RCMP are investigating after about 5,000 litres of diesel and premium fuel were stolen from a gas station east of Sherwood Park earlier this month.

Police say the theft happened overnight on May 1 at the Country Boyz Tempo Gas station near Uncas, east of Edmonton. Investigators say suspects ripped open vents and hoses to drain fuel from the tanks.

RCMP also discovered a large fuel spill near a nearby treeline, raising concerns about possible environmental damage in the area.

On May 11th around the dinner hour, Crowsnest Pass RCMP received a call for service on a theft of bbq goods. Crowsnest Pass RCMP Officers attended the area to search for a suspect described as red hair, short in stature & wearing a thick coat.

Upon searching the area, the suspect was located trying to conceal the evidence.
Victims have decided not to lay charges so the perpetrator was free to go.
