Okay I get the hype now

So this was the only SF game i had never played before. Growing up I played a fuck ton of SF2 and even others like alpha 3, ex games, x-men vs street fighter and even that atrocious street fighter the movie the game, but never did I come across SF3 and thought alpha 3 was the third one.

Then years go by and I discover this game and how it is essentially worshipped by the FGC and I never understood that. I saw the gameplay and it looked good sure but is it really that good? I didn’t buy it at first.

That was until just a couple weeks ago where I had an itch to play some old school fighting games that I grew up playing like KoF 97, Alpha 3, Tekken tag and soul blade and so I thought let’s give 3rd strike a try and see what all the fuss is about. It’s been 2 weeks and I haven’t even touched those other games lmao.

What kind of technical wizards were working at capcom when this was made? This game feels so damn smooth to play. That is truly the best way to describe. It feels so good to control your character in this game. You gotta play it for yourself to believe it cause watching a video isnt gonna make you understand why it feels so good.

Alongside that the music is excellent, the graphics and animation are top tier, most of the new characters are excellent and the parry system is awesome although I suck at it.

I do have some complaints though mainly the ai which I felt was a little cheap at times and some of the new characters in this game i wasnt a fan of.

Besides that though I finally get it. I am a believer now as well.

i did a freaking combo for the first time!!!

Even though this probably isnt a great combo or the most optimal one, i am just so happy i did it cause ive never even come close to landing one in any fighting game ive ever played against people online. It just seemed impossible for me, so it felt so satisfying to do it.

Whats a food/drink habit of yours that causes people to raise their eyebrows over?

So everyone drinks tea here as you know, but basically everyone I’ve ever met drinks tea with sugar or at least a sugar substitute in it. I however drink tea without anything added whatsoever and everytime I ask for no sugar in my tea people look at me in shock and horror lmao.

I stopped putting it in almost 10 years ago and i actually prefer the taste of tea without it. I love the aroma, the flavour of the spices and sugar overpowers that for me.

For me it is "The woods". I love a game that is set in a foresty area. Something about it gives me this warmth comforting feeling and it is beautiful to explore these lush areas.

I also love it in movies and shows like twin peaks, gravity falls and yellowjackets.
