Armadillidium maculatum "Zebra"

Armadillidium maculatum "Zebra"
Just got this cubaris notebook to record feedings, waterings, births, and new plants/additions etc. If you keep one, what do you note in it? How does it work for you?
I plan to have lots of plants in and around my enclosures by the end of the year, so I made this rack with lights! Rack itself is a sturdy collapsible metal rack off amazon (about $70) and the grow light bars I got on sale for $25ish (reg price like $40) attached to the undersides of shelves with zip ties.
Each light can be turned on and off individually or all at once. They're a bit bright right now but once i get all the plants in place the pods will have lots of dappled shade and "sun" to enjoy.
I'll have large 20"x10"x11" acrylic tanks on each shelf soon, but these smaller tanks can fit 2 if not 3 each on these shelves, so more opportunities for collecting too. Love it!
Two powders sharing a delicious pantaloons a la carte.
Cubaris Sp. Panda King
I've been loving getting to see these guys out and about more! They're finally settled in and exploring more often.
One month panda tank update!
I have twenty cubaris sp. panda king isopods in here, probably won't see any babies for a while still but I'm learning to be patient.
Open to suggestions on what to add or change!
Things added:
Longan leaves
Catappa leaves
More oak leaves
Maple leaves
Twigs
Fresh moss
Lichen
Creeping Jenny
Pink fittonia
Worm castings
Some spots of my personal substrate mix
Two glass marbles (secured, might remove later)
Ignore the giant plate of repashy I had to remove a lot of it lol
I've been waiting for the day I could catch one of these buggers doing this on camera!
I adore the little hands.
Armadillidium Vulgare "Magic Potion"
I'm growing some plants for future use in my pod tanks, but wanna make sure they're safe if and when they're nibbled on. I'm washing them thoroughly, snipping nodes, water propagating til roots are good and planting into small cups with nothing but my basic mix of isopod substrate (basically wood and compost lol)
I've used this method on several plants now and they root and grow very well, i'm just wondering if any of these plants would be bad for the pods. If you have any propagation/cleaning advice I would love to hear!
I got this little 4" wood hide from an expo last weekend and tucked moss and lichen all underneath it. I keep it slightly moist and the pods LOVE it. I see them crawling in and out of it constantly.
Picked up 30 zebras from a couple different sellers at an expo yesterday. They're so beautiful, very active, photogenic and even prettier than I imagined in person. I also got a high white I think (last pic)
They're all a good size too, didnt get any tiny babies,
so once they settle in I hope their population booms! I'll be transferring them into a large acrylic display tank once I have a good sized colony going. They'll be a classroom pet for my mom, I plan to gift her the tank this christmas (without pods yet)
This chonker was found in our sandy rock garden and I quickly snatched him up for my backyard pods bin. Soon as he got in he started eating, they're always starving when i get them inside. Easily an inch long and in my opinion, absolutely gorgeous.
Snails and pods will be separated once the pod colony grows a little. These are from my backyard, garden snail and (presumably) nasatum or vulgare isopod.
His greed sickens me. He does NOT need all that potato.
Different zooms for size reference.
Just wondering what we know about these guys! From what I can tell they seem to be zebra springs, and I can find little to no info on them, how to keep them, breed them, or anything they prefer.
