Set between the 1930’s and 1960’s. Kid drives car into water and ends up drowning

A possibly somewhat wealthy family. After the death of the kid (might be their son), the woman never recovers and it ruins the relationship.

The kid dies by playing in the car and accidentally puts it in gear and it goes into the water. It looked like a lake or pond on their property.

Looked at pictures of old cars. 1930’s to 1940’s cars seemed to fit best.

Woman was a housewife.

Guessing it’s possibly a 90’s movie. Saw it in 2000.

(Note: Wife wants me to post this because you guys just solved mine)

Movie where guy fights creatures and gets blinded somehow but is still able to fight. May have been a sequel

This was another one I was on Scifi around 2006 but it could have been from the decades before that. It might have been part 2 of something.

This guy is fighting some sort of creatures. I believe it was a remote setting, maybe like a cabin. There may have been a flamethrower involved.

There was an older woman that was there and she gets killed by whatever the things are.

I remember the main character gets blinded or something by them but somehow is still fighting.

He says “She was a nice lady!” when he discovers she’s dead in anger against the creatures.

I know this isn’t much to go off of, and your memory plays tricks on you over time.

Does any of this sound familiar to anybody? Maybe it’s completely obvious and I’ve just been using the wrong wording in Google.

Route 666 (2001) Fond Sci-Fi Channel Memories

I saw this way back when the Syfy Channel was still Sci-Fi.

It’s cheese. It’s cringe. It’s bad.

Long story short, guys on a prison chain gang are re-paving a road way out in the desert and get killed by corrupt lawmen. They are buried under the road. So naturally, the road is haunted by their spirits/zombies.

One of the dead guys carries a jack hammer that just sounds unsettling when he’s using it. Freaked my poor brother out.

Good times. The older I get, the more I find pleasure in the bad movies.

In Terminator 2 (1991), Max can be seen restless and barking while the T-1000 talks to John’s foster parents. This is because Arnold was off screen teasing the dog asking if he wanted kee-bull and wah-tah

Note: I posted this in shittymoviedetails, but thought you guys might like it. If you haven’t been there it’s basically just making up stuff about movies for a laugh with people. (Most of them, some will defend a movie like you are actually serious about it.)

Re-typed it because I don’t like the way posts look when shared.

The Mods taking down the post of the AI girl in the terminator shirt, while sparing the simps

They saved us. They saved us all.

Crazy it was up to over 100 upvotes like nothing.

I just saw her pop up in another subreddit in a Scream t-shirt.

We should all know better.

The Mods knew, they tried to tell us, but we didn’t wanna hear it.

Genisys: Bad characters and plot, good first half combat scenes

I just re-watched Genisys, and I see it through fresh eyes. The plot is bad, the actors are bad, but the first half fight scenes are good. I’ll stand by it.

You get some cool future war scenes. I’m partial to the one where the Resistance drive the truck up to headquarters with the “dead” terminator in the driver seat. The T-800 standing outside analyzes it and immediately opens fire. The terminator vision was cool seeing it make a split second calculation.

Then you have the T-800 vs “Kyle” fight. You see the Terminator vision where it sees Kyle going for the weapon that’s capable of taking it out and hits the floor to make him fall through.

You see it use the metal pipe to stab through the walkway. It punches through walls and rips metal apart.

You get a real sense of just how powerful it is.

Then there’s the acid room they use to take out the T-1000.

I think this stuff warrants a watch. Even if you shut it off at the point where they go to the “future.”

That’s when it really takes a nosedive.

They tried to make it a movie with quippy dialogue and a laugh every five seconds.

They actually had decent special effects and they blew it.

If a new fan asked if they should watch, I’d say yes. At least the first half. The acting, plot, and characters are garbage, we know that. But there are a few redeeming moments.

The creators of Grand Theft Auto IV (2008) are still pissed at you for ruining their two emotionally impactful endings. All because you wouldn’t take a woman on a date or go bowling with your cousin

Somebody just accused me of being a reddit bot. I can’t even blend in on here

For context I’m in my 30’s. Like 6 months ago was “diagnosed” by a doctor but I don’t know if it was formal or not. They just said they think I have autism, and I’ve been processing that and haven’t made anymore appointments. Partly because I don’t know if I’m ready to have that conversation, or just want to deal on my own. I’ve always known something about me was different.

I just made a reddit account like a week ago because I wanted to talk about movies and tv shows I like.

Somebody ran something called sleuth bot on two of my posts. I read about it and basically it tries to determine if you are a real person or not making the post. Ouch.

I was just asking questions and stating opinions about movies/tv and some franchises I like. I’m not on there to argue, I just want to have a good time and see what other people think about what I’m into.

I’ve had some posts get a lot of comments and likes and what not so obviously people are interested in what I’m saying, but at least one person thinks I’m not even real.

Has anyone else had this happen on here? This is the only social media I currently have, dropped Facebook and all that years ago. But I do watch YouTube and occasionally comment if I think it’s really worth it.

I tried coming out of my shell and now it just feels weird knowing that someone thinks I’m a robot, it’s disheartening.

T-1001 using body as electrical conduit to incapacitate T-888

The T-1001 known as “Catherine Weaver” uses electricity on the T-888 to take it offline.

With no ill effects either. We do see Cameron get taken down temporarily by electric shock.

So what allows the T-1001 to do this? Other than the script.

Very cool scene, it could have been a simple “chop the head off” with a blade hand, but they gave us something extra

Warning: Childhood PTSD Inside

T2: The Arcade Game. My god, what a quarter muncher.

The truck level always stopped me.

We even got it secondhand for Sega with the light gun.

I got past it a few times, but for a level 3 it was brutal.

The Battletoads Turbo Tunnel level still reigns supreme for most difficulty in my book, but this one is up there.

Helena Bonham Carter as representation of Skynet. I loved it.

If there was ever anyone born to play the human manifestation of Skynet, Helena is it. Better than that goofball in Genisys.

First time I saw this movie, her delivery of this line gave me goosebumps.

“You Marcus, you did what Skynet has failed to do for so many years. You killed John Connor!”

T-800’s on two occasions carrying without one in the chamber

Alright here’s another one I always found funny. In the first Terminator at Tech Noir when the T-800 identifies Sarah and goes in for the kill, it draws its weapon. It then proceeds to rack the slide indicating its chambering a round. This small amount of time was the difference in it successfully completing its mission and failure. It failed because of this.

Second instance is T2. In the parking lot where John is having it harass those two guys (who came to help him no less). It draws, racks, and before it can get the shot off, John knocks its arm away causing a miss. It was fortunate this time it wasn’t carrying with one in the pipe.

Now these are both 1911 style pistols. There has been hot debate over the years about whether these style pistols should be carried that way, but the consensus for carrying for quick deployment in a self defense or combat situation it’s always been one in the chamber.

They could have always carried them cocked and locked, to prevent an unintended discharge in a physical fight or movement situation. These style of pistols have multiple safety mechanisms built in regardless.

These machines know this, they understand the weaponry. They understand they need to be able to quickly produce and fire their weapon. Not having one in the chamber requires two appendages to operate on the first draw, and very well may compromise their intention, and did on at least two occasions.

Now this is just for fun guys. I know there is the tension building aspect of the slide rack and the extra second it gives us to sweat.

But just for my love of the franchise, what do you guys think?

P.S. I’m a Glock man myself, I have shot 1911’s and do enjoy them, I just like striker fire and higher capacity (and I’m a basic bitch.) Though the Springfield Hellcat and S&W Bodyguard has been calling my name. And yeah, I’m always chambered. Favorite pistol ever? Beretta 92FS, purely for the feel and aesthetics. But I assure you I’m not a T-1000.
