What are some Twitch streamers from Rockford, Illinois that you recommend watching?
I’m looking for streamers who are actually based in or around Rockford. Any size is fine—small creators, up-and-coming streamers, or bigger channels. I mostly watch gaming content, but I’m open to other types of streams too.
What’s the nicest thing a complete stranger has ever done for you?
Could be something small, like paying for your coffee, or something life-changing that you still remember years later.
I’m curious to hear your stories.
Just finished Metaphor: ReFantazio for the second time and hit 100 hours
I just finished Metaphor: ReFantazio for the second time, and I officially hit 100 hours in the game.
Honestly, the second playthrough made me appreciate the game even more. Knowing what was coming let me pay more attention to the characters, their plans, and all the little details I missed the first time.
And Strohl was still an absolute MVP. His plans and intelligence really stood out to me even more on the second playthrough.
100 hours later and I still think this game is amazing.
Is buying the same game on multiple consoles dumb?
My friend thinks it’s dumb that I buy the same game on multiple platforms, but I honestly don’t really agree.
For example, I own **Civilization VI on PC, PS5, and Switch**. I like having it on different platforms depending on where I want to play. Sometimes I want to play at my desk, sometimes on the couch, and sometimes handheld.
I know I technically paid for the same game multiple times, but if I enjoy the game and actually play it, I don’t really see the problem.
What do you guys think? Is buying the same game on multiple consoles/platforms dumb, or do you do the same thing?
I overthink uninstalling games. How do I stop?
I have way too many games installed, and I know I should uninstall some.
The problem is I overthink every game.
I’ll think, “I haven’t played this in months,” but then I worry that I might want to play it later.
How do you decide which games to uninstall? Any tips?
[Discussion] 45 Hours Later… Bannerlord Completely Took Over My Free Time
A little update after my thank-you post from a couple of weeks ago.
I was lucky enough to receive Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord through this community, and I wanted to share how it’s been going.
I’m now 45 hours in, and I can honestly say it’s one of the most addictive games I’ve played in a long time. I even ended up having a 10+ hour session without realizing how much time had passed. Every time I thought, “I’ll quit after this battle,” something else pulled me in—a siege, a tournament, recruiting new troops, or another war breaking out.
I really appreciate the person who gifted me the game. It turned into something I probably never would have experienced otherwise, and I’m having an absolute blast.
How do I fix input delay on an unofficial PS5 controller with no reset button?
I’m having input delay issues with an unofficial PS5 controller and I’m trying to figure out how to fix it.
Most advice says to use the reset button on the back of the controller, but this controller doesn’t have one.
I’ve tried reconnecting it and restarting my PS5, but the delay is still noticeable. Is there another way to reset an unofficial controller or reduce the input lag?
Has anyone had this issue with a third-party PS5 controller and found a fix?
Lately I’ve realized I’ve been enjoying gaming way more by myself than I do with my friends.
I used to hop in party chat almost every time I got online, but recently I don’t even bother anymore. It’s actually been relaxing just playing at my own pace, listening to the game, and not feeling like I have to play whatever everyone else wants.
The biggest reason is that my friends only ever want to play Marvel Rivals, and the weird part is they spend the whole session complaining about it. Every match is just complaining about balance, teammates, matchmaking, or whatever else. If you’re not having fun, why are we still playing it every night?
Meanwhile I’ve been having a blast working through single-player games and older titles I never got around to. It honestly reminded me why I enjoy gaming in the first place.
[GoG] Thanks to u/Deathangel2890 for gifting me Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord!
Thanks to u/Deathangel2890 for gifting me a $25 PlayStation gift card so I could get Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord.
I really appreciate your generosity. I can’t wait to download it and finally jump into Calradia after wanting to play it for a while.
Thank you so much, and I hope you have an awesome day!
[REQUEST][PS5] Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
I’ve had my eye on Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord for a long time. I love games that let you create your own story instead of forcing you down one path, and Bannerlord seems like the perfect game for that. Building an army from nothing, recruiting companions, fighting massive battles, managing towns, and eventually creating your own kingdom all sound like exactly the kind of experience I’d sink hundreds of hours into.
I’ve watched a lot of gameplay over the years, and every time I see someone leading hundreds of soldiers into battle or slowly working their way from a nobody to a ruler, it makes me want to play even more. I also enjoy RPGs and strategy games, so Bannerlord feels like it combines the best parts of both genres.
Unfortunately, I can’t justify buying it right now. Between other expenses, I have to be careful with what I spend on games, so I’ve been waiting and hoping to eventually pick it up. If someone was willing to gift it, I’d genuinely appreciate it and it would probably become one of my most-played games.
Thank you for taking the time to read my request, and I hope everyone has a great day, whether you can help or not.

Looking for game recommendations. If I’ve already played it, I’ll just reinstall it.
I’ve hit that point where I’m staring at my PS5 library and can’t decide what to play next.
Here’s what’s currently installed (Marvel Rivals, Baldur’s Gate II, FFVII, FFXVI, Tekken 8, For Honor, Crymachina, Shadow of War, etc.), but I’m open to literally anything.
My only request: recommend whatever game you think is worth playing. Don’t worry if it’s old, niche, AAA, indie, PS4, or PS5.
If I’ve already played it, I’ll just reinstall it. If I own it but never gave it a real chance, even better.
Games I usually enjoy:
RPGs (especially classic ones)
JRPGs
Action games
Fighting games
WW1/WW2 shooters
Games with great stories
Not really looking for survival games like Rust, ARK, or DayZ.
Surprise me with something you think deserves more attention. Bonus points if it’s a game that made you think, “I can’t believe more people don’t talk about this.”
Games like dreams
Preferably on ps5/4 but I do have a switch
Just finished Siege of Dragonspear… I wasn’t expecting that ending to hit me so hard. (Major Spoilers)
I just finished Siege of Dragonspear for the first time, and wow… I have a lot of thoughts.
First, poor Skie. She was honestly one of my favorite companions from the original Baldur’s Gate because she always brought some humor whenever she showed up. She could be spoiled and impulsive, but she was entertaining, and I really liked having her around. Seeing her get manipulated and murdered, with my character taking the blame for it, was heartbreaking. I immediately went to Google afterward because I was convinced there had to be some hidden way to save her. Finding out there isn’t made it even worse.
Then there’s Caelar Argent. I know people have mixed opinions about her, but I couldn’t help feeling bad for her by the end. She wasn’t chasing power or trying to become a tyrant for the sake of it. Everything she did was because she wanted to save her uncle’s soul from the Hells. Her obsession caused a war and got countless people killed, but in the end she still chose to stay behind and sacrifice herself to close the portal. It’s one of those stories where someone starts with good intentions but lets them consume everything.
What really got me was what happened after that. You save the day, close the portal, and instead of being celebrated, you’re arrested and thrown into prison for a murder you didn’t commit. You’re completely isolated, everyone thinks you’re guilty, and after everything you’ve done to save the Sword Coast, that’s your reward.
Escaping prison was satisfying, but even then it wasn’t easy. You wake up thinking you’ve lost everyone, then slowly start finding allies again. Convincing Corwin that you were innocent felt like one of the first moments where someone finally believed you. Reuniting with the rest of the party felt like the game was finally giving you a chance to breathe after everything you’d been through.
Then… you’re attacked again.
The credits rolled, and I just sat there thinking, “That’s it?” Not because it was bad, but because it felt like the game intentionally refused to give me the happy ending I was expecting. It just kept piling tragedy on top of tragedy before throwing me straight toward Baldur’s Gate II.
Overall, I really enjoyed Siege of Dragonspear. I know it’s a divisive expansion, but I thought it did a great job of making me care about the characters and making the ending feel genuinely emotional. Skie’s death especially is probably going to stick with me for a long time.
Looking for games like Easy Red 2 on PS5
I’ve been really enjoying Easy Red 2 on PS5 and I’m looking for other games with a similar feel.
What I like most is the large-scale battles, AI teammates, objective-based gameplay, and that it focuses more on the overall war experience than being a super competitive shooter.
I’m mainly looking for PS5 games, but PS4 games that run on PS5 are fine too. They don’t have to be WW2 specifically—I’m open to WW1, modern, or other settings as long as they have a similar gameplay style.
What would you recommend?
