In this AU, the giant red pandas aren’t an alternate form, but sentient, ancient creatures, each one made to protect the female Lee family members, but considered inconvenient in 2002. Mei’s panda’s name is Pao, and she inherits him the morning she’d have first transformed.

Pao basically serves as the fluffy incarnate of Mei’s “inner beast” with a big appetite and a humorous personality, which make him the breakout character of the film (the character that receives top billing in marketing despite not being the protagonist). For his VA, I’d pick Keegan-Michael Key.

Additionally, since the red pandas are characters themselves, the female Lees’ hair colours are permanently black, and, as you can see in the second poster, Mei has blue as her main colour of clothing since Pao serves as the “red-wearing” member of her friend group (Miriam wears green, Abby wears purple and Priya wears yellow).

Unlike past films, it’s a rather original story, and I’m sure Bill Hader will be a way better Cat than Mike Myers.

I’m almost certain it’s not, but I somehow hope it is.

Y’know, GameMill Entertainment’s done kart racing games in the themes of Nickelodeon and DreamWorks, which play very similarly, and since they also did a Nick-themed Smash clone, I felt DreamWorks would have the same treatment someday.

NOTE: I know, some of the guys you most want are missing, but given how the roster for DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing was carried out, I think this how it would be done realistically.

As you can see, Bridget will have her queen agenda in this game. There’s no way I’m driving with Lady Glittersparkles again.

I know, Gingy is about the size of a troll, but if they size him up to like, I dunno, a similar height to Ted and Tina, he might work.

I’m not sure whether we should have Brightbill or Fink as the second Wild Robot rep.

I don’t know if we should have all four penguins in one kart, or just Skipper.

What you see here is my roster concept for this hypothetical game, but just so you know, this is how I assume the roster would be realistically.

Alex, Marty, Gloria, Melman and their buddies are enjoying their new life as part of Circus Zaragoza, and this time around, they’re bringing their acts to Beijing, China. However, the gang wind up discovering an illegal underground restaurant, owned by the devious Chef Wang, who has animals from around the world smuggled in, and turns them into meals for humans. Alongside some new furry friends, the gang cross paths with Xiaoling (or Ling for short), Wang’s 14-year-old niece who was taken away from her family to work for him. She despises his ways, and their encounter leads to her gaining the ability to talk to animals from an accidental blow to the head. Together with their first human friend, Alex and company must stand up to Chef Wang and put him out of the job, not only so that they can save themselves and their new pals, but so that Ling can finally come home.

The animal newcomers include:
- Feng, a cunning chinese water dragon lizard who rebels against Chef Wang and wants to make him pay.
- Zhou, a kind mandarin rat snake who is often mistaken for venomous and calms her friends when they panic.
- Won and Ton, a pair of red pandas who are energetic, bratty and impulsive.
- Hom-Lee, Chef Wang’s pet cinerous vulture and henchman who sees cooked animals as a great change from hunting raw food.
