Jati(जाति) and varna(वर्ण) have become a bone of Contention in this civilised world. To eradicate discrimination it is essential to attack the source of discrimination. Here I will mention the holy texts , although controversial, which are compiled in same holy lands of Haryana.

The texts of Mahabharat may be holy, but such ideas in Modern word are incomprehensible and outdated. The reservation in these times are not source of casteism but way to weed out historical religious sanctioned unjustices.

Theere has been misinformation about the formation of Haryana and the resource allocation ( Chandigarh, water etc.). I will try to represent Haryana and give its view.

1. Reorganization of State was based on linguistic census of 1961. Fazilka tehsil( Ferozpur District) was Hindi majority tehsil yet it never gets transferred to Haryana.

2.Narwana and Jind Tehsil( erstwhile Sangrur district) was Hindi majority and transferred to Haryana.

3.Kharar Tehsil ( erstwhile Ambala district,of which Chandigarh is part of in '61) was Hindi majority yet it was made a UT.

Ropar Tehsil( erstwhile Ambala district) gets transferred to Punjab and Nalagarh tehsil to Himachal.

4. In terms of Government Jobs Punjabi areas captured overwhelming number of posts.

Formation of Haryana in 1966 has often been met with misinformation and sharing of resources( Water,Chandigarh etc.) still is a bone of contention for both parties. I will try to represent Haryana viewpoint in this.

1. State Reorganisation on Linguistic basis.

The state was reorganised on linguistic basis. Whereas someone can reply to Census of 1961 as either Hindi/Punjabi/Urdu speaking. The tehsils with Punjabi speaking went to Punjab and plain areas Hindi speaking became Haryana. ( hilly areas became part of UT Himachal Pradesh)

Despite being Hindi majority speaking Tehsil Fazilka still remained in Punjab.

2. Tehsils of Jind and Narwana was merged into Haryana ( formerly district Sangrur) and Ropar tehsil into Punjab( former District Ambala).

3.Chandigarh was Hindi speaking tehsil (Kharar). Yet it was designated as Union territory.

4. Punjabi Suba demand was at first demanded by Punjabi speaking persons even though they overwhelmingly had senior positions in Punjab of before 1966.( Pic 4)

At last even today I will like to register discontent that although Haryana's area has been included in map the language of Haryana(Hindi) is missing in tags and as such please register Hindi in tags/ Haryanvi as flair as well (only if you include its map in subreddit profile ofc).

Recently results were declared for Asst. Professor(Hindi) posts. A lots of Outsiders(Purbiyas) were selected. The main reason for Purbiyas' selection was higher numbers given to them in Interview.

In Haryana local self government, has been completely failure in maintaining (forget about upgrading) cities Infrastructure. The city authorities are completely helpless filled with corruption. The City residents vote for 3 Engine sarkar but still no facilities are provided to people.
