Why does everyone want to go to the Everdoor all at once 😩

New player here! (About a week into playing)

I JUST took Gwen to the Everdoor, and now Alice >!seems to have dementia all of a sudden and!< wants to go, AND Summer just asked.

Alice >!needs my help bringing her back and forth from her home to the prow!<, and I don't yet have her favorite foods or likes/dislikes other than >!disliking stimulants.!< Should I keep her around until I find these things?

Is it normal for multiple spirits to ask to go at the same time?

Just sent my first spirit through the everdoor 🥹

I wasn't expecting this to feel so bittersweet. I'm truly loving the game so far, just started this week

Game recs for someone who exclusively played ACNH?

Hi! I have exclusively played animal crossing new horizons only for about a year and a half after my boyfriend introduced me to it for an 8 hour drive and I was hooked immediately.

I know there are other posts with game recommendations but I haven't quite found anything people have posted that really sounds like what I'm looking for.

I am also AuDHD and struggle with keeping interest along with having certain preferences for graphics which is why I am not interested in stardew valley, I personally dislike the "look" of it.

I love the cozy slow nature of ACNH but at this point with my island basically done all I am doing are daily tasks and earning nook miles but I'm not entirely motivated to complete all of the nook mile achievements. I actually purchased happy home paradise hoping it would help me be more motivated to play so that I could customize my villager houses but I'm not the best at decorating.

One of the things I'm bummed about with ACNH is that there are really no other things to do other than what I mentioned. Id love a game that is low stakes, has cute animations. I want something that can keep me occupied for a long time and isnt "achievable" or "complete" so quickly basically like ACNH does IMO.

Edit: I only have a regular switch!

Blue paint recs?

Looking for a darkish navyish blue color for an accent wall in my bedroom with these as my inspo. I'm most familiar with Behr paint but open to SW or other brands

I'm planning to paint a very light tinted blue-gray-white on the other walls. (I know it exists but don't have the actual color name in my mind lol)

Medication?

Hi. I am titrating onto lamictal (lamotragine) right now, currently on 50mg with plans to go up to 75 and then 100. So I know I'm not at a typical therapeutic dose yet.

Historically I haven't had great experiences with SSRIs or SNRIs. So my NP put me on this mood stabilizer.

I'm curious if anyone else takes this, or what med has helped you? Even just taking the edge off of your symptoms a bit, because I know this probably won't ever go fully away. But lately I'm really struggling with my symptoms and feel so unsure about my life and medication regiment, and don't have anyone to connect with about this.

What are some contamination obsessions that seem "small" to others?

Curious to know what you may experience that are lesser known contamination obsessions, and maybe not as "obvious" to others?

Some things I didn't know were contamination OCD canon events til I really started to understand my OCD better:

• no open drink containers (open lid, straw) in a public restroom - this definitely didn't matter to me until I got sober 2.5 years ago because I'd be too inebriated to care
• again, public bathroom problems - if I opened my mouth while chewing gum or having a mint in my mouth I HAVE TO spit it out immediately
• touching public bathroom door handles or toilet flusher things
• leaving a drink out overnight, like a can of seltzer, because I fear there's a bug in it and I can't see it. A clear glass of water is questionable, if the glass is clear and only from right before bed, but depends on how I'm feeling.
• raw meat. No explanation needed. I can't even touch it when it's still in the package until it's in a plastic bag

I'm sure there's more but it's late and I want to get this post out there and hope to connect with others!

Loving the battery life so far!

I got my Active 2 Premium on Saturday June 27th around noon and fully charged it that day. Now it's July 6th and my battery is only on 46%! And that's with leaving it on overnight (without wearing). The first two nights I turned it off overnight but then I wanted to experiment and see how long it would last with staying on. I'll probably charge it once it gets to around 30% but this is the best battery life I've ever had with a fitness tracking smart watch! Very satisfied.

New here, introducing myself and ISO some support

Hi everyone, I'm new to this Reddit community. I've really appreciated reading the experiences that I've had the chance to look at since joining this morning.

TLDR; 35 year old late diagnosed ADHD, recently realizing autistic traits, hard to accept and understand. Would love support and anything helpful that people want to share in response 🤍 I feel I need to broaden my community support.

So, I was "diagnosed" with ADHD a few years ago (I put it in quotes because I'm not actually completely positive that the PMHNP diagnosed me...? I never directly asked). She prescribed me Vyvanse for a very short time, like 4 months, which did work for me but then the shortage got in the way of me being able to find it anywhere.

Currently the only med I am taking for ADHD is guanfacine and I recently started Lamictal because of my emotional difficulties and non responsiveness to SSRIs or SNRIs. My current prescriber is hesitant to prescribe me any stimulants because I disclosed a history of problematic alcohol use (currently sober for 2.5 years and in a 12 step program, struggled with alcohol and weed, never pills or even used any other drugs -- please no opinions on this as it's not relevant other than I have worked to get and stay sober and she knows this). I understand 2 1/2 years is not a long time in the grand scheme of things but the prescriber said she wanted to try everything else before a stimulant because of my history. As a mental health professional myself I logically understand but personally I feel it's detrimental to my life to not be prescribed something I might need, and I really struggle on a daily basis.

My most recent thing is that I've started to truly realize that I definitely have a lot of autistic traits that have been present my whole life but started to really come out now that I'm sober and not self medicating with weed or alcohol, I'm in a 1.5 year long relationship, and I do believe the guanfacine is helping in certain ways so I wonder if that opened the door to realizing these things. Recently my partner and I got into a huge fight because he felt I was not supporting him and it basically narrowed down to my concrete thinking patterns, not recognizing his emotional cues, and my own anxiety. I'm struggling to accept just how much my (potential, self diagnosed) autism is negatively impacting certain areas of my life and I'm hoping that being more aware could be a helpful start? I looked into Prosper Health for an autism assessment but it's $950 OOP and I don't have insurance 😣

Watch bands for Active 2 Premium?

I just ordered an Active 2 Premium and know it takes a 20mm band, and would love if anyone who has this watch could share pictures or links of their alternative replacement bands so I can get some ideas for what goes well with it?

Limited daily quests... still

This isn't the biggest deal but it's been probably two months of only 3 daily quests and with one of them being the question and the other being "complete a goal" I'm just a bit bummed out because it's so limited and I really wish there were at least 4 to give some variety

Couldn't resist!

A 12inch purple possum for only $5.51?? There was no universe in which I'd turn that down. Can't wait for her to arrive!!

Advice on which model to get?

Former Apple Watch owner here, and recently had a poor experience with Garmin (battery was terrible), I also used to have a Fitbit but I want something with a round watch face and I also don't love Fitbit being intwined with Google now. So I am interested in trying out an AmazFit watch.

I'm a mid thirties woman for reference. My main focus with a fitness tracker is to count my steps because my job is so sedentary, I need that accountability to get my NEAT movement in each day. I'd love a watch that doesn't look super sporty or if I could at least change the wrist straps to make it look more stylish that would be fine.

I struggle with deciding what watch to get, so any advice is welcome!

200 days!

Haven't had to use a streak repair yet, which truly shocks me because I've never stayed this consistent with any app before!

This was my first journal spread from back in January!

Been in a junk/crafty journaling slump so I'm looking through old spreads and wanted to share so maybe it'll give me motivation again!

Favorite cranky villager(s)??

I'm going villager hunting today for a cranky personality which will get me all 8 personalities on my island -- curious to know who everyone likes?? I would love Dobie because his house would be perfect for the area I'm filling (I don't have HHP) but I'm open to anyone!
