Hi, all! I recently inherited my father's old service weapon from when he was a police officer prior to him retiring in the mid-2000s. As I've never owned a gun, I'd like to take it to a nice gun shop in town to learn the basics, buy some ammo, and maybe even have it cleaned. As I was not a gun owner until a week ago, I'm not really sure where to start or what shops in town are reputable so any help would be appreciated! TIA!!

Hi, all! I recently bought a house and while moving in, I found the previous owner’s AA tokens. I dont really feel comfortable tossing them but I have no contact with the previous owners. Just wondering what you’d recommend I do with the them. TIA!

For context, I had never played a Dead Space title or knew anything about it other than the basics before the remake dropped. I finished my first playthrough yesterday and wow, what a fantastic game! I loved that it rarely ever felt repetitive and never really became a chore. I've never been a big fan of single-player linear titles but I was always intrigued by the DS storyline and was so glad I played the entire thing. I even preferred playing it in the dark just to keep the gloomy, claustrophobic atmosphere as thick as possible. It's such a bummer EA has decided to shelve Dead Space yet again with no plans to further advance the series or bring a DS2 remake to the forefront.

That said, I can't be the only one who thinks Dead Space would make a fantastic television series. So much lore involved with just the first game alone could create multiple seasons, flashbacks, and tons of world building. Hopefully we see more Dead Space in the future, even if EA sticks with keeping it on the shelf.

Previous homeowner waited til the day before escrow closing (June 10th) to move his stuff out. While I was doing the inspection a few weeks prior, I took pics of some of his furniture and told my realtor if they wanted to leave those things, he could. The guy agreed but then took advantage of that by leaving so much junk behind (old area rugs, broken chairs, tons of old faded and broken pottery, maybe 50 pounds worth of expired canned food etc) that I need to schedule a bulk trash pickup to get it all.

Now he’s saying he needs to come back to get the internet boxes on the tv plus a bunch of decorative rocks his wife left and a big whale vertebra that she wants back. I assume because they dragged their feet on moving out til the day before escrow closed, they forgot things. Because of the absolute hassle dealing with the junk he left behind, I’ve since blocked his number and refuse to let him come get the stuff that they could’ve easily taken with them in a single box when they rolled out. AITAH?

With major Halloween events now opening as early as the week after Labor Day, many of them begin announcing their attractions in June/July. Knott's however still waits til mid-to-late August to announce theirs, even though they've moved their opening date up more and more over the last decade, with opening dates now falling in mid-September.

Do you think Knott's waiting til 3-4 weeks before opening night to promote the event's new mazes/zones hurts attendance numbers?
