Which setting do you use if you have bad (3-bar) connection?

I want to know if Easy and Smart are "easier" than Advanced to execute in situations where the network connection is not that great.

I usually have 3-bar to 4-bar connections. Mostly I have 3-bar connection. My players cannot turn or evade a full length press by my opponent. I also play LBC and so finding passing options feels limited. In that scenario, dribbling past the pressing is the best way to do it. I usually do the forward dash using the joystick to trigger a sudden speed burst. But usually it still gets intercepted like crazy. At this point, I am stuck in the Division matches climb. I am not progressing beyond 1740. Back and forth.

Need help from genuine guys here who will not make fun of it. Also, preferably replies from mobile users would be better but unfortunately I cannot post in the sub dedicated for the same, hence I am here. I am not great but generic advices like "just practise" are also not helping anyway.

I would appreciate if the mods would be a little considerate and not remove the post. Thanks in advance.

I wanna learn how to effectively turn when my opponent presses directly towards you

Video Courtesy- 9AL Games

He was turning and twisting so effortlessly and whenever he was 1-on-1 with a defender running towards him, he could turn away so efficiently. How does he do such things? Insane pressing has ruined my joy of building up patiently from the back as I get easily dispossessed if I am not making a pass. I rarely able to keep possession of the ball without making a pass.

Can someone help me learn?

Another POTW card that has been insane for me- Desire Doue!

Playstyle- DLF.

It is such an underrated playstyle if you have the patience in buildup and not play just ping-pong passing. He would be unmarked mostly but with Counter Target instructions, he will pop up from nowhere and score for you.

He is really sharp on the ball and his Neymaresque dancing w the ball is great for hold-up play as an SS in the middle. I was not lucky to get his winger ST card with Blitz curl. But I thank myself for not getting it. Since if I had that card, I would have straight away released this card (as I usually do for worse duplicates) and settled with his inaccurate Blitzing version. This would have made me dislike his card forever.

I have been using him in my France attack- alongside CF Dembele (DLF) and CF Mbappe (GP). Insane coordinated runs between the 2 DLFs alternately from time to time. Both are so fast and good with the passing that you will rarely not score and win using that team. Credit to the attack trio and Desire just acts as a catalyst in that attack.

In fact, the problem I feel opponents face while playing against this attack is that they try to mark Mbappe or at least don't allow space to Mbappe. But Doue comes out of syllabus for them. This guy scores braces and hattricks while Mbappe just chills with the opponent's defenders!

He has the form booster as well as the Supersub skill on him. So if you are having any other player on form like Thuram, you can sub him with Doue in the second half too as SS.

Hi everyone,
I want to rely on Raman Tiwari Sir’s YouTube/Unacademy videos, especially his crash course, one-shot lectures, and PYQ sessions. Sadly, most of them have been deleted.

If anyone has them saved, downloaded, or in a Google Drive or on Telegram, I’d be super grateful if you could share. These videos would truly help me understand the basics.

When Saliba jumps above the GK and scores!

Ridiculous goal. The keeper should have had it. Saliba rose above everyone and just poked it in. Easy as you like it.

This POTW card is a gem!

Dembele needs no introduction but when it comes to getting his POTW card, I was quite unlucky in getting none. I had to wait for a very long time (entire 2024-2025 and then until 2026) to get my hands on one. My France National squad used to face some problems on the attacking front with Thuram and Mbappe being the sole strikers and a free Epic card of Ribery.

Then this gentleman arrived and transformed my attack. I also packed Desire Doue (POTW) in the meantime. Together they have been nothing short of fabulous for me in National events representing France. DLF card of Dembele is an added bonus as he makes incredible runs. Usually scores in every match. He is fast and quite nimble too. I consider his card far better than the free France Mbappe card too. I like a stronger CF who can play with a little bit more power. So Dembele fits my expectations. He can slot in to my main squad too any day if I ever need to trust one.

I am sure this flying kiss Dembele is the best version of Dembele in the game currently. It was not released too long back ago too, thus the stats are very good still. Today's Dembele might be good for some but still this card is far better than today's Dembele.

How are we supposed to make money in this sideways market?

The markets rise one day and fall the next day. Exactly 2 years ago I started. Still I am sure these returns can fall to minus 10000 in a month if something bad happens. I know it will rise back up again. Even daily ups and downs get balanced regularly. Rise for 2 days and then a big fall. Is this how markets behave in the long term as well?

Note- Before you assume I am completely invested in Midcap-Smallcap funds, let me tell you that no I am not. I have a variety of funds. Have a decent split of 50-30-20 for Large-Mid-Small caps. My debt allocation is low as I don't invest in Debt MFs and have other sources of Debt instruments elsewhere like PPF, POSS, father's SCSS, etc. I have a 10% US exposure too.

Funds I have in my portfolio-

Parag Parikh Flexi, Nippon Small cap, Edelweiss Midcap, Nasdaq 100 Index fund, Gold, Kotak N200Mom30 and Axis N500Value50.

Considering to switch to Vision Monthly CA pdfs

I have never followed Vision monthly CA pdfs. Always waited for the PT365 to arrive. Read the newspapers daily but had to rely on PT365 for everything as newspaper readings were very casual. In fact, what messed me up more is that fact that PT365 comes so late into the prelims phase of studying that you can barely pick up the last few months pdfs by then. Revision is impossible then and I mostly have to rely on half year's CA! That is from April-Nov mostly. Naturally, I remain weak in CA year after year.

So this time I am thinking of trying out monthly current affairs. I would try to follow one youtube source for daily current affairs, 1 newspaper brisk reading and monthly pdfs.

So my questions are:

  1. Are you guys doing the same?

  2. If yes, how early should I start from? April 2026?

  3. Do you guys split and merge monthly pdfs subject-wise to resemble a PT365?

  4. Will it be feasible to revise monthly magazines of all these months before prelims?

  5. Do you read the PT365 too in the end?

  6. Another option that comes to my mind is following monthly pdfs, reading them, trying to memorise them, etc. but following PT365 as the last source before exams so that I have a consolidated pdf for each subject. Is this feasible or will it create a bigger mess? Most CAs would be known to me by then so it might consume lesser time to read them. Also the language and components might just remain same.

  7. Last option is doing monthlies from Vision but reading the annual compilation of Mudit Jain in the end. No revision of Vision monthlies needed and 1 consolidated thing to read in the end. What do you think?

No clear plan for saving coins or getting the right player is making me wasteful!

I am having this dilemma of whether to spend my coins on a XYZ pack if the players I would replace by buying that pack are still working fine.

Suppose, VVD in defense is working fine till now. He is definitely not the best option there but he does the job. Even Huijsen is good. They are weak links in my otherwise good squad but they are actually still very good cards to use. They don't cause any such problem yet against normal F2P teams. Should I fix something that is still not broken?

Free cards are also adding value to my squad. Nico, Diouf, Gerrard, Ronaldinho, Xabi Alonso, etc. are still doing a decent job and have proved to be exceptional picks. But should I stop at this?

This confusion of getting new players drives me crazy when a stellar pack drops with a great player. Like Rummenigge, Mbappe, Etoo, etc. I have lost a lot of coins in that pursuit.

What should I do?

In fact even if I go for profile-based selection who can fit my ultimate squad, there are so many options. Like Etoo, Rummenigge, Mbappe, etc. can all fit my pick of a CF. In fact, new better cards will always come with better profiles. For CBs there are so many good quality cards like Rio, Desailly, Varane, Thuram, etc.

Then there will be a set of my own real-life favourite players who I would like to pick in my squad like probably a Sergio Ramos, Bonucci-Chiellini, Neuer, Hummels, Jordi Alba, Iniesta, Vieira, Suarez, Lewandowski, Henry, R9, Zidane, Kroos-Modric (if they ever come), etc. There are so many more players that I have watched growing. They are some of the cards I started playing PES with back in the day. They were all top-tier Black balls back then. They may not be anywhere close to Meta but they still have some very usable cards.

Anthropology help needed

I had studied from Karandeep sir about 2yrs ago but couldn't revise well that year. Due to my health issues, I had to skip reading optional in the last year fully. I prepared solely for GS and then Prelims came up. Left optional completely. I am now having my state pcs mains in 3-4 months. How to go about it after such a big gap. How do I pick up optional?

Who should I save my coins for?

NO CLEAR PLAN IS TEMPTING ME TO SPEND ON EVERY GOOD PACK THAT COMES UP AND I AM LOSING COINS.

Who should I target next?

My analysis is I lack a top-tier CF like ST Mbappe, Etoo or Rummenigge. I want the CF to be a speedster, goal poacher and one who can run like crazy and have good physical contact. Whoever fits the box, I will pick him.

I lack 2 Epic CBs. Van Dijk is a very able defender and I would not want to replace him unless someone is very much better than him.

Nico was a stunning pick of that pack. Missed out on Zanetti as I had to pick a MF in Xabi Alonso back then when I needed to build the midfield. Now, Xabi mostly comes from the bench. Too many midfielders already and I would not like to go for any in the near future. Others are doing the job of carrying the rest of the team but I feel these two areas need improvements. Who should I target for CBs and CF?

I have around 900 coins available. I will save in the long run. My current squad is still working fine.
Van Basten is fantastic, along with Cruyff. These 2 are carrying my attack. I need a second CF but the free ones are just satisfactory. I have Diouf, Berbatov, Torres, Castolo, Mbappe, Shevchenko and Okafor (all F2P cards). Plus the issue of the defense. It is fine but then again, people have better defenders.

My Case to the Council has been my wreckless expenditures of coins in the past and my greed of packing a particular player. I have lost a lot of coins without getting the said player.

I confirm I have read the Trio Mandate.

I would have enough coins to clear the full box at some point.

How do I start loving this subject?

I have an exam coming up in a year and my paper is on Anthropology. How did you guys decide to pursue this subject, learn about it and get motivated to work on it? What fascinates you about this subject and how can I develop a liking for this subject so that this whole exercise doesn't feel dull or boring. I want to love this subject by the end of it all.

Any idea about PIB 24x7 by Anuj Jindal on YT? Is it good for covering PIB holistically?

Our paper is shifting towards more focus on PIB and other govt sources. Is it time we also follow PIB like RBI, NABARD and other regulatory exam aspirants? I am not sure how is the content like. I have heard of Affairscloud and CGB Mentors too. I think they are good too but need suggestions. I saw their playlist but they have very short videos (comprising 3-4 news daily). Not sure if they are only focusing on RBI specific news only and not news from all ministries under PIB. If they are following only govt schemes, then we are good to go with the PT365 or annual compilations. If anyone has given regulatory exams here, can you please confirm and suggest some sources?

I don't get the logic why we should not follow PIB when they follow it. Yeah the length of time to be followed for them is lesser. Usually 6 months of PIB is sufficient for them (correct me if I am wrong). We are anyway studying for different exams and following an authentic source like PIB can just ensure we cover relevant news which govt gives more focus (through PIB Explainers, more coverage, etc.).

Need suggestions for covering PIB for UPSC

Usually people don't cover PIB and this year many questions came from PIB. I am considering to target other exams as well where PIB is really important. What will be a good source to cover PIB holistically.

I have heard about Affairscloud which you guys follow. I found some people mentioning about CGB. Do they cover news from all ministries? Or are they specific for banking and economics/finance GK?

Which one is better?

Recommendations required if I wish to prepare for 1yr. YouTube playlist, daily PIB, telegram channel, etc. whatever you guys would suggest me.
