Abu Dhabi tech people where are you actually finding jobs?

I’m trying to break into the tech industry in Abu Dhabi and would genuinely like to hear from people who are already working here.

I have a Computer Science Engineering degree and professional experience in the UAE, but I’m looking to move into tech
particularly data/analytics or entry-level IT roles.
I’ve been applying online, but I’m curious about what actually works in Abu Dhabi.

For those who successfully landed a tech job here: how did you get your first opportunity?

LinkedIn? Referrals? Networking? Directly messaging hiring managers? Meetups? Something else?

Would appreciate any honest advice, especially from people who’ve made the transition themselves.

Working as an MEP Estimator in the UAE at Top construction company How Can I Move to Europe?

I’m currently working as an MEP Estimator at one of the top construction companies in the UAE. I’m looking to move to Europe and continue my career in construction/estimating.
Has anyone here made a similar move from the UAE to Europe? If so, how did you find the job, which countries were easier to move to, and what visa/sponsorship route did you use?

Any advice or personal experiences would be really appreciated.

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been hearing the same thing: “The job market is bad. Companies aren’t hiring.”

Now I’m 26, and people are still saying the exact same thing.

So I’m curious has the job market ever actually been good, or is this something every generation says?

For those who’ve been in Dubai/UAE for 10–20 years, have you seen periods where hiring was genuinely strong, or does it always feel like the market is “down”?

I don’t miss my parents why people are so exaggerating

I live in the UAE, and honestly, I don’t really miss my parents. But almost all of my friends are constantly calling their parents or saying, “I miss my parents so much.”
It makes me wonder are they genuinely feeling that way, or do some people just say it because it’s expected?

I’m at the Nike store in the mall, but it feels like they have a very limited selection compared to Amazon. Do you think it’s better to order from Amazon instead?

Is it just me, or are cashiers trying to overcharge more often these days?

I've noticed this happening multiple times, and it's getting frustrating. I ordered a medium juice, but the cashier tried to charge me for a large one. Another time at a salon, they added a transaction fee that wasn't mentioned beforehand. I asked for my money back.

This isn't the first time either. I've started double-checking every bill because I keep noticing small overcharges or extra fees. Has anyone else experienced this, or am I just unlucky?

I am always aware socially but sometimes i lost awareness and act like an idiot

I have ADHD, and I’m usually emotionally intelligent, but sometimes I suddenly act dumb or give off a bad attitude and everything feels worse. Is that an ADHD effect?
