This is a picture of Afghanistan from the year 1972. The country was 99% Muslim back then and Islam exists there since the 7th century. The Afghanistan we know today started in 1979 cause two superpowers couldn’t keep their imperialism for themselves (USSR and USA).

So yeah the better question would be that if Islam is really the issue in Afghanistan, then why did all of the stuff there start after 1979 and not before?
