Movies where a chainsaw (or other motorized weapon) is used with bloody results
Idk I like chainsaws.

From Dusk Till Dawn
Texas Chainsaw
Deathgasm
Brain Dead

I actually liked Don’t Breathe 2. AMA.
As a starter, I also loved the first. They aren’t neck and neck for me the first is a good 4.5/5 and 2 is a solid 4/5 for me but I still really enjoy both. I was very skeptical while watching 1 how they would make this guy a hero in 2 and what I was happy to see was that they didn’t. I think they held a nice (if a little wobbly) balance of showing while the Blind Man is a monster he is ultimately the lesser of the two in this specific instances
I think they did good by still having him do evil things too. He kidnapped a girl and when that girl was seemingly rightfully reclaimed he decided he would kill her parents. That’s fucked up and something the Blind Man from 1 WOULD do. One of the only things that bugged me were the sort of shoddy editing and the admittedly weird ending. The ending is the only point in the film where I feel like they want you to have sympathy for him and nah I do not feel that. Besides that I think it was a fun ride and I enjoyed it but I also understand why some would feel the way they do.
But I also wanted people to prod for questions if they want to get my further perspective so go ahead and ask if you’d like.

I miss suitmation so much.
Unlike in other genres like horror where practical effects are usually prioritized by modern creatives it feels like any new kaiju movie using suitmation is just a pipe dream nowadays.
Don’t get me wrong I understand why it’s not used at all anymore outside of TV but it bums to see every single prominent Kaiju franchise only uses cgi now.
It only will get worse from now too. Minus One absolutely deserved the Oscar but it also cemented the fact that kaiju films don’t need guys in rubber suits anymore to make something great so why bother bringing it back?
I miss Goosebumps Guy
This post’s purpose is to be more of a place to vent than anything else. I’m not in the Goosebumps community anymore.
Currently I’m 16 years old. Back when I was 7, so 2017, I stumbled across this guy’s channel and was utterly enthralled. I know it’s crazy to say now because his videos could be called “basic” compared to its contemporaries but I absolutely loved watching his stuff after getting a view of one of the 90’s show’s episodes in.
He uploaded sparsely and his career was very short being only about a year long, but that was enough to leave a lasting impression on me. I remember I begged my Nana to buy be Return of the Body Squeezers because Goosebumps Guy talked about how rare it was. I gained an appreciation for video making which eventually has led to my directing aspirations. In short this guy was a very large influence on my child brain.
A few years after he stopped making videos I would always keep up with the channel with the slim chance that he may be back but it was never fruitful. Eventually, one day I checked the comments of his latest post.
Apparently, per his sibling in the comments, Goosebumps Guy committed suicide in March 2021 after a long battle with depression (I don’t mean to embellish any details here so I apologize if I may have.) Long story short I was heartbroken.
Parasocial relationships are so strange. I never let myself form them because I knew better than to act like I’ve known someone just from what I’ve seen on a screen but even I’ll admit my eyes are watery just typing this. I never knew the man but he had influenced and entertained me in some way throughout my childhood.
I think that’s all I needed to get out. If there is a Heaven and Goosebumps Guy can see this post I just wanna say thank you for those memories.
What’s a Godzilla movie you hate but everyone loves or the inverse?
Personally, I didn’t like GMK too much but I think I have to give it a rewatch. Not bad, just probably not my thing. I’d like to see what other people think!
(Loved Trope) Criminals Stumble into a horror movie
From Dusk Till Dawn- My absolute FAVORITE movie of all time. The main poster boy of this trope as well. 2 brothers take a family hostage and it turns out >!the bar they visit is run by vampires.!<
Don’t Breathe- A bunch of burglars break into an old man’s house only to discover he is less unassuming than he sounds.
Abigail- A bunch of criminals kidnap a girl only to find out >!she’s a vampire.!<
The Price We Pay- Two criminals take refuge in a farmhouse only to uncover an >!organ trafficking ring within.!<
Venom (1981)- A venomous snake is accidentally delivered to a townhouse during the middle of a hostage crisis.
Does anyone have a way I can watch Versus (2000)?
The Internet Archive link doesn’t work and I’ve been trying to watch this movie. No spoilers please as I haven’t seen it. Any help is appreciated thank you.
Anyone know where I can find the export dub of “War of the Gargantuas” on DVD?
I know the Rodan/Gargantua set has the Glen Glen sound company dub but I am yet to find the export dub currently seen on most streaming services on any dvds. While I can watch the export dub on streaming I would like to own it physically. Thanks in advance.
Composite Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th Franchise) vs. Sanda & Gaira (War of the Gargantuas)
Jason possesses a machete and all of his abilities from the films and comics including:
Immense durability
Pain tolerance
Teleportation
Immense strength
Along with the ability to power up to Jason X level upping his stats immensely.
Possession powers through oral transfer of a slug demon (keep in mind all of his previous powers transfer to the new host)
Sanda & Gaira are as we see them in their original film with
Super strength
Slightly enhanced durability
Massive size
The battle takes place in the woods of Camp Crystal Lake.
The battle ends when one party is unable to fight any longer. In Jason’s case this would be when his soul (personified by the demon slug) has no host to inhabit (as it can not be killed unless the killer is a voorhees). For the Gargantuas it can be exhaustion or death.
60s-90’s era non-Godzilla/Gamera Kaiju films with at least 2 monsters fighting each other.
Sorry if this is picky. I liked War of the Gargantuas and want to watch Frankenstein vs. Barugon but after that ima sort of lost. I like Godzilla but he’s very still in his movement unlike Sandra or Gaia who can actually brawl each other.
I really like when they feel like wrestling events too.
Looks for suggestions of 60’s-90’s Non-Godzilla Kaiju films where at least two humanoid monsters fight each other.

Best Kaiju films outside of the big 4 (Godzilla, King Kong, Gamera, Pacific Rim)
I really like Kaiju films but I feel that a lot of the ones outside of these 4 aren’t talked about enough. I mainly like large destructive action and blood but this isn’t required for me to enjoy it just a suggestion.
After watching the Del toro films I’m doing some reading finally.
Really excited as I’ve been getting into the character over the past month and dug out a copy I got about a year or two ago but never read. The only thing I’m wary of is the fact that Hellboy and Liz aren’t an item because their romance was one of my favorite parts of the movies but other than that I’m excited.
I think fans would’ve been a lot more receptive of the WW1 setting if it was in film form
If you think about it the saw films jumped the shark ages ago so something like this would definitely have gotten a little pushback due to no Tobin BUT I feel like people would grow to like it if it was crazy enough and had enough ties.
Putting this kind of setting in game form is odd because if you’re adapting a film franchise people will want to play locations within that series and want to play as recognizable people.
I’m still hyped but I feel like this aspect will either be dropped later on or be the game’s downfall with the larger fanbase as a whole.
Suggest me some good fish men horror
Love fish men movies.
Ones I’ve seen/ heard of:
Creature from the Black Lagoon 1-3
The Shape of Water
Humanoids from the Deep
It surprises me that more shapeshifter characters haven’t been included
People like Beast Boy or Martian Manhunter would provide awesome move sets. Now I don’t follow the lore I just play the towers so idk who’s dead or not but it’d be cool, especially giving Beastboy a stance of some sort that leads to different transformations.
Side Note: An H Dial user would be epic but a little too complicated and Ben 10 would be the better choice anyway.
