X Dome 2 inner refresh date?
I read online that the X Dome 2 is getting the same updated inner as the June release of the X Dome 1+. Where the white section goes across the doors. When would that be released?

Are bear cans required on the outer mountain loop?
This campsite had a privy. Was about a 5 minute walk from my tent. Was a poo. This was the high Sierra and was very rocky. As soon as I was done, I stood up to walk back, started walking, and my head lamp went out.
Enter the flashlight on the Garmin Fenix 8 to get me back safely to my tent.
That's all. Just praise for the usefulness of the flashlight.
Would love to read other similar Garmin flashlight story.
I used this tent 4 nights. I'm wanting to get something a little bigger. Had a tyvek groundsheet underneath each night.
TLDR: Many habituated bear sightings at lodgepole this past week. High chance bear will come through camp in middle of the night.
I was there last weekend. In the middle of the night, I thought I heard someone messing with their bear locker for about 30 minute minutes. It woke me up and I went to the bathroom. I looked in the direction of where I was hearing the sound and I saw nobody. As soon as I looked, the sound went away. I walked back to my campsite and as I scooted my butt into my tent, I saw the bear walk about 5 feet in front of me through my campsite. I told it to get and I threw a rock at its feet. It basically followed me once I looked its way with my headlamp.
Each night I heard stories the next day. I couple I went in a backpacking trip who was at 152, said both nights they had bears come through their campsite.
I told the ranger the next day he said there was another bear encounter on the other side the same night.
I was at 119.
For those who see this post negatively, it’s not that they are there. It’s more that these bears are habituated. Which is the wrong type of bears you want to see come into your campsite.
I’m spending a few days at lodgepole to acclimate before a 5 day backpacking trip out of twin lanes trail head.
I’m coming from Texas. I’m cold nature when still but hit while hiking.
I brought multiple clothing scenarios. One that’ll keep more warmer but slightly heavier or cooler and slightly cooler. I was going to decide based on how I felt at lodgepole for two days.
I guess I’m asking how do I judge this? We will camp once or twice at 10k. I’m thinking just imagining it be slightly colder than what I feel at lodgepole.
The weight difference is about 8 ounces depending on if i bring warner or cooler clothes

I have an X Mid and recently bought a X Mid Pro to take on a trip.
Love the weight, but I can really see in it. I'm not sure how much I'm going to like that on trail. Like, if I'm changing can people see my white ass through the tent?
Has anyone tried DCF and just decided it wasn't for them for this reason?
I'm doing two trips. I'd like to store food for 5 days in lodgepole while I'm on my first trip so I don't have to carry it. I emailed but no response yet and I leave Sunday.
Going on a multi day backpacking trip coming up and wanting to create a route that I can load on to my Vertical 2 and follow.
I am also wondering if it would be better to just create a route for each day OR for the entire trip.
What do you guys do and use?
DCF Floor
Brand new never used or taken out of the bag.
I'd post a pic but I don't see the option.
I would contact support but my turn around has been about 2-3 days and I'd really like to know this before it goes on sale tomorrow.
I've been training for an upcoming backpacking trip using La Sportiva Ultra Raptor 3's. They make me feel like a mountain goat. However, toes get a little uncomfortable after a long day. It's bearable. Also, I sweat a lot and they retain a lot of water. Still bearable.
I tried the prodigy pro max, but rolled my ankle.
I then tried a new shoe, the Mount to Coast T1. Very comfortable. Don't retain as much water, but I can tell my body leans more into certain steps because of the cushion. It's like, now other stability muscles have to kick in because of it.
I'm doing off trail hiking in the Sierras. There will be talus fields to hop. I'm leaning towards the Ultra Raptors because I feel very stable in them. However, I would love the comfort of the M2C T1's.
My current thought process is stability is more important than all day comfort.
Thought?
Also, I leave this weekend so not really wanting to try a new shoe.
I've been looking at this sun hoodie. Has an awesome deep hood and am interested in it but don't know how well it would do for multi-day backpacking on a sweaty dude.
I am doing a trip soon that will be over three days. I'd like to create the route an upload it to my watch so that I can have the route loaded while hiking.
If you do this, what do you do?
Do you create one big route with waypoints to your campsites? Or something else?
I never see Junction Meadow on a map. It's where I want to stay my 3rd night of Rae Lakes Loop. Is it in the middle here where those three trails meet?
Looks like this fire is less than 7 miles from Wood Creek camp.
Is this something to worry about for doing Rae Lakes Loop this week?
Also, at what point do you worry?
Just curious—I will be in the Sierra mountains when batch 1 releases, so I cannot order it.
Has anyone heard when batch 2 will be released?
