The lucky egg i only obtainable from Chansey as a rare held item.

Chansey has a solid 4% spawn rate and spawns at level 26. You can manipulate spawns by using a max repel(or any repel, really) to limit other spawns, but the only Pokemon your removing from the pool are one level 23 Paras and one level 25 Exeggcute, so the effect of the repel is minimal.

Now you get a Chansey and you have to catch the stupid thing. From what I can tell, it's a 45% flee rate. I know some creators swear that there's a special combo of bait/balls to increase your catch chance, but it's truly 50/50, either you catch it or you don't. I'm a proud member of the chuck balls, ask questions later club. Chansey's catch weight is 30, so 30/255, you get about a ~5% catch rate.

Now you've caught your Chansey. You've made it through the 4% spawn rate, you survived the 45% flee rate, lucked into the 5% catch rate and now you get to check for the lucky egg. So to celebrate RNG to the fullest, you just made it through a 4% encounter rate, a ~5% catch rate, and now you get to work on another 5% chance for your Chansey to be holding a lucky egg.

I have 2 full boxes of Chansey. I am losing my mind. I just want a lucky egg in one of these games. This Chansey won't even go green for me, at least I got a couple shiny ones out of my Let's Go adventures.

Just started a shiny badge quest playthrough of Violet yesterday and I can't stop using set up moves in battles that 100% do not need set up moves. Have my level 38 corvisquire hitting a Hone Claws to boost Power Trip on a 1-star hoot hoot raid. I'm 5-6 levels over my opponent, better hit a Harden just to make sure their Starly can't one shot me

Boy I sure do miss having quad tabs full of corpses on the off chance I need it for my full cemetery craft I bricked because I had the wrong corpses next to each other

Here's my BV elementalist, minion pact is hard carrying, but I'm definitely missing a few upgrades.

I have about 50d left after trying to figure out(and failing) cluster jewel crafting, is there anything that I can do that would make this build even better? At 34/40 and would like to 40/40 before the 20th.

For the last couple of days I've been hard grinding the grand underground and was convinced it'd take some miracle RNG to hit 40/40 because I always play alone, didn't have anyone for link play, and wasn't looking to do a group online. That's not what this is at all.

What other dumb things might a "returning" (played more hours of RBY and GS than any other games in my life, got a switch and S/V last year and have been playing the games in reverse release order) player not know/understand? I'm at the point I've just unlocked the national Dex and have barely done any post game
