I don't know if I should leave my job

I'm a 20F and I work at a chain car wash and I hate it. I live in a very small town where it's hard to get any job that pays more than $9 and isn't hard physical labor, so I applied to work at this car wash around March and started working there in April. Since I've been working I have just grown to hate it more and more.

The heat is absolutely unbearable, the loading area is not properly ventilated so I'm just breathing in straight soap and chemicals half the time, the customers are unbelievable, we've seen people drinking and driving, get into accidents, all of it, someone gets mad at us every single day, the equipment is always broken, and my coworkers are pretty dumb. I work about 30 hours a week and I make $11.25 an hour and it is just not worth this shit that I have to put up with. I'm one of like 2 people there that can calm down an angry customer, and my manager can't talk to customers worth shit. Every time I have had to talk to a frustrated customer, the conversation has always ended at least WAY better than it started. But every time my manager talks to someone, they end up speeding off or calling corporate. My manager will also schedule only me and her for opening but like 80% of the time, she'll just disappear to do "manager stuff" and I'm left doing everything by myself. I have to work the gate, the prep station, and the loading station, and sometimes keep track of all of our towels and cleaning spray bottles. Also, all of my coworkers complain about everything constantly and half of them don't do their jobs. What irks me the most, is the people that should be getting in major trouble get NO repercussions. There's a guy that keeps showing up HELLA late, and he will just disappear mid shift to god knows where, and he got no repercussions from it except the assistant manager just scheduled him for 1 day that week to be petty. Majority of that kind of stuff is the manager's fault because she just wont fire people that need to be fired and wont hire people that would be reliable and do their job. I also work with mainly stupid boys and I can't have a meaningful conversation with any of them.

Something else that I am going crazy about is the fact that I am ALWAYS dirty. I dont mind getting a little sweaty, or getting a little dirt on my hands, but holy shit. Since I work around 7-8 hours every day, I wake up, go to work, get sweaty, get covered in water and chemicals, get covered in oil and grime and dead bugs and dirty bucket water. By the time I get home and in the shower, my sports bra is soaking wet and my socks are waterlogged. No matter how much I wash my hair, my scalp still feels itchy and it NEVER feels clean.

Also, my hands and skin are the worst they've ever been. My hands are dry and calloused and my face is breaking out constantly. It sucks because I worked so hard to get rid of my acne and I was even on accutane for it and that was ROUGH but hey it worked. My skin on my arms and legs even feels horrible. Blankets and fabrics feel like theyre burning through my skin when they touch me and it genuinely HURTS. I also have had so much joint and muscle pain since working there. I enjoy working out, but since it's a lot of repetitive movements for 8 hours, it has seriously taken a toll on me. My neck and shoulders and back and hips are in constant pain.

The heat has been genuinely so unbearable that when I got my period at work, I had to sit down (which is against company policy) because I almost passed out and my cramps were hurting THAT BAD.

Don't get me wrong, Im grateful that I even have a job especially in an area like mine, but it is so unbearable. I've been thinking about letting the weather cool off and if I still absolutely hate it then Im going to find other places to apply to that pay more.

The only reason Im working this job is to get money and to save up to move out and into an apartment a few cities away in about a year. Another reason that I'm scared to find another job is if they wouldn't be as flexible as the one I have now. My managers pretty much let me choose what I want to work, but they'll ask me to come in on my days off anyway. They also expect the employees to cover shifts of people to just straight up disappear and get no repercussions. I work about 30-35 hours a week, which is pretty good, but damn, I am so tired of feeling so fucking disgusting all the time.

Also, to top things off, I and another one of my coworkers have developed a bad cough because of the chemicals that are not properly ventilated. I know that it's from the chemicals and soap because I found a warning sheet in the office that was give to my manager by the chemical guys that come.

Basically, when a car is sent through the wash, there's this waterfall of soap that comes down, and when it comes down, it disperses and blows toward the person who's operating everything. That, along with the heat that gets trapped in there, I sometimes genuinely cant breathe. I am also coughing ALL THE TIME, and I wake up coughing stuff up from my lungs.

Thanks for listening to my rant and I guess I would appreciate ANY 2 cents for my situation.

Itchy tooth

No clue how to exactly explain this, but it feels like theres something stuck in my back molar and its almost like an itchy feeling? I looked at it and theres no cavity spots or anything at least that I can see, but its been sensitive for a while. I clenched my jaw and pressed my teeth together earlier and that's when I felt what feels like theres something in my tooth.

Weird periods

Im a 20y/o female and my periods have gotten really intense in the past year or so and I have no idea why. Last April, (April 2025) was when my periods got really messed up. I had missed some and had like 3 one month and then passed what I think was a dicidual cast. They were pretty messed up for about 5 months until they got back on track. After they got back on track, the first day has usually been absolutely miserable. Ive got cramps down to my toes and im overheating like crazy. Sometimes I can take a few Tylenol or ibuprofen to help, but it still doesnt go away, but recently it hasnt helped. Before last year ive never really had bad periods. Now, its really just the first day thats bad and then the rest of it is only about 3 days and theyre honestly a breeze. Why is it just the first day thats like hell on earth?

I would like to mention that me and my mom think that the reason they got messed up last april was because I was pretty underweight and was super stressed out. Since then, ive been able to gain weight and im a lot less stressed compared to that time.

Also, I do not and have never had sex with men. Felt like that was important to mention.

What are your thoughts on the movie Secretary (2002)?

I've seen a lot of mixed reviews and opinions on the movie Secretary with James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhaal and I was wondering what this subreddit would think of it. I watched the movie for the first time with my girlfriend a few months ago and we both loved it. It also made us feel more... comfortable and accepted? I guess? Of our kinks. We've both always been a little kinky, but after watching the movie, it sparked lots of interesting conversations between us about kinks and we've been exploring deeper ever since. What do you guys think of it?

Should I get a cold air intake?

I have a 2024 Camry SE and I was wondering if a cold air intake would be pointless or not on the 4cyl. I'm looking into getting a Vibrant bottle style resonator for a bit of a better sound. I know it's not gonna sound crazy since it's only a 4cyl but I'm not looking to have some loud pops or anything crazy. Would the intake be worth it when partnered with the resonator?

Was is fetlife and is it a good space?

I've been into BDSM for a while, with my fascination with it starting in middle school, continuing into and out of highschool, and now this past year or so, I've actually been able to experiment with my interests with my partner. I'm looking to research kinks and fetishes that I already have and ones that are new to me. I've heard a bit about fetlife but I'm not sure if it's a good website/app or not. I'm looking to do just more research and get familiar with my own kinks and others, but I'm not looking for a dom/sub or anything, and not porn either. That's part of the reason I joined this subreddit. Does anyone have recs for what I should look into?

For some context, I would consider myself both dom/sub but definitely more dom leaning, but I enjoy both roles. I don't know if I'm supposed to go into detail about what all I like but I will edit this post if I end up needing to.

Why do I always feel so sick and overheated in the mornings no matter if I eat breakfast or not?

Im a 20 y/o female, 5'10in, about 135lbs. Almost every morning is a gamble to whether or not I'm gonna feel sick and nauseous or not. I used to think I only felt sick when I didn't eat breakfast, but there have been many times (and right now) where I've eaten a pretty good breakfast and I still feel sick and overheated. I also avoid greasy foods in the morning as well. I've had this problem since I was a kid and I've had acid reflux since I was a baby, but its been much better the past year or so. I had to stop taking Accutane for many reasons, but severe acid reflux flare ups was one reason. I've tried taking some OTC reflux medicine before bed, but it didn't really help. I now am taking Wellbutrin for my depression but I haven't really had it affect my reflux or anything of that matter, not even my appetite. If anything, it's made my appetite better since I'm not too depressed to eat anymore. I've never had issues with food, like no EDs or anything, it's just always been hard for me to gain weight and then my depression makes me not hungry. I am just tired of feeling sick all the time and never getting the right answers. My doctors have all said to try OTC meds for acid reflux, to drink more water, to eat a light breakfast, or even a heavier one, and I've tried just about everything. I sometimes wake up and the smell of food could sometimes make me feel like gagging. I'm always good by lunchtime, though.

How should I design my trunk setup?

I have a 2024 Toyota Camry SE. Wondering what to do with my trunk setup. I wanna add some subtle lights and stuff but im not sure what to do. I don't have a fast or impressive car by any means so I want to focus more on the audio setup and the vibe. I like trunks with the fur fabric in them but Im not sure what would look good here. I have an all black car but Im struggling to decide what color I want for the trunk. I think red would match the tail lights, but the interior buttons have a blue glow to them, so Im not sure what to go for. The car came with some ambient lighting that I can control the color from my phone as well.

Was I followed in my dreams by the hat man?

This is gonna be a long one, so buckle up...

Ever since I was about 9 or 10 years old, I had the craziest nightmares. More nightmares than dreams. The first one I had, was me walking into my living room, but on my way there, these faceless men in long coats and hats flowed out of the bathroom and huddled around me and pushed me to the ground where I couldn't scream or hear anything.

A few years after that, when I was around 11 or 12, I started having dreams that were less forceful, but more haunting. By this time, I really started struggling with depression and I don't know if these dreams stemmed off of that bad energy or what.

The first dream was where me and a friend of mine were exploring this abandoned house in the woods. He goes inside the house first. Then, I look back and to my left, and there's a man in a long black coat and hat, just standing there staring at me at the end of this long dirt road.

I had the same dream again, but this time when I looked back, he was closer.

I finally had the dream one last time, but this time when I looked back, he wasn't there.

Now, when I was in 7th grade, I genuinely can't remember if this was a dream or if this was real, but I remember getting home from school, and this day I was home alone for a while. I sat on the edge of the couch, and started on homework. From the edge of the couch where I was sitting, you could look up and see straight down the house into the short hallway between mine and my brother's rooms. I remember looking up and seeing the same man from my dreams walk out of my room and into my brother's room.

About a year later, this was during covid, I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of my brother's closet door creaking open. We both slept with our doors open and our rooms were right across from each other, so I could see straight into his room pretty much. He was very little at the time, so he slept with his closet light on. So when the door creaked open, I saw the light from the closet spread across the floor. At first I thought it was my cat, but she was sound asleep in a chair in my room. I then heard just a few faint footsteps, then nothing. I was shook up a bit and texted my friends, but they were all asleep. I eventually drifted off back to sleep after leaving my lamp light on.

I would say about a month later, the biggest thing had happened.

Since this was during quarantine, I was at my computer basically all day, either doing school work, or playing games. As the day went on and night came, I started wondering about all of those nightmares I had and the strange experiences in that house. I decided to look up various things like "weird dreams with man in a hat" and stuff like that.

As I moved my mouse over to a link about people having dreams with a man in a hat in them, the power then SHUTS OFF. The link I clicked wasn't loading either. Then, I exit out the tab, and refresh the page, and the power cuts back on.

I walked into the kitchen where my mom was and asked her if she saw the power go out and she said no.

Weirded out, I went back to my room, and clicked on the link again. It worked this time and as I started reading, I found out that apparently loads of people have had dreams of the "hat man."

Also, at some point during that time, I remember having sleep paralysis, but I never opened my eyes.

Anyway, I haven't seen him ever since that night the power went out. In my dreams, in my sleep, real life, never.

I apologize for the lengthy post, but I felt like every detail was important.

Aliens, Ghosts, or is the veil between timelines weakening?

For context, I live right beside a very small, local airport in a very small town. I live in a townhouse complex that is smack between a baseball field and said airport. I was taking out the trash one night and I kept hearing old camera shutter sounds. Like older cameras when you would take a picture and it would made that "flick flick" sound. I would hear that, then the sound of a camera zooming in.

My mom has also heard people talking on a phone or radio in the baseball field but there werent any people.

My small town is very rural as well and our "town" is only about 4 miles long, and then "downtown" is only about a mile or 2 of small businesses. Then after that, the south side is what "town" used to be. My point being, it is a very small and quiet town. I don't want yall to think I live in a city and those are the sounds I'm hearing.

Is it a ghost? Aliens? Or are decades overlapping timelines?
