It’s Friday, which means we’re back by the Spree
Here’s how it goes: you show up, grab a drink from a Späti, find the group standing by the water, and start talking to whoever’s next to you.
There’s music going the whole time. By the end of the night you’ve met a handful of people and have no idea how it got so late.
This has been running every Friday for about 8 years. The crowd is never the same twice.
Berliners, expats, travellers passing through, people who landed this week.
Coming solo is completely normal.
Later people drift toward bars or a club, or just stay put by the river. Whatever the night wants.
