I watched Full Metal Jacket on Saturday and I was highly disappointed by the second half. While the second half was technically impressive and very nice to look at, I didn’t connect to the message as much as I did in the first half. I found the suicide of Gomer was a much more impactful way to show the negatives of the military than Joker killing the Vietnamese woman in the second half. I did like the ending, but I wish that Joker finally embraced darkness for the first time, instead of him already going against his morals when hitting Gomer with the soap halfway through the movie. If I’m missing anything, please let me know. I just want your thoughts.

I was super excited to see how 3C would change up his branding and I was curious how his jingle would go, but I was super disappointed. The old logo looked much better for a MOVIE channel and the new branding looks like when a new owner takes over a large corporation and attempts to modernize it to mixed reception. The jingle is also weirdly lowkey and Cris whispering is kinda awkward (in a weird way; not in a fun way like most of his awkwardness). I’m not trying to be a hater but I just expected more. Still love ya, 3C!

I’ve been looking into a lot of different collectible lines (Marvel Legends, Funko Pops, etc) and the one confusing brand I found was Hot Toys. I had heard of Hot Toys in the past but I didn’t realize how expensive they were. I get they are heavily detailed and large, but for the price it just doesn’t seem worth it. Is the quality really worth the price and are the profit margins really large enough to warrant the pricing?

I recently decided to get back into comics and wanted to experience the “Cyclops was Right” arc that many readers loved. I was wondering if anyone on here could direct me to a list of everything I would need to read to experience that arc. The only thing I’ve read so far is Avengers vs X-Men. Also, tell me if the arc is worth reading

Fame comes with certain responsibility. If you don't like the game, fuck off and do something else. The guy is a snake. Has been for years. Knowing his personality and how easily the guy kicks off it's a surprise

stalked and followed to his hotel when it wasn't the case. If it was he could have told staff to prevent their access but that wasn't done so it sounds like mr punk bitch is lying. Just as he lied about the pipebomb being unscripted and the story with jungle boy since his story didn't match up to the footage.

Would you like to see genre movies or shows in the Star Wars universe. Projects that aren’t connected to the Rebellion or the Empire, projects that dont feature Skywalkers, projects that dont feature Dave Filoni’s favorite characters. Simple movies like family dramas or romances that use the unique universe that Star Wars takes place in to their advantage.

Christopher Nolan is one of the most beloved directors of our time and many younger movie viewers have classified him as one of if not the best movie director. I know a lot of older movie fans such as I would shoot down that argument due to his smaller filmography and occasional misses, which makes me wonder what would it take for Christopher Nolan to unanimously enter the conversation for best director of all time? Is it more movies, more genres attempted, or more diverse casts? Are there any other directors you see surpassing Nolan such as Denis Villeneuve, Yorgos Lanthimos, Damien Chazelle, or Robert Eggers?

There have been a lot of movie adaptations of video games in recent years, but video game adaptations of movies have slowed down after the PS3 and Xbox 360 generation. I recently watched Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair for the first time and throughout the movie I couldn’t stop thinking how great of a game it would make. Another movie that I constantly think would make a great game is John Wick, which is actually getting one very soon. I want to know what movie you think would make a great game. Try to stay away from pre-existing stuff like Star Wars and Marvel, which have had long histories in gaming.

With the news that PlayStation is getting rid of physical discs in 2028 and removing many titles from users’ digital libraries, I wanted to get some thoughts on from r/movies on why they either collect physical or digital movies. Personally, I collect physical movies because I want to be able to display a shelf of all of my favorites. A bonus is that most 4K copies come with a digital code, so I get the best of both worlds.

I have been seeing a lot of complaints about Supergirl and the biggest thing I’ve seen is people wishing for major movies focused on Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and others, before James Gunn focuses on smaller projects. This made me wonder why many DC fans prioritize name value over quality projects (not Supergirl, but other smaller projects like Creatures Commandos and Peacemaker were great and Clayface looks awesome).

I’ve also seen people claiming that Batman is taking too long, but a rushed Batman movie will likely be mediocre and sink the DCU even further. This brings me to my question for you: Would you prefer more flagship DCU movies that are rushed and mediocre, or smaller movies focused on a diverse selection of characters that are great?

I came up with some ideas but worried that the plots and characters would be too cheesy for general audiences. How would you blur the lines and create stories that attract both wrestling fans and casuals? Here’s some of my movie ideas:

1. A group of teens stumble upon an abandoned town and accidentally crack open the urn of Paul Bearer, leading to the spirit of the Undertaker reviving all of the skeletons in the town and launching an attack on the teens.
2. A psychological horror movie where someone with a lot of inner issues has to deal with the physical manifestation of their issues: The Fiend, confronting them.
3. A fantasy story where Oba Femi rules a kingdom and has to fight to defend it from a warring tribe.
4. A Godfather/Succession like movie where the Bloodline try to replace Roman Reigns on the throne of the island of relevancy.

The biggest rule of r/unpopularopinion is to downvote posts that you agree with and upvote posts that you disagree with, with means that the most unpopular of opinions should end up on top of the subreddit. Now, the problem is that people treat it like any other subreddit and just upvote stuff they agree with, leading to the most milquetoast opinions taking up the top spots.

I see a lot of complaints every week about WWE programming and decided that I would attempt to do better than the company in WWE 2K26's Universe Mode. I quickly ran into issues with small rosters, limited storytelling potential, and pure boredom. This made me wonder how Raw could be improved. Changes could span from new tag teams and factions, to superstar transfers with Smackdown, and even new feuds with different talent you would never think of. Excited to hear your guys' opinions and ideas!
