Has anyone been to Faroe Islands?

Has anyone been to Faroe Islands?

Same as title.

It’s the most beautiful place i have ever seen in pictures. It looks unreal. It looks straight from the fantasy novel.

Where to buy modest clothing?

Hello,

I have been really struggling to shop in past years.
Every brand is selling low cut, backless or see through tops/dresses.

Also, after wearing it for 2-3 times the quality drops significantly.

H&m is selling garbage
Zara doesn’t justify the cost and same issue - all tops are low cut or backless.

Forever new quality has also dropped. A see through polyester dress for 10k!!!

I have looked into westside but didn’t like the designs.

Please suggest me good brands

A son of brigadier died after his car falls into a drain.

Such a young, handsome and intelligent man. He was studying in US and came to India for a break.
Why this keeps on happening?
Every now and then i am hearing the same news.

Chances of getting my Schengen visa approved being a housewife. Travelling with travel group.

Hello, I am from India. I do not have any travel history as of now. I am married. Worked for few years but never filed ITR. Not working from past 9 months. My husband has a reputable government job with good income and enough bank balance. He wants to sponsor my trip. However, he won’t be able to accompany me.

Initially, i was thinking to go to Faroe Islands. However, after my research i found out that it’s really hard to secure the Denmark visa from India. Being a first time traveller, i think my visa might get rejected. Hence, i cancelled that.

Now, i am really looking forward to either Norway or Iceland.

What documents will i need ?
What are the chances of getting my visa approved ?
What questions my profile might raise?
Has anyone done the same and they get the approval?

Please share

I feel like my career is done!

Hello Everyone,

I am writing this with tears in my eyes.
I am 29 years old, married.

I could not secure good marks in class 12 because i was dealing with depression. I secured 75% in science while touching my books for merely a week ago from my exams.

My parents were disappointed. Despite low marks my parents wanted me to prepare for NEET, i could not say NO. Honestly, at that point of my career i had no idea what i wanted. I had no desires. I was still going through depression. Also, my parents never gave me a mobile and without that i had limited access to internet. I had no friends as well. This made me unaware of all the possibilities and opportunities. I took drop for 3 years. Again i couldn’t say no.

I couldn’t clear neet, but i gave du entrance test and secured AIR 4 ( its not that competitive though). I thought even though i couldn’t clear neet, i will compensate the lost years with good college and exposure in a big city.

However, my parents didnt let me go as a punishment of not being able to crack neet. They forced me to take admission in local college in my small town and do bba.

I spent 3 years dreaming to leave the city. Covid came when i graduated. Placements did not happen. But i applied online and got the job. Finally moved to a big city.

I worked there for 2.5 years while doing my distance masters in economics and applying for colleges in us for a second masters.

I got the offer letter from a good college for ms in business analytics in boston. I resigned. However, my visa got rejected. All my dreams shattered.

Then, i got into a bigger company but got ill in probation period. They put me on pip after i came from sick leaves of a week despite knowing i was a top performer. I had to resign. It was traumatic experience.

Now, i become selective in my job application. I applied to the European mnc known for wlb. I got into that. However, they made the whole team work for 15 hours ( no kidding ) eventually whole team resigned including myself as soon as i completed one year. Even my manager resigned.

After that i got busy in my wedding prep. I am married now. I do not have to think about basic living costs but i cant imagine being financially dependent on my partner throughout my life.

However, my partner has job where he would be relocating in every 3-4 years.

I am scared and traumatised of my past failures.
Now, i am hopeless.

I learned sql, excel but i don’t think i can make it to analytics roles without any connections. ( i have none ) i had one but he stopped responding when i told him i am getting married.

I genuinely want to work hard, i want to earn my own money but it seems impossible to me.

I cant stop thinking about my dream of going abroad for my masters but it has become so expensive and with the traumatic corporate experience i have lost the faith in corporate hustle.

My parents tell me to prepare for government exams but i dont get the motivation seeing how corrupt the system has become and also that job will tie me to India forever. I don’t want to live in india tbh.

What shall i do? Where shall i start? How can i overcome my fear? Is there any hope for me?

Mohalla clinics being closed

Hello,

I come from upper middle class background. However, I used to go to mohalla clinic which was just at walking distance from my home in south Delhi. However, when i went there it was closed. I was informed by someone it has been closed permanently.

Damn!

It was v useful not just for me but for the whole community be it rich or poor. If i had any mild fever or pain, i would go there and get medicines. Even the blood test and checkups were free.

BJP IS THE PLAUGE THAT NEEDS TO BE REMOVED BEFORE IT LEAVES OUR COUNTRY BEYOND REPAIRABLE.

I CANNOT BELIEVE DELHITES REALLY VOTED FOR THIS BJP AND VOTED OUT KEJU. Keju kaisa bhi tha but ensab se behtar tha.

How to survive delhi summer?

I live in terrace apartment which has big glass windows in opposite side of walls.(east and west)This makes my house prone to facing the heat from all directions.

I keep the AC on all the time. However, leaving my room to enter kitchen or washroom makes me realise how hot it really is. My head starts to spin and dizzy. I keep myself hydrated with juices, coconut water and even ors solution.

Because of the ease of blinkit/zepto/zomato I don’t even need to go out.

However, my heart screams for the gig workers or anyone who is out there working in this weather. I offer them cold water or any refreshment if anyone comes to my home be it my house help or plumber or delivery person.

I was wondering how people who are out there holding up in this weather.
People who go to office - commuting must be so difficult.
Delivery guys, cab drivers, gig workers- A BIG SALUTE 🫡 You guys are doing so much just to provide for your family or yourself.

I want to know what government is doing in such situation. Delhi temperature will only go up in coming years. Delhi will become impossible to live.
Summers heat will kill you, winters AQI will kill you.

I am seeing construction happening in all over the city, however there is no regard for greenery. No regards for trees, no regards for aesthetics. I feel like cities are being made just for the rich so that they can continue exploiting the poor or middle class. They gonna travel in their ac cars, ac home, they will go for vacations abroad just to skip the weather. Imagine the privilege!

Why no one is speaking anything about it?

Corporate should give wfh for few months but they have no regards of their employees.
There should be something.
I am posting this just to know what you guys are thinking and how we can actually do something about it.
