Thinking of making an indie animated movie

Me and my friend were discussing about making an indie animated theatrical movie, we’re not sure what it’ll be yet (One idea was about mutant trains). I feel like this could be possible with GoFundMe and submitting to AMC and Cinemark’s
independent film program but idk what do you guys think?

[R] CPTV (Connecticut Public) 2000s-2010s Off-Air Recordings (WMC / DVD-R)

Hello,

I’m currently looking for Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) off-air broadcast recordings—either recorded via Windows Media Center (.dvr-ms / .wtv) or home-burned DVD-Rs from around the 2000s to 2010s.

I'm especially interested in preserving original station IDs, promos, and broadcast blocks from that era. If anyone has personal captures or knows of active New England preservation circles/links, please let me know!

Thanks.

Does TSReader support MyGica A681B Tuner?

I’ve tried multiple times to get it to work but for some reason it can never lock the signal at all even when selecting ATSCBDASource and ATSCBDASourceNS.

CBS “Proof of Performance” Test Question

I’m trying to figure out when to record my local CBS station because I’m trying to catch the CBS “Proof of Performance” test which is what is on the National CBS Feed on Satellite plays late in the night for maintenance, it plays on local CBS stations too when the station manager switches to the National CBS feed for
Stuff like CBS News Mornings. However when I tried recording when it usually plays (Around Thursday from 2:55am-4:30am) it never played and I am wondering if they changed the time they do maintenance or if my local CBS station replaced it with more commercials. I tried to contact the station but never got a reply back.

Where in the world do I get a FTA Satellite TV receiver?

I’ve looked EVERYWHERE and everywhere is selling it for absurd prices such as $100-$200, I need one that supports DVB-S2.

Magnavox ZV420MW8 ejects tapes after putting them in and it turning off.

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone else had this issue, whenever I put a tape into this VCR/DVD Combo it shuts off and when I turn it back on it ejects the tape. I know it may be a mode switch issue, but I could never find a proper tutorial on how to do it. My question is how would I go about repairing it?

Thanks.

Is getting a FTA Satellite Dish even worth it anymore?

I’ve been thinking about getting a FTA Satellite Dish and a receiver but I looked on this one website and it said that mostly all networks scrambled their signals, I kind of wanted to see the master feed for both PBS East and PBS West but I guess those don’t exist anymore? Idk I was wondering if it was even worth it to
get one.

[fully lost] DR1 Continuity from December 26th, 2011 at 08:00 (Danish television premiere of Curious George 2)

Hey everyone, I'm trying to track down a specific piece of Danish TV history. I am looking for the DR1 channel continuity, idents, or program menus that aired right around 08:00 AM on December 26th, 2011 (2. juledag), specifically leading into the movie "Peter Pedal 2" (Curious George 2: Follow That Monkey!).

I know the broadcast exists on Mediestream, but because I am outside of Denmark, I am completely geo-blocked from accessing the archive to check the tail end of the preceding file or the start of the movie block.

If anyone has a personal VHS/DVR recording of DR1 from that morning, or if anyone with institutional Mediestream access in Denmark would be willing to check what that 08:00 transition looked like, I would be incredibly grateful!

Thanks,
Elliott

Las Vegas Station playing Kirby Right Back at Ya?

So I found on this forum post that apparently someone mentioned that a station in Las Vegas, Nevada (KDNG-LD5) played Kirby Right Back at Ya on Saturday Mornings, however I couldn’t find any information on it other than that. I was wondering if anyone else saw them airing it.

My first scrap (Sceptre H50 TV)

This TV was laying around after the screen busted so I decided to take it apart and salvage the main board along with some of the metal pieces that covered the ports, it is a Sceptre H50 from around 2017-2018. I also salvaged the speakers from it along with the disconnected cables. The only thing I am not salvaging is the IR receiver because I could not figure out where it is exactly, the wire in the bottom right corner lead into a hole in the chassis and
I couldn’t figure out where that hole went. So I ended up cutting the wire to it.

How to extract a NAND from a VTech InnoTab?

Hello,

I've been trying to figure out exactly how you extract a NAND from an InnoTab 1 without having to take it apart, there was a small homebrew community for the InnoTab back in 2012 however it doesn't seem like it is around anymore. There was an old exploit that allowed you to run a Shell script by changing the .db file in the folder on your SD Card that listed all of the games but it doesn't seem to work for me, it keeps kicking me back out to the game menu where I just came from. That's why I wonder if VTech actually patched the bug and it went undocumented because the Homebrew community for the InnoTab was dead in a few years after it started. So if anyone from way back then knew how to do this please help me.

Thanks.

For anyone who has worked at Six Flags (New England, Over Georgia, Magic Mountain, Discovery Kingdom, and America), what was it like driving the Thomas the Tank Engine/Whistlestop Train ride?

I’m genuinely curious because the ride is a Metalbau Emmeln ParkExpress 6000, I’m wondering what controls were there, are they prone to maintenance? Are the diesel fuel prices high and that’s why New England’s Whistlestop Train only runs in a certain period (Fright Fest)? I'm especially curious about the maintenance side. Since it's a diesel-hydraulic German system (Metallbau Emmeln), how hard was it getting parts? And for anyone from SFNE—is the train being mostly limited to Fright Fest a fuel cost issue, or purely a staffing/demographics problem?

MyGica A681B not working?

Hello,

I'm trying to get my TV tuner working for Plex Media Server but whenever I try to scan for channels it always doesn't find any channels, Windows Media Center finds the channels, the built in program that came with the tuner can find the channels, but not Plex.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks.

[Wii] What is the best way to implement a main menu for a Wii Homebrew Game?

Hello,

I am writing a "Pizza Maker" Wii Homebrew game in C++, but I'm having troubles figuring out how to implement a main menu. Because I initially wanted to make the main menu an image and make it so if you click there it'll take you to the game, credits, or other options. However the menu either loads as a brown screen (Meaning that it didn't load the .png file) or a black screen. I'm not sure if it is an image issue or not. I'm just wondering what would be the most efficient way to implement a main menu.

Thanks.

Help my sister wants to play Disney Infinity, but she has a MacBook Neo and she owns the Steam game on Windows

Hello,

My sister wants to play Disney Infinity, however she is running a MacBook Neo. She has played the game before on her brother’s
Gaming Laptop. However she wants to play it on her own laptop. We have tried numerous attempts, but have failed to get Steam to load. When we tried Wine, it showed a black screen when the login screen normally appears for Steam. But when I hovered over, my
Mouse was acting like there were buttons there and I could type stuff in. So I’m not sure if this is a graphical issue on Wine’s end. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.
