Im currently in my 6th semester at a tier-3 college in Bangalore, with placements coming up next semester. Recently, I’ve been seriously considering preparing for GATE 2027-CSE alongside my placement prep and Java development.

I know balancing both isn’t easy, and it feels like I’m trying to keep my legs in two boats, but I still want to give it a genuine try. I spent a couple of days researching courses—PW seems decent for DPPs and practice but I didn’t really like the lecture quality. GO Classes looks much better in terms of concept clarity, though it’s more time-consuming. For aptitude, I’m thinking of following Amit Khurana.

My main concern is whether this combination is actually manageable or if I’m overestimating myself. Should I focus more on placements first and keep GATE as a secondary goal for now? Also, are these resources good enough, or should I consider other options?

I genuinely don’t want to waste time or go in the wrong direction at this stage. It would really help if someone who has managed both or gone through a similar phase could share honest advice, strategies, or even mistakes to avoid. Any practical guidance would mean a lot.
