My rank of assassin's Creed franchise
I've loved this franchise since I was 7.
Since then, I have played the vast majority of the games(with the exception of Shadows and spin offs: 2D, DS, PSP etc).
Now, with the release of Black flag remake, I want to ranking all games, and discuss opinions about Them
(And Sorry for The english, English is not my Native language):
(14)AC liberation: I now it is a small spin off, but are together with 3, so I play and put in the list. I don't have any compliments for this, Aveline is meh, the map is weak, forgettable story etc.
(13)AC Rogue: Have potential, but the missions are boring, weak story, don't discuss the philosophy of the assassin's and templars, etc. the only thing that I like are: Shay and the connections with 4, 3 and unity.
(12)AC Sindicate: a game without soul. Syndicate came after the disaster of unity, but, it managed to be less memorable than the previous one.
The worst story In series (with liberation), THE WORST VILLAN THIS FRANCHISE HAVE EVER SEE, the protagonists are meh: Jacob is a little funny, Evie is likeable, but nothing more. The gameplay is a downgrade of unity, and all the game don't have something unique, all is repeat of the previous game.
(11)AC Valhalla: this game is 50/50: expand the lore of isus very good, Basin is one of the best villains in the series, the combat is one of my favorites (only above Odyssey and 3), basin plot and the modern times are the best since 3. BUT, even with some good things, the rest of the game-about 90%- is terrible, in every way possible, a big empty map, ALL The caracters ARE TERRIBLE( except to Basin, Odin and Alfred), horrible Side content etc.
A EXTREMY downgrade of Odyssey and Origins.
(10)AC1: A Little old, but much good. The most serious and unique AC, great protagonist( many better with The book), great world, The Second best villan in The franchise etc. The Beginning of the saga, Even with certain problems, it's still amazing.
(9)AC Unity: The big release that brought The franchise tô The 8ª generetion(and is The first game i play). Without The bugs, The game has The best stealth in the series, One of the most beautiful maps in The saga, and good ideas for the lore: Sword of Eden, a Wise final boss, the templar Codes and more.
But, Instead of developing it's good ideas, The turns into a porly made Romeo and Juliet story, with a downgraded Ezio and a villain who is completely bland, Along with a beautiful não but poor Side content. it's definitely not a Bad game, but the ones above it are better. And the DLC is peak.
(8)AC mirage: The Second best stealth in the saga, and a Return to the roots of the franchise. Mirage and unity are similar, but because of mirage's smaller size, together with better use of the plot, a beautiful map and amazing level design, it ranks higher.
(7)AC Origins: From here on, it's only great games. The birthday of the Creed and the necessary changing In the franchise. Origins is a incredible addition to the saga, my second favorite protagonist( Bayek and Aya are peak), great map(side content is 50/50), good characters, GREAT, AMAZING VILLAINS: JÚLIO CEZAR AND CLEOPATRA AND INCREDIBLE, and the return of modern days with Layla. This game is amazing, only here for the relative empty map and the Average combat.
(6)AC revelations: The conclusion of the two greatest assassin's of the history, and the best parkour in the franchise. Revelations is a great game in the majority of aspects, great story, good level design and map, the new hidden blade give us the best parkour possible, I love it. Only critic is that the game is relative small, And have the worst secret armour of the trilogy.
(5)AC2: I don't have much to say, everyone knows how great the beginning of the Ezio Auditore history is. Perfect story, perfect protagonist, great characters, Extremely fun main missions, The main theme of franchise and more. The only thing I don't like today is that it practically has no side content, apart from the secret armor. Other than that, it's perfection.
(4)AC Odyssey: A surprise: Odyssey is The most diferent AC, completely focused on The Isu, and set before The existence of The order. But, i love It, The story IS Fun, o like Kassandra, The combat and world is amazing, snd have THE BEST SIDE CONTENT AND DLC OF SAGA. O understand The hate towards It, but as a game, it's One of the best in The saga.
(3)AC Black flag: Black flag is still perfect today: a perfect protagonist, my favorite supporting cast in The saga, great villains, a incredible world, The best pirata game ver made(cry Majima). My only criticisms i have are The limited land areas and the story isn't as much AC like the other, similar to Valhala. Other than that, Timeless.
(2)AC brotherhood: The opposite of 2, improved everything, but the story got worse. Cezar is mid and the story don't have the weight of 2. Other wise, perfect: I love Rome, BEST SIDE CONTENT IN THE FRANCHISE, BEST SIDE MISSIONS, The supporting cast is amazing, new mechanics and more. The goat of the franchise
(1)AC3: The side content like brotherhood, the best combat in the franchise, the best villain and best memory corridors of franchise, an incredible and unique protagonist, A realistic and critical view of the United States and the indigenous people. This is assassin's Creed 3, the most underrated AC ever. The whole story, the debates between templars And assassins, George Washington being a scumbag, everything is amazing. Added to that, the best modern day in saga, and the conclusion of Desmond's saga.
This game not only deserves the top spot, but also respect- play assassin's Creed III.
