Angelito: 2nd Vet update | Senior Dog Rescued After Abused/Stabbed by Previous Owner #VoicelessNoMorePh

Hi everyone,

Angelito’s recovery is not going to be easy, but he is not facing it alone. 🤍

His red blood cell count remains low, so he will receive five EPO injection treatments this week while he works on regaining his strength. For now, amputation is not recommended, so we will continue caring for his injury, keeping it clean, and bringing him to his follow-up checkups.

We also provided prescription more recovery food, dextrose powder, and cleaning supplies for the shelter to help support Angelito and protect the other animals. We will continue sending financial support to help with his transportation and medical needs.

Through everything he has endured, Angelito is loved, seen, and genuinely cared for. His life MATTERS, and we will continue doing everything we can to give him the chance he deserves.

To anyone who would like to provide financial support for Angelito, please visit our website, which is shown in the video. I will also be sharing another link in the comment section. To be honest, Angelito is already the 5th rescued animal we have had at the veterinary clinic this week, and with multiple animals needing medical care at the same time, the costs can quickly become overwhelming. We appreciate everyone who continues to support our rescued animals🤍

For your safety, please double-check that the link was posted by me and comes from our official account before sending any financial support. 🤍

Thank you so much for helping us continue to care for Angelito and our other rescued animals. Every bit of support truly makes a difference. Will keep posting updates.

Thor, Ellie, Raphael, Angelo, Angelito Update 🤍 #VoicelessNoMorePhRescuedAnimals

Hi everyone,

Thor and Ellie went back to the veterinary clinic for testing for a fungal infection, and unfortunately, both of their results came back positive for Malassezia (fungal dermatitis).

Their veterinarian explained that this may be related to the severe malnutrition and neglect they endured before they were rescued, which likely weakened their skin barrier and immune system. Thankfully, they do not need to be on a hypoallergenic diet at this time. They will, however, be receiving antifungal medications and supplements to help their skin heal and support their recovery.

Their recent expenses include:
Thor & Ellie veterinary bill — Aug. 17: Php 5,010 ($113.76 CAD)

Thor & Ellie veterinary bill — Aug. 19: Php 3,600 ($84.48 CAD)

Hypoallergenic food — Aug. 17: Php 2,475 ($56.15 CAD)

2x Royal Canin Gastrointestinal food — Aug. 16: Php 3,317 ($75.44 CAD)

Our rescued dogs Raphael and Angel were also recently at the veterinary clinic.

Raphael
Raphael went for his follow-up checkup. We are happy that his blood work and injuries have improved. However, the veterinarians recently discovered a mass under the skin on his right flank. For now, we will be monitoring it closely and following the veterinarian's recommendations.
Veterinary bill — Aug. 18: Php 800 ($18.10 CAD)

Angel
Angel was recently diagnosed with Babesia, a blood parasite. She had ticks before she was rescued last July, and unfortunately, the infection has now shown up in her blood work.
The good news is that her fungal infection is improving, and she continues to have a huge appetite, which is something we are very happy to see.
Veterinary bill — Aug. 17: Php 4,930 ($111.89 CAD)

Angelito
Angelito is still resting and eating well.
We are planning to take him to the veterinary clinic later to have his wound cleaned again and to have his blood work checked.

Because Angelito’s condition is severe, even though he was just recently seen by his veterinarian, we would also like to have him examined by a different doctor for a second opinion. We believe that having another veterinarian assess his condition may provide us with a different perspective and possibly additional recommendations on how we can better support his recovery and give him the best care possible.
We are doing everything we can to give Angelito a chance to heal. His condition is still very serious, but as long as he continues to fight, we want to continue fighting alongside him.

Again, will send updates as soon as we can.

We are doing our best to continue providing all of our rescued animals with the medical care, food, medications, shelter support/allowance, supplements, and anything that they need. But with multiple animals undergoing treatment at the same time, the expenses are becoming increasingly difficult for us to manage on our own.

If you are able to provide financial support toward their veterinary care, food, medications, transportation, daily needs, or our mission of helping vulnerable animals in the Philippines, it would mean so much to us and our rescued animals.
We also understand that not everyone can help financially. Support is completely voluntary, and kind words, encouragement, and sharing our posts are equally appreciated. Thank you for standing with us.

Thank you to everyone who continues to stand behind our rescues and support them through their recovery. We truly appreciate you.

Sincerely,

Angel: the Neglected Husky who Survived| Vet Update #VoicelessNoMorePH

Hi everyone,

Angelina “Angel” JULYie (bec she was rescued on July 4, 2026) went for her follow-up checkup yesterday.

Dr. Padilla explained that during her checkup when she got rescued, they found ticks, but her blood work did not yet indicate that she had a blood parasite. She was treated for the ticks at that time.

Unfortunately, her latest blood work now shows that Angel is positive for Babesia, a blood parasite. We’re grateful that it was detected so we can treat her properly.
The good news is that her fungal infection is getting better, and she is also eating much more and gaining weight. Honestly, I cannot wait until this sweet girl is completely healthy again.

Once Angel has recovered, we will have her spayed and then begin looking for a loving family for her.
That is my dream for all of our rescued animals. I never want them to spend the rest of their lives in shelters. I want every single one of them to eventually experience a safe home, a loving family, and the life they deserve.

Her veterinary bill yesterday was:
Php 4,930 ($111.89 CAD)

It may not seem like a lot to some people, but when you are caring for many rescued animals, these expenses add up quickly. We help cover their weekly and monthly veterinary care, medications, specialized diets, daily food, shelter support, transportation, and other necessities.

We also sponsor programs such as free spay/neuter initiatives in the Philippines to help prevent more animals from ending up on the streets.

If you would like to help support our mission, I will leave a link in the comments for anyone who would like to provide financial support.

Please know that this is completely voluntary.

We believe that animal welfare is community work, and we cannot do this alone.

We are a very small, newly established non-profit, and we do not receive government grants or funding from third parties. Every bit of support, whether through
financial contributions, sharing our posts, sharing kind words, or simply helping spread awareness, makes a difference.

Thank you for caring about Angel and all the other animals we are trying to help.🤍

The Trauma Raphael Still Carries #VoicelessNoMorePH

Hi everyone,

Raphael is one of our rescued animals who holds a very special place in my heart. But honestly, they all do. ❤️

Not everyone understands how deeply trauma and pain can affect someone, especially animals. Sometimes, we expect them to simply “move on” after they are rescued because they are finally safe. But it doesn't always work that way.

To be honest, it hurts me to see how difficult it still is for Raphael to trust people. He gets triggered very easily, especially when he is at the veterinary clinic and has to be restrained. I can't help but wonder if being restrained brings back memories of what happened to him - of the person who placed a metal wire around his leg and caused him a permanent injury.

Raphael has been through more than any animal should ever have to endure. He was a stray, intentionally starved, nearly butchered, and suffered a permanent injury after someone placed a metal wire around his leg. Being rescued did not erase those experiences. His physical wounds are only part of his story. The emotional wounds can be much harder to see, and sometimes, they take much longer to heal.

Because of his trauma and fear, Raphael can become aggressive when he feels threatened or frightened. He needs to be sedated whenever he has to receive veterinary care because he becomes extremely difficult to handle when he is scared. But I don't look at Raphael and see a “bad” or “aggressive” dog.

I see a dog who is scared.
I see a dog who learned that people could hurt him.
I see a dog who is still trying to protect himself from something he believes may happen again.
And honestly, I don't blame him.

At the vet yesterday, they also discovered a mass under the skin on his right flank. Thankfully, the veterinarian said that it can be monitored for now, and his blood work came back normal. ❤️

We will continue to be patient with Raphael. We will give him the time, space, understanding, and love that he needs. We may not be able to erase everything that happened to him, but we can make sure that his future is different from his past.

Healing isn't always about making an animal completely forget what happened. Sometimes, healing means helping them slowly understand that they are finally safe.
Raphael has already survived so much. He survived hunger, cruelty, fear, and unimaginable pain.
Now, we just want him to live.
To feel safe.
To be loved.
And to finally experience the life he should have had all along. ❤️‍🩹

He doesn't have to fight for his life anymore. We will keep reminding him of that, one day at a time.

Ellie and Thor: Aug 16 Update

Hi everyone,

Thor and Ellie are doing so great! We had to reschedule their vet appointment for tomorrow instead, so please wish them luck! ❤️

During their appointment, we are going to ask the veterinarian about Thor’s skin, which has been looking a little reddish, especially around his snout. We’ll also have Ellie checked to see how she is progressing.

Ellie has been standing and walking much more compared to when she was first rescued. When we rescued her, she could barely stand for long because of her weakness and likely the wounds on her legs. Seeing her become stronger is truly encouraging. 🥹❤️

We are also going to order more Royal Canin Gastrointestinal food for both of them tomorrow to make sure they continue getting the nutrition they need during their recovery.

If anyone would like to help Thor and Ellie, please feel free to visit our website. I will also share a direct link in the comments. We help cover their shelter support, food, veterinary appointments, medications, and other necessities they may need throughout their recovery.

We would also like to sincerely thank Pages for Paws Shelter for collaborating with us and opening their home to Thor and Ellie. We are incredibly grateful for the care and love they are receiving there.

I have also personally provided a gift to their caretaker at Pages for Paws as a small gesture of appreciation. I hope to continue doing this when I can on a monthly basis. I want to clarify that whenever I provide monetary gifts, presents, or any other form of appreciation directly to shelter caretakers, I use my personal funds, not the non-profit’s funds.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Thor and Ellie. Every bit of kindness helps give them the chance they deserve. ❤️🐾

Angelito Video Update 🐾❤️ Rescued Abused Senior Dog 🤍

Hi everyone,

Angelito had a bowel movement today, and he is eating three times a day. He is still fighting. ❤️

I spoke with his veterinarian about euthanasia because several people have suggested it, but she does not recommend it at this time. She said that Angelito still has strength, and euthanasia should be considered only as a last option.

I understand where people are coming from, and I respect that people have different perspectives, especially across cultures. For me and the shelter owner caring for Angelito, we are a team, and we have decided to give him a chance.

We do not want Angelito's final memories to be about the abuse he endured: the pain, being stabbed in the foot, being starved, or being treated as though his life did not matter. We want his memories to be filled with love, kindness, safety, good food, and people who believe that his life is worth fighting for.

At the same time, we are not naive. We understand that there may come a point when his suffering becomes too great. We will continue to closely monitor and reassess his condition with his veterinarian. If his pain and suffering become obvious and his quality of life can no longer be maintained, we will consider euthanasia as an act of compassion.

But that is not where we are right now.
Right now, Angelito is eating. He had a bowel movement. He still has strength. He is standing. And he is still fighting.

So we are going to fight alongside him.

Angelito: Abused Senior Dog Update (Don’t worry, he has a blanket. Just removed in this video when eating). Thank you for the love 🙏

Hi everyone,

Previous Post:

https://www.reddit.com/u/Certain\_Tackle1710/s/BTpbWVf1Yr

Thank you to everyone who has helped already. I honestly feel overwhelmed right now. I am angry, heartbroken, and experiencing so many emotions over what Angelito has gone through.

The person who reported the abuse is also not willing to testify because her husband is a relative of Angelito’s owner. Unfortunately, this has happened so many times. We encounter severe cases of abuse and neglect, but our hands are often tied because of the challenges with enforcing animal protection laws in the Philippines. This is one of the reasons people continue to believe they can harm animals without consequences.

Angelito has been resting. He has not had a bowel movement yet, but he has already urinated. The food he is eating in this video is Royal Canin Recovery that we purchased from the veterinary clinic, mixed with rice. Believe it or not, dogs in the Philippines are also accustomed to eating rice.

And just to clarify, Angelito does have a blanket. In this video, it had simply been removed while he was eating. We are doing everything we can to keep him comfortable.

The clinic did not have a separate distemper isolation area, but we purchased all of the medications he needs, as well as his IV fluids. We are also very thankful to The Happy Cat Squad shelter for collaborating with us and helping care for Angelito.

To be completely transparent, the support we have received so far have not covered his veterinary fees, transportation, and shelter support. And that is okay. We understand that donations are never guaranteed, and we are genuinely grateful for every amount that has been given.

But please don't worry because every financial support we have received and every upcoming support will be used toward Angelito's care, treatments, medications, and whatever else he needs while recovering at the shelter. We will continue to make sure the funds go toward his needs.

However, to those who have called us a scam: we are NOT a scam. We are also a registered non-profit.

I work hard to provide for the animals we rescue. Please take the time to look through our Reddit profile or Instagram page, and you will see that I do many other things to raise funds for this non-profit. I collect bottles and cans, hold bake sales, sell items that I purchase with my own money, and contribute part of my own income to help these animals.

No one has ever been forced to send us money. Every financial support is completely voluntary.

Regarding those suggesting that Angelito should be euthanized, I understand why some people may feel that way, especially considering the condition he was found in. But we also believe that he still has a chance, and we are willing to take responsibility for his expenses if the financial support we receive from our generous donors is not enough to cover them. Angelito is worth every sacrifice we make.

If we see that he continues to struggle and is suffering or in pain despite treatment, we will reassess the situation with the veterinary team. But right now, we still see him fighting, and we want to give him that chance.

I also read a comment saying that we do this to make ourselves “feel good.” Honestly, I find that incredibly hurtful and difficult to understand. This work breaks my heart almost every single day because of the severe abuse and neglect that we see everyday. It has also created a significant financial burden for me. I also do not get paid to do any of this. I voluntarily give part of my own income to this mission because I believe these animals deserve a chance. So, it is hurtful that people think that we take pleasure in animals’ suffering. That just makes me sick.

So please, be patient with us. We are doing our best for Angelito, and we will continue to do everything we reasonably can to help him.

If I sound harsh, I am sorry, I am feeling burnt out today.

Sincerely,

Magdalene “Dindi” Gensaya

Angelito: Senior Dog stabbed by Owner/RESCUED/Also has Distemper, Heartworm, BloodParasite💔💔💔

Hi everyone,

This is Angelito. His original name was “Parky”, but I decided to change it today when we finally got him rescued when I found out about his situation.

His owner stabbed his foot because they no longer wanted to take care of him. Yup.. i know, i couldn’t explain how I felt when I found out about the reason. They were planning to end his life too.

When we came across a video of Angelito online showing his situation, we immediately reached out for more information and asked for him to be rescued. He was from Jala Jala, Rizal, Philippines.

We arranged the same pet transportation service we used yesterday, and Angelito has now arrived safely at the vet. We are currently learning more about his condition and the treatment he will need.

Unfortunately, this rescue came at a time when we are already financially overwhelmed. We are still trying to recover from Sophia’s veterinary bill from August 12, and now we have another emergency rescue in need of immediate medical care. But when we see an animal suffering like this, it is very difficult to look away. Angelito deserved better, and we are going to do everything we can to give him a chance.

So far, we have already spent:
Vet: Php 23,590 ($537.36 CAD)
Pet transportation: Php 4,040 ($95.05 CAD)
Total so far: Php 27,630 ($632.41 CAD)

Angelito has also tested positive for Distemper, Heartworm, and blood parasite. He is also anemic and has liver problems and he is also already a senior dog, which means his recovery will require ongoing care and strict infection-control measures. We will be providing financial support to the shelter where he will stay, as we always do, and we will cover the supplies he needs for his recovery, including disinfectant materials to help protect the other animals at the shelter where he will be staying.

We are doing everything we can for Angelito, but we cannot do this alone. Every support is really important to us right now.

We will continue to share updates on Angelito’s condition.

Please help us help him, especially as he has a long recovery. Once he recovers, the vet recommended that his foot get amputated :/

Our website is on the pictures posted above. I will also post another link on the comment section.

Thank you all for understanding.

Sophia: A Stray Who Deserved to Be Seen #VoicelessNoMorePh ❤️

Hi everyone,

This is Sophia. ❤️

Just a couple of days ago, I saw a photo of an emaciated dog posted by Michael Tarronas, a well-known pet transportation rider. From the post, it appeared that she had not yet been rescued. I immediately reached out to Michael and asked if I could hire his services to locate her, bring her to the veterinarian, and transport her to a shelter. I told him that I would cover all of her needs.

Michael told me that he lived far from where Sophia was originally seen, but I was determined to find her and get her to safety.

It took several hours to locate her. We eventually learned that Sophia had been hiding because children would often throw rocks at her. Thankfully, she was found that afternoon and brought to the veterinarian. That was when I learned that she was a girl, and I knew she needed a name. I named her Sophia.

Giving rescued animals names is very important to me. I don't see them as numbers or as animals who are somehow less deserving. I see each of them as an individual, a life that is valuable, worthy of love, and deserving to be seen and recognized.

I also bought Sophia a cage because she needs to be isolated from the other dogs at the shelter for a little while as she recovers. I am incredibly grateful to Happy Cat Squad for opening their home to Sophia and giving her a safe place to heal.

Voiceless No More is Sophia's main sponsor. We will provide her with monthly support and everything she needs throughout her recovery. I cannot wait to watch this beautiful girl heal, gain her strength, and have the glow-up she deserves. ❤️

There are still so many animals out there waiting for someone to give them a chance, and I hope we can continue to be there for them.

If you would like to support our mission and Sophia, please feel free to visit the website included on the video. I will also leave an alternative link in the comments.

Thank you so much for standing with us and for helping us give animals like Sophia a second chance.

Ellie and Thor’s visible Weight GAIN!

Hi everyone,

We have been getting daily updates about Ellie and Thor from Pages for Paws Shelter. We asked them to let us know right away if they are running low on anything, so we can order it for them as soon as possible.

For those who missed my last update about them, I also recently got Ellie and Thor Royal Canin puppy food. I messaged their vet to ask what else we could do to help ensure their recovery, especially because they came from a case of severe malnutrition. Their vet recommended puppy food because it contains more protein, which can help support their recovery, and she specifically recommended Royal Canin puppy food. So, of course, I immediately ordered it for them. ❤️

I am especially thankful for the caretaker of Ellie and Thor at Pages for Paws. We call him “Uncle,” and he has been taking such good care of them. I’m still thinking about what kind of gift I should send him, or how much would be appropriate, to show my appreciation. I personally use my own money (not funds from
the non-profit) whenever I give gifts to the caretakers because I want them to know how much I appreciate everything they do for our rescued animals. ❤️ As always, we also send monthly financial support to the shelter where our rescued animals are staying to help cover their ongoing expenses.

Anyway… LOOK AT THESE PHOTOS! 🥹❤️ Look at how much weight Ellie and Thor have gained! They are looking so much healthier, and seeing this progress makes my heart so happy!

Thank you to everyone who has supported Ellie and Thor and helped give them the chance to heal and finally experience proper care, good food, and love. 🙏❤️

TiggerWarning/ Oh, Hunter: From Hell to Safety ❤️

Hi everyone,

Hunter is getting bigger and bigger by the minute! ❤️ I reminded the shelter owner where he is being fostered that Hunter is due for his vaccinations.

I really cannot forget Hunter’s story. I don’t know whether I should be proud when I say that I literally stalked his ab*$3r’s Facebook account to locate Hunter and find an informant who could accurately direct me to direct the pet transportation service I hired to pick him up😂

The shelter we eventually found for Hunter was four hours away from his location because there was simply no one else available to take him at the time. Resources for animals in the Philippines are extremely limited, especially for Aspins (Filipino dogs), due to many factors, including breed discrimination. But I tried my best to get Hunter out of that situation and into safety. And our responsibility did not end with his rescue.

We still support Hunter even after he was rescued. I am not someone who abandons an animal simply because they have been removed from their previous situation. Rescue means continuing to care for them and making sure they have what they need to live a safe and healthy life.

We continue to provide financial support to the shelter for Hunter’s needs, and we will continue to do our best for him. ❤️

You are safe now, Hunter. We’ve got you. 🤍

Ellie and Thor Update/Husky and Pitbull/ Severe Neglect Case

Hi everyone,

Ellie and Thor are still doing well. ❤️

I messaged their veterinarian and asked what else we could do to help support their recovery, especially because of the severe malnourishment they suffered from in the past. Their vet recommended Royal Canin puppy food because puppy food contains more protein and nutrients to support growth and recovery. I actually just learned this, so I immediately ordered some for them. 🥰 we already bought them two 2kgs Royal Canin gastrointestinal dry food which was also recommended by their veterinarian.

I also wanted to share a picture of the two XXL beds we got for them! They deserve to be as comfortable as possible while they continue to heal and regain their strength. ❤️🐾

Just to clarify, Thor is only kept on a leash during mealtimes because he tends to steal Ellie’s food. 😂 He has a very healthy appetite and will happily finish his own food and then try to help himself to Ellie’s!
Other than during meals, he is free to move around and enjoy his time at the Pages For Paws shelter’s owner’s place (There is a distemper outbreak currently at the actual shelter, there are in isolation).

Their next vet’s appointment is on Aug 15, 2026.

Thank you all for your kindness!!

Ellie and Thor Update/Neglected Husky and Pitbull/ Recovery 🙏💛

Hi everyone,

Ellie and Thor are still doing well. ❤️

I messaged their veterinarian and asked what else we could do to help support their recovery, especially because of the severe malnourishment they suffered from in the past. Their vet recommended Royal Canin puppy food because puppy food contains more protein and nutrients to support growth and recovery. I actually just learned this, so I immediately ordered some for them. 🥰 I already bought them two 2kgs Royal Canin gastrointestinal dry food which was also recommended by their veterinarian.

Elijah’s Abdominal Hernia/ BloodParasites/ Anemia 🥹

Hi everyone,

One of our rescued dogs, Elijah, finally had his follow-up veterinary check-up. His appointment was delayed because the previous shelter where he was staying experienced unexpected circumstances and it became quite hectic during that time.

Elijah is now safe at Gose Paradise for Paws Shelter in Montalban, Rizal, where he is receiving the care he needs. He remains under the sponsorship and care of Voiceless No More: Philippines Stray Animals Foundation.

Elijah once had an owner, but he spent most of his time outside and appeared to have been neglected for a very long time. No animal deserves to live that way, which is why we stepped in to rescue him on May 2, 2026 in Tanza, Cavite, and we never abandoned him and still support him.

Today, Elijah has been diagnosed with several blood parasites, including Ehrlichia, Anaplasma, and Babesia, which are the cause of his anemia. He also has an abdominal hernia, but surgery cannot be performed until he has recovered from the blood parasites and his anemia has stabilized.

I honestly cannot wait until he fully recovers and be ready for adoption. Today, he had to be moved to a different room with less dogs because the other dogs were trying to fight him at the shelter, hence, why he has like a scratch on his face. I just want him to have a nice home where he feels safe. I feel sad right now because I just want the best for all our rescued animals, but I know everything is a process.

His veterinary bill today totaled Php 9,895 ($229.60 CAD). We remain committed to seeing Elijah through his recovery, no matter how long it takes. If anyone would like to contribute toward Elijah's recovery or support the mission of giving neglected and abandoned animals a second chance, we would be incredibly grateful.
