Paint help.

So, I have some Fyreslayers I want to paint up. I'd like to use their axes as an opportunity to practice some NMM. But for their gold I really just want to put down some true metallic gold to make it a little easier on myself. Will this clash and look weird together? Or will the NMM and real gold look fine together?

List advice for a beginner at 750

This is a list I'm thinking about for some 750 point games I'm going to start with a buddy. The main reason for this list is it's ever.model from a battleforce my lgs has, plus lelith. She's a cool model and I'd love to have her in the final 2000 points. Will this list be fine? And is there an obvious detachment I could/should take? And I hopefully can pad out the final few points with enhancements.

Playstyle advice

I've heard drukhari is a bit of a glass cannon and very unforgiving. What are some things or advice for how to play that would lead to less feel bad moments? What are some major do's and dont's for playing drukhari that would make my life easier?

Bring chaos warriors as allies.

I was thinking about picking up the new Old World starter box. I'd like to take the chaos warriors and Hashut-ify them, then bring them as allies with chaos dwarfs. Any advice on paint schemes and conversions I could do to make them appear Hashut aligned?

Assembling Votann

So, I'm on the fence between two factions. My last deciding factor is really just how hard are the models to assemble?

Would an average 2000 point Votann list physically assemble easily?

I don't really like assembling models and wanted to know how big of a headache I'd have assembling Votann.

Leagues of votann proxy for practice

I'm wanting to get back into 40k. I haven't played since 9th edition. I was wanting to proxy up a list. I was considering this list, which is essentially just both combat patrols slapped together, and throw in a Hekaton Land Fortress.

Would I be better off just proxying 2000 points?

Or will I still get a good feel for whether or not I like the army at 1000 points?

n (995 points)

Leagues of Votann

Einhyr Champion (65 points)

Ûthar the Destined (90 points)

Hearthkyn Warriors (100 points)

Brôkhyr Thunderkyn (80 points)

Sylvaneth battleforce.

So, I have this sykvaneth battle force. I'm not super interested in playing them in aos, and would like to use them for tow. What could I realistically proxy this whole box as? (And I'd love to use the entire box)

Also. Can I make a cohesive 500 point battle march list from this box?

I know I still need core units. So, I'd probably get those separately.

Screens?

Very new to the army. Do we screen with our Arkanaut Company? Or do allow being deployed in the clouds be our "screen"? Is our movement just good enough to where we don't need screens?

Help with 2000 point KO list

1x Brokk Grungsson

1x Arkanaut Frigate

2x Grundstok Gunhaulers

6x Skywardens / Endrinriggers (not assembled yet)

1x Unit of 10 Arkanaut Company

1x Jakkob Bugmansson XI that I feel could be appropriately proxies as something else.

Without paying for a battle formation, artefacts, hero traits or Using Jakkob in the list, this puts me between 1160-1200 points.

Using all the models I have, what should I add to this to make a cohesive 2000 point army?

And more or less what should my game plan be going forward into the new 2026 ghb?

I just got back into aos after 3 years and would love to try these guys out. Especially, since I have the battle force.

Torn between Age of sigmar and the old world

So I recently got back into age of sigmar. I have quite a bit of stuff and a healthy pile of shame. I can't help but feeling aos is even more dumbed down now then when I played before. I also recently dipped a toe into the old world and love it. I find myself wanting to completely abandon aos and start converting/building my pile of shame into armies for tow. I'm just nervous about the community at large for tow. There seems to be a little bit of community where I am, but aos seems to have a much stronger community, at least locally. I am even tempted to rip my beloved gloomspite gitz army from their bases and start them over in the old world.

What's your guys experience been with the pull between the two gaming systems?

Negronis

I've started making standard negronis. I have Gordon's and beefeaters both. I think I like Gordon's more, and was wondering what would be a nice gin to pick up next to try. I also find that I like Gordon's a lot in my martinis. Especially two-to-one gin vermouth martinis.

Painting chaos dwarf army.

So, I just got into the old world and have 500 points built for battle march. I have the new hellsmiths of hashut models. And was wanting to do something like this and a goblin green base.

But I'm torn between that and doing something a little more black with some battle damage, chipping, oils etc with a lava base. I could maybe try some osl as well.

But, the goblin green base is sooo tempting. Also, for green bases how do you guys tackle larger base models? I just would want the larger base models to have something to break up the sea of green that would be their base.

I'm also incorporating the krullboyz hobgrotz and have no real clue what to do with them paint wise.
