Just started a shiny badge quest playthrough of Violet yesterday and I can't stop using set up moves in battles that 100% do not need set up moves. Have my level 38 corvisquire hitting a Hone Claws to boost Power Trip on a 1-star hoot hoot raid. I'm 5-6 levels over my opponent, better hit a Harden just to make sure their Starly can't one shot me

I have about 50d left after trying to figure out(and failing) cluster jewel crafting, is there anything that I can do that would make this build even better? At 34/40 and would like to 40/40 before the 20th.
For the last couple of days I've been hard grinding the grand underground and was convinced it'd take some miracle RNG to hit 40/40 because I always play alone, didn't have anyone for link play, and wasn't looking to do a group online. That's not what this is at all.
What other dumb things might a "returning" (played more hours of RBY and GS than any other games in my life, got a switch and S/V last year and have been playing the games in reverse release order) player not know/understand? I'm at the point I've just unlocked the national Dex and have barely done any post game
