not an expert my any means I’m only an 18 year old uni student who started a few months ago but this has been worrying me a little.

Thanks all :)

Am I a bad driver?

On my way home from work and this car put the breaks on. Obviously (maybe to me) the car pulling out of the petrol station was going to merge into the left lane and not cross instantly to the right so why did this driver break suddenly? Am I following too closely to the car in front? I’ve only been driving for about 4 months so if anyone could let me know if I’m doing something wrong or if you have any thoughts on this I’d love to know.

Thanks all :)

Any improvements?

Hi, I’m 18 and started in March. In addition to this ISA, I also have £5245 in a high risk stocks and shares and £5840 in a high risk LISA with OneFamily. Advice on if I should keep the money split between ISA’s (leave the LISA alone) or put one into the other. Also are my current holdings any good or is there any others I should have a look at?

Thanks all :)

Air-con smelling

I have a 2008 ford focus Zetec. 91000 miles.
Heating & aircon doesnt work on settings 0,1 & 2. Only 3 and 4 can be felt in the car. After it’s on for a few minutes it starts to smell in the car. Any ideas?
The car is noticeably old as it’s my first car and I’ve been driving since last September. What cost am I looking at for sorting this or getting it looked at?

Thanks.

Making my own pie. Thoughts?

I’m 18 and this if my first time making my own pie. Currently I have the daily dividends, Vanguard Global pies, as well as some shares in Amazon. Would you say this Pie is reasonable to give a shot or is it completely whack and shouldn’t even exist?

(The other two images are my current pies)

Any advice would be helpful.

UK

I drove past this camera at 54/55 mph (it is a 50mph) as I accelerated to move into the right hand lane to take the 4th exit on the upcoming roundabout. I think it flashed but I’m not sure if it was just the sunlight.

Is this a speed camera? If it is, does this particular camera flash?
