My idea to the psychology behind why some choose to bully even when raised by kind people

Its pretty much a well known fact that some people choose to bully and this can come even with no abuse at home. I think this can be example of just straight up sadism. Sadism is the enjoyment of others pain and suffering and its on a spectrum with and we even have a type of sadism called everyday sadism. We don't know what causes sadism although it could be a combination of genetics and and life experiences. Even if parents are moral people and try to teach their kid in the best direction those with moderate to severe sadism might still choose to act cruel simply because their brains see cruelness as rewarding. This could also be Antisocial Personality Disorder were these people's empathy center is naturally turned off leading to a brain that's only stimulated by reward. Even if someone was raised right you still can't change these people because their brain wasn't designed for empathy only reward and once these people's brains find being an asshole rewarding its pretty much hard to stop that association with reward. For these people being an asshole isn't seen as wrong, its seen as just a reward. what are y'all thoughts on this take.

What If the Island of Sodor was a real place

We all know the Island of Sodor doesn't exist even though it dose feel like a real place especially in the earlier seasons of Thomas the Tank Engine but what if the Island of Sodor did exist. How would if affect the railways of Britain and steam preservation in general

Check out this old footage I found from Getty Images

Apparently this was made by HBO but I don't know when HBO was founded so I can't be sure and apparently it was mad in 1965 and uploaded in 2015 to Getty images. Based on the way the narrator sounds this was probably an American or Canadian who went to the scrapyard in the U.K to film this.

What if Chrysler didn't decide to scrap the turbine cars?

We all know what happened to Chrysler's Turbine Cars. the footage of the scrapping was one of the most heartbreaking things I''ve ever seen. I can't even go through the whole video without just clicking off to something happier. But what if, Chrysler decided not to scrap the turbine cars and instead paid for the turbine cars to stay in the U.S. so that they wouldn't have to either be crushed or sent back to Italy?

A comparison betwenn Christian Nationalism and Islamic Extremist

Christian Nationalism and Islamic Extremism are two very dangerous ideologies that call for nothing more than to have as much Earthly power as possible because as humans, when we think of having a kingdom and power we tend to think of an Earthly Kingdom were we can immediately get power to fuel our egos rather than a heavenly kingdom. Here is a comparison between the two.

Similarities:

Both Christian Nationalist and Islamic Extremist believe it is their duty to create an Earthly Kingdom where their values are imposed onto everyone which dose not lead to a happy populus.

Both Christian Nationalist and Islamic Extremist think they're better than everyone else because they're narcissist who have inflated senses of self worth and egos often trying to mask their feelings of inadaquacy called insecurities.

Both want nothing more than power often times because they think having power can heal their pain but their false belief actual can cause harm to others.

Differences:

Christian Nationalism pushed the idea of forcing Christianity onto everyone through power because of a power hunger driven by deep seated insecurity and also Christian Nationalism is mostly a far right movement.

Islamic Extremism pushes the Idea that Muslims should fight the non believers in order to achive the goal of making Islam global. Many parts of the Quran depict prophet Muhammad telling followers to kill those who resist Islam and those who refuse to pay tax to continue their faith if they refuse Islam and prophet Muhammad did conquer many people and Although he did allow protections for Jews and Christians, that was only if they paid the tax to continue their faith.

Many Islamic Extremist also lack education and pain driven by a lack of education can make for a deadly poison that can lead to severe consequences for both the extremist and the people they hurt.

This is my Comparison between Islamic Extremism and Christian Nationalism. what are y'all thoughts on it.

Some ideas for an AU OC class 08 shunters

I already have some OC ideas for my AU based on the Railway Series for a pair of twin class 08 shunters which I don't have names for so I call them D4199 and D5000 with D4199 being the neutral one and wasn't really welcomed by James when he came to Sodor while D5000 is cruel to steam engines and couldn't wait to see their demise before ending up scrapped by BR in 1988. What are some of your ideas for a class 08 diesel shunter OC for any of your AUs.

How Percy got Stepney to Sodor by me

In my Railway Series based AU, this is how the Fat Controller got the idea to allow Stepney to visit Sodor.

When Percy found out that one of his buddies was sent for scrap, He became so sad he couldn’t do his work causing Thomas to have to do all of Percy’s work as well as his own. This is why Thomas is cross in the picture.

Thomas: Percy isn’t sad He’s just lazy

and Toby snapped “Don’t be so insensitive Thomas”

Soon the Fat Controller arrived and shouted “SILENCE!”. Then he went to Percy and Percy told him he was sad because an engine that looked kinda like Douglas told him his Friend was sent for scrap. The Fat Controller said “If I bring in one of those Bluebells will that cheer you up” and Percy said “Oh, Yes, Sir” And that’s how Stepney came to Sodor.

What If we preserved at least one member of every class of steam locomotive in the world

We all know that in the mid 20th century around the 1950s and the 1960s steam locomotives were withdrawn in favor of diesel locomotives causing many classes to go extinct such as the Pennsylvania Railroad duplexes, New York Central Hudsons, and in Britain various tank engine classes such as the E2s and a weird locomotive built by the Southern Railway called the Leader Class and we also know that many classes of steam loco also went extinct before dieselization but what if we decided to preserve at least one member of every steam locomotive class in the world. I could see us getting more locomotives to haul excursions and more locomotives ending up in museums

What old cars do y'all think would look cool with modern design

Me personally I think a Fleetwood or Deville would look cool with a modern design. I imagine a modern Fleetwood would look like a Bentley or Rolls Royce and the tailfins could look sick and it will just be an overall sick car.

As Railway Enthusiast, what are y'all thoughts on cars or the automobile

We all know trains are cool as fuck and everyone here loves them to death but what exactly do y'all think about cars. I know I'm car enthusiast and I like cars especially old cars but what about you. do y'all like cars and think there cool or do y'all just don't care about them and view them as just a tool that you use when you absolutely have to use them.

Why do some people love steam locomotives but hate diesels?

I know that most people in this community actually like all Iron Horses or Aluminum Horses or whatever but why do some people just hate on diesels while they almost sorta worship steam locomotives? Is it just preference. I know some car enthusiast absolutely love classic cars and sorta worship old cars while trashing and hating on new cars because in their eyes new cars are soulless and aren't as "reliable" in their eyes as old cars and while I do agree on some of their points I don't think someone should just blindly worship something because its old.

What If Amtrak Never Formed?

we all know that Amtrak formed in the 1970s to fill in the void left behind by the dying passenger railroads of America. But what will happen if Amtrak was never created? what would have happened then? Would some private company eventually create a passenger rail company or would we just be forced to use the Interstates?

what is your biggest pet peeve about non Thomas fans

My biggest pet peeve is when they claim Henry was left to die in a tunnel after the fat controller bricked him up in a tunnel even though we know that not only is this false but THE FRICKIN U.S DUB made the implication that Henry wasn't staying in the tunnel forever and was gonna be bricked up eventually

Another pet peeve of mines is when people say The Fat Controller scraps engines when thats far from the case in fact, the Fat Controller has saved engines from the scrapyard

Which Extinct class of British locomotive would look cool preserved and running today

Me personally I think an E2 would look cool if it were preserved today because an E2 is the basis of Thomas the Tank Engine and I just personally want to see one in operation. what other British extinct class would you think look cool today if they were preserved and running.
