Landlord raised my rent, issues with the house

So long story short my landlord raised my rent from $950 to $1,050, the house has termites and mold in the attic space caused by a leaking roof and no proper ventilation, my power went out a few days ago after a high wind came and a big tree limb fell on the power line pole on the house.

and I told him about it and all the issues going on with the attic while he was here, he had my power back on yesterday within 2 hrs. He told me he wasn’t going to do anything about the termites because he had already got an exterminator this was 3 years ago they treated one spot under the house that was it.

Then I told him about the floor joists collapsing in the corner of the bedroom he told me he wasn’t going to do anything to it till after I move out.

I think he told me he was going to fix the roof and gutters but I feel I shouldn’t have a rent increase and living like this. I told him I was wanting to get my own place within the next year or so.

I’m fed up with landlords and renting the past 2 landlords I’ve had all screwed me over kept my deposits for no reason one of them even said “we don’t do that” when I asked about it.

I’m taking every little thing I put into the property, leaving nothing behind. I have receipts for it all.

I’ve been in this house for 6 years, told me he likes me I take care of the house, then turns around and raises my rent

[REQ] ($20) - (#Guthrie, KY, USA), (Repay $25 on 08/02/2026), (PayPal/CashApp)

just paid my $1,050 rent bill a few days ago, so my bank account is sitting a bit low. I am currently feeling a bit burned out from the delivery apps and the 98-degree heat, so I'm looking to borrow a quick $20 so I can grab a warm dinner tonight locally once the weather cools down. I am setting the repayment date for a full month out (August 2nd) to give myself a safe cushion to rest and recover. Can repay $25 via Cash App or PayPal. Thank you so much for the help!

How do you block customers?

I’m so tired of delivering heavy items to apartments and they don’t even give you directions on where there apartment is located, I’ve noticed there isn’t anyway to block the customer

Why are Thursdays the worst?

I only made $25 today, it was so bad, I would’ve just stayed home if I had known this as I have to drive 28mins to town, (Kentucky to Tennessee I’m on the state line)

I got to Krogers at 6:30am and didn’t leave until 4pm, there was just no orders worth taking and the mileage was too far. I went to Walmart to grab some stuff I needed and come back and still nothing. I really hope tomorrow and the weekend makes up for it, I’m literally $717 short on my rent and hoping to have it paid by the 1st. Summers are the worst it was like this last year too but I got it paid

[REQ] ($42) - (#Guthrie, KY, USA), (Repay $50 on 7/1/2026), (Cashapp, Venmo)

Hi everyone, I have a successful borrowing history here and need a small loan to cover an automated app payment on Sunday. This ensures I keep gas in my tank to complete my full-time Instacart shifts over the high-volume weekend. I am on track with my earnings and will repay $50 on Tuesday, July 6th, 2026. Can provide proof of identity and income. Thanks!"

How do I pause payments?

The app isn’t letting me pause any payments. I only owe $42.50 and I have not rescheduled any payments this month, I tried contacting support to have the payments moved to next month but here not responding

[KY] this is unbelievable, how will my landlord handle this?

So 2 years ago my landlord came over as I told him there was black stuff growing on the ceiling and it might be mold, he came over inspected the room told me he didn’t know what it was and said the room did feel kind of stuffy and told me to just buy a dehumidifier to keep in the room, also the house has termites in the den/ garage area, he had an exterminator come out 3 years ago. Only under the house was treated , then few days ago I found out there is carpenter ant frass the door frame going into my bedroom.

You can see from the salt and pepper frass it’s not termites, I also went up on the attic and found out the OSB board is rotting away form water damage and that’s what’s causing the ceiling to turn black with mold. Me and my yorkie sleep in the room every night.

My landlord just messaged me May 3rd saying he was raising my rent from $950 to $1,050 starting July 1st, he also told me he has insurance and tax changes he hasn’t done yet, I’m not sure what my landlord is going to do I highly doubt his insurance will pay for it as he really hasn’t been keeping the house up to date and kind of stopped 3 years ago, I called Kentucky legal aid and there was nothing they could do as the rent can’t be freezed.

I am just going to have to send him a text message with all the photos after I pay my rent on the 1st

just found this few days ago

So 2 years ago my landlord came over as I told him there was black stuff growing on the ceiling and it might be mold, he came over inspected the room told me he didn’t know what it was and said the room did feel kind of stuffy and told me to just buy a dehumidifier to keep in the room, also the house has termites in the den/ garage area, he had an exterminator come out 3 years ago but looks like there back, then I found out last night there are carpenter ants on the door frame going into my bedroom.

You can see from the salt and pepper frass it’s not termites, I also went up on the attic and found out the OSB board is rotting away form water damage and that’s what’s causing the ceiling to turn black with mold. Me and my yorkie sleep in the room every night.

My landlord just messaged me May 3rd saying he was raising my rent from $950 to $1,050 starting July 1st, he also told me he has not done the insurance on the house yet so that means he’s financially trapped and trying to put the extra $100 increased rent on me

I have a drop in income this month and I’m trying to make every dime I can before the 1st and the way things are going I don’t think it’s going to happen. I tried calling several places for rent assistance but they all have no funding. I am waiting for a Catholic Church to call me back.

I woke up at 5:50am expecting it to be busy and its not, only did 1 order for $16 with distance 2 miles, I don't know what's going on with instacart its been dead since Friday and I am really tired of driving to town everyday for nothing (I live 28mins away), Its hard to tell when its busy I just got home and on the way back there was a few triples that showed up for $33 11 miles, still not worth it. sorry I've been complaining everyday but i am not the only one that experiencing a drop.

Omg why is it so dead 😩

The app has been dead for 3 days now, I was expecting Sunday to be busy but apparently not, it’s just trash order after trash order, I’m starting to freak out about not getting my rent paid, I do have some options for assistance but they may not have funding, I really hope tomorrow is better as it’s Monday, what a terrible weekend

I should’ve known…..

I should’ve known it was going to be slow today, it’s Saturday and everyone is out and about lots of events going on in my area , tomorrow is Sunday and Father’s Day. should be busy like it was on Mother’s Day at least I made some gas money and come home, not worth sitting in the car in this heat, it was super slow Friday too I had high hopes

Why is it so slow on a Friday?

Can’t believe how slow it was this morning , I drove 28mins to town and waited 4hrs and not one single order worth taking, is it because of the Juneteenth holiday? Hoping tomorrow is better, last Friday I made $245

Feel exhausted after the weekend?

Anyone do instacart so much I did it over the weekend and my last day was Monday, I still feel exhausted and have no energy just been sitting around for 3 days almost now, I’m guessing it takes 3-4 days to feel normal again, I’m going to do instacart tomorrow, I did some pretty good orders over the weekend shouldn’t feel this drained must be from lifting too much

The Kroger water!

Be careful what you accept. I almost took a $25 order 4 miles but then seen 12 cases of water on the order and someone took it, feel sorry for them having to put all that in a shopping cart, I’d rather do canned sodas then those waters

Replacing Steering Wheel 23 Rogue SL

I just got my replacement leather heated steering wheel today for my 23 Rogue SL, I purchased it on eBay for $120, looks almost new came off of a rogue with 16,000 miles. The switches on my old steering wheel are broke and something going on with the wiring as the middle scroll button would no longer work, I think I damaged it somehow by prying on the switches to replace them, the cruise control switch works just fine but the volume switch scroll doesn’t work at all and j can’t access the vehicle settings.

I’m wondering if I could replace the steering wheel myself? Or just go to a shop, I watched a video and doesn’t look that hard, I don’t have a torque wrench though

Payment reminders

Why does Klarna wait until the day before the due date to email you a reminder letting you know the payment is due?

All the other apps I use send me a notice at least 4 days in advance
