I live in terrace apartment which has big glass windows in opposite side of walls.(east and west)This makes my house prone to facing the heat from all directions.

I keep the AC on all the time. However, leaving my room to enter kitchen or washroom makes me realise how hot it really is. My head starts to spin and dizzy. I keep myself hydrated with juices,coconut water and even ors solution.

Because of the ease of blinkit/zepto/zomato I don’t even need to go out.

However, my heart screams for the gig workers or anyone who is out there working in this weather. I offer them cold water or any refreshment if anyone comes to my home be it my house help or plumber or delivery person.

I was wondering how people who are out there holding up in this weather.
People who go to office - commuting must be so difficult.
Delivery guys, cab drivers, gig workers- A BIG SALUTE 🫡 You guys are doing so much just to provide for your family or yourself.

I want to know what government is doing in such situation. Delhi temperature will only go up in coming years. Delhi will become impossible to live.
Summers heat will kill you, winters AQI will kill you.

I am seeing construction happening in all over the city, however there is no regard for greenery. No regards for trees, no regards for aesthetics. I feel like cities are being made just for the rich so that they can continue exploiting the poor or middle class. They gonna travel in their ac cars, ac home, they will go for vacations abroad just to skip the weather. Imagine the privilege!

Why no one is speaking anything about it?

Corporate should give wfh for few months but they have no regards of their employees.
There should be something.
I am posting this just to know what you guys are thinking and how we can actually do something about it.

Delhi’s tap water quality is so bad. I have experienced hair-fall due to it. The water has heavy chemicals and mud. This happens while i live in a posh society of Delhi.

It has also caused sensitivity in my teeth.

Has anyone experienced the same?

I’m in a confusing situation with Furlenco and wanted advice from anyone who has dealt with something similar.
I had taken furniture on rent in 2021. In 2022, when I vacated the rented apartment, I contacted customer care on call and informed them about cancellation/pickup. The furniture remained at the premises with the landlord for pickup coordination after I moved out.
After that, the subscription/order stopped appearing in my account completely. Recently, I logged in again and:
there are no invoices visible
customer care says ( via their app chat) there is “no active rental order associated with my profile”
But the furniture apparently was never collected.
Now I’m worried they may suddenly claim years of dues or penalties later even though:
I had already informed them in 2022 via call but no email.
the order disappeared from my account
their own support says there’s no active rental order
I do not want any legal issue later and I’m trying to get written confirmation + pickup arranged.

How was the service?

Hi everyone, I’m trying to understand something about my partner and would really appreciate honest opinions. I recently got married to my long term bf with whom i was in LDR. During our relationship he showed signs of OCD such as being obsessive about privacy, keeping the window always closed, he wont even let me hug him if the curtain is open. I found it weird and told him to see a doctor. He was diagnosed with OCD, however he didn’t follow up.

Now we are married and i am going to live with him for the first time.

My husband is extremely private about anything related to his identity and visibility. Some examples:

In a room, he doesn’t even leave a tiny gap, he keeps everything fully covered so no one can see inside

Curtains and windows are always shut

He doesn’t use social media with his real name, doesn’t like or engage with anything

He didn’t want me to post even our wedding photos (after a lot of convincing, he agreed to just one)

He doesn’t show any skin on his body, never wear shorts and he is not even comfortable in going shirtless in front of me.

He also doesn’t want me to wear clothes that show skin. He tells me that if i wear something revealing then he feels anxious about my safety or other people gaze.

In public, he avoids sharing his real name/profession (he’s in defence)

He also avoid holding hands in public.

Sometimes avoids online payments to not share bank details

Recently he told me that when things like curtains are open, he gets intrusive thoughts like something bad might happen, and he feels a strong urge to close everything. He says he knows it might be excessive but still can’t relax until it’s done.

I’ve suggested therapy to him, but he hasn’t gone again.

I’m worried this might start affecting our married life more and more, especially because it’s also impacting what I wear, what I post, and how I live.

what can I realistically do as a partner if he’s not open to therapy?

Would really appreciate advice from people who’ve seen or experienced something similar.

From past 2-3 years, i have seen a rise in army/naval/airforce wives making similar content in social media. It is all the same. My fauji ghar before and after, same type of decor, showcasing their husbands uniform, putting bio like- fauji/army wife etc.

I don’t have an issue with wannabe influencers but them showcasing and flaunting the defence lifestyle doesn’t sit right with me as defence organisation should be kept private since it is related to our safety. Them revealing the locations, the homes, the uniforms can lead to a safety breach.

Isn’t defence have any rules for the social media now? I was informed earlier that the social media is banned for them, however is it okay if their wives use it and post their uniforms/locations?

One of them (the officer wife ) is posting the content so cringe that i needed to sanitise my eyes after watching it.

Guys, what do you do to afford international travel?

I am 28,f, non tech, 4 years into corporate, my whole salary goes into paying essential bills.

My biggest dream has always been to see the world. But my salary makes it impossible.

Please please guide me as your little sister.
