Goku vs Majin Vegeta is lowkey one of the best fights in the series

Personally, I say this is THE best fight from the Majin Buu Saga and one of the major highlights in the whole franchise.

My current final theory on the story / plot of WnK:

Given everything we have seen from the promo material up to the most recent trailer, this is my final theory of what could happen in Walpurgisnacht Rising:

Some unspecified time after Rebellion (likely a month later to match with the original show and Rebellion), Madoka has settled in fast as the new transfer student. Devil Homura has somewhat tried to cozy up to her in the meantime to both keep her from re-ascending back as the Law of Cycles and potentially re-kindle their friendship from the previous universes. However, Devil Homura’s conflicted feelings from the end of Rebellion have started to become unstable and unravel her Labyrinth-verse. An example being Sayaka (and likely Nagisa / Bebe) being re-corrupted on the verge of becoming Witches. Speaking of Witches, Madoka’s split combined with Homura being unstable is what caused Nazukasokotsune to re-emerge and spawn a new stronger variant of Walpurgisnacht.

The two new magical girls were also pulled back from LoC after Devil Homura’s ascension. They seek to reawaken Madoka’s godhood and memories to reascend back to “paradise”. As for the new girl with Homura’s Wraith Arc bow, I believe Kyubey managed to give her a sliver of her leftover power in a new bid of vengeance from potentially (and forcibly) acquiring emotions after Rebellion. As for the other “Homura”, I now have to theories for her identity. One is that she is a Familiar / Clara Doll that the real one can somewhat puppeteer and act through. Another theory is that, just like how she did Madoka, her unstable power has now caused her to be split into two halves: the regular human self and the other with “Demonic” power.

I believe the two new girls will initially team up with the rest of the Holy Quintet before betraying them by kidnapping Madoka. They reveal that they only care about their own “salvation”, regardless of else is hurt or killed. It would be a neat callback to the narrative from the original show about most magical girls being “selfish”. Upon seeing this and learning how and why Homura did what she did, they team up again to stop Madoka from becoming a goddess again. Sayaka specifically begging for Homura’s help is now a full circle moment between the two: They went from constantly being at each other’s throats to now finally working together to save their best friend (and crush).

As for Madoka herself, hers is the main POV and screentime of the movie. Despite initially being distant, Madoka has since gotten closer to Homura since the end of Rebellion willingly. Enough to where she gives her back the red ribbons in her hair. As Devil Homura’s world starts becoming unstable, more and more of Madoka’s latent memories / powers start to re-awaken. The tension for much of the movie is that Madoka and Homura are what keep each other “human” and fully intact. Once she is brought to Nazukasokotsune by the new girls (and or Kyubey), they try to manipulate Madoka by showing her when Homura ripped her in half.

What no one in the cast expects then happens: Madoka decides to stand and fight for Homura’s world. After re-living all of Homura’s attempts to save her and memories of Kyubey, she realizes that she is once again being used before again being saved by Homura. That is when the new girls and Kyubey reveal their trump card: A new and stronger Walpurgisnacht will devour Homura’s Devil powers. Madoka is now left with a final struggle of either reascending back to LoC to stop Walpurgisnacht and risk capture again from Kyubey and the Incubators or try to fight it and risk endangering the rest of the universe / multiverse.

This is me theorizing on the story one last time before the movie’s release at the end of next month. I will be shocked if any of what I discussed here happens tbh. Based on everything I’ve observed from the OG show and Rebellion, as well as the promo material, this is what I could think of for the story. I genuinely do think there should be some form of consequences behind Devil Homura’s actions. As for Madoka, I simply need her to be the main character again and take more assertive control over the story. Feel free to share y’all thoughts.

Is Water 7 / Enies Lobby truly the PEAK of the series?

This is coming off a previous post I made polling the best arcs and or sagas in the series from the ones I see most discussed. Of them, Water 7 / Enies Lobby had more than half of the votes by itself.

As a first time viewer of the series this year, even I can admit it is still one of the major highlights of the series. But over twenty years later, is it still the undisputed GOAT of the series?

Do y’all genuinely feel bad for Xehanort?

Personally, even with Dark Road, I still feel like the series is trying to gaslight me into believing that he is inherently good at heart. I really do not appreciate how his death scene from KH3 onwards desperately tries to make Xehanort into some tragic figure after all of the atrocities he has caused.

How would y’all rank all of the Yonko and the OG Admirals from weakest to strongest?

Yonko (Old Whitebeard “not prime”, Shanks, Big Mom, Kaido, Blackbeard, Buggy, and Luffy)

OG Admirals (Akainu, Aokiji, and Kizaru

We all know Buggy is the weakest lol

Kyubey made Madoka a self-sacrifice

A common misconception about Madoka’s character is her endlessly wanting “sacrifice” herself. What many people keep forgetting is how every time she risks life and limb for others is directly caused by Kyubey.

What needs to be discussed around Kyubey is that he is a generational and pathological liar / manipulator. Most of what he says throughout the series can be seen as either a lie or clever manipulation in order for young women to become magical girls. Every conversation with Madoka especially is made for this explicit purpose. In Episodes 3 and 8 where Madoka opens up about her depressive headspace and low self-worth, it is followed by Kyubey directly encouraging her by spinning it in a way where she gets to become exactly what she wanted at that moment: to become a magical girl. The latter instance is one of my personal favorite scenes in the show. Homura shoots and “kills” Kyubey before a wish was made and breaks down to Madoka, chastising her for treating herself so poorly and is in tears begging for her to think about everyone who loves her in her life.

What should also be said is that, despite her low self-esteem, Madoka does genuinely love and value her life. The initial reason why she didn’t become a magical reason was primarily because her life was so good. After seeing Mami’s death, it also immediately deterred any wide-eyed dreams of being a magical girl. She was also visibly horrified when learning the truth about Soul Gems, Witches, and the Incubators. The only reason she even HAD to become a magical girl by the end of the show was because there was absolutely no other way for Walpurgisnacht to be defeated.

Lastly, there is the overall discussion behind her feelings after becoming the Law of Cycles. The flower scene with Homura in Rebellion heavily implies how she must have felt forced to become LoC and heartbroken over being seperate from everyone. The Magical Quartet (or Madoka writers) even clarified that it was no illusion and that was Madoka’s own true feelings. To be overall fair here, Madoka was memory-wiped during this scene and would not remember the circumstances that lead to her godhood. The real important assertion here was that Homura herself believed that Madoka was indirectly asking to be saved, just like how she asked her to save her from Kyubey at the end of the third timeline.

What I wanted to clarify in the fandom is that Madoka isn’t suicidal or actively looking to become a sacrifice. Kyubey and the Incubators twist this innocent yet emotionally vulnerable young women into sacrificing herself for their own goals. If not for them, she would still likely have self-esteem issues, but also still love her perfect life with friends and family.

Which arc / sage would y’all say has the overall best fights in the series?

Compared to the rest of the Big 3, One Piece’s fights aren’t as talked about in regards to which are the best imo. The only fight I really saw put up next Naruto and Bleach was Luffy vs Lucci from twenty years ago.

What I’m asking are which arcs have the best fights in the series, in general. To give my personal opinion, Wano is currently the peak of overall best fights in the series with Egghead and Elbaph very close behind.

If he hypothetically succeeded, what would the Galactic Empire look like under Darth Maul?

In a hypothetical scenario where Maul actually did succeed in overthrowing Palpatine right around The Siege of Mandalore / Revenge of the Sith, how would he have managed the Galactic Empire or some equivalent to it?

Which rescue arc from the Big 3 is best?

Enies Lobby from One Piece, Soul Society from Bleach, or Sasuke Retrieval from Naruto?
