I’m finally thinking of taking the dive into the world of 4K and noticed how few options there are for players. Why is this? If 4K is the de facto best quality and so many are buying the films, I’m surprised there aren’t more players available. I’m leaving towards the Panasonic 420 btw since I have a ton of standard Blu Rays.
We’ve asked the vet this and are still waiting for a response. We have a 15 year old Westie (Norman) who was diagnosed with diabetes about 3 years ago. We’ve always test his blood sugar levels before every shot (twice a day) and typically in the past, he was in the 300-350mg range with each shot (3 units). About a month ago when he was diagnosed with kidney issues and we moved him to Royal Canaan wet food. Now every time we test his blood sugar levels he is always around 110 to 120. Every time. Is it possible that the new food has regulated his blood sugar levels to the point where he does not need the insulin as much if at all anymore? Even when skipping doses he is always in this range lately. Any ideas?

I’m sure I’ll get downvoted and mocked, but being new to the area, it’s shocking to me how loud cars and motorcycles have taken over the quality of life in this fine city. That’s not even including the rampant speeding on North/3rd Streets. Have people complained and the police just do not care? Our entire neighborhood has “Please Slow Down” signs when some patrol cars and tickets would actually make a difference. Like in most cities. Is this just part of living here? Imagine how peaceful the town could be otherwise.
I caught the free first track last night on You Tube that Nugs kindly shares for each webcast and it seemed like it was completely remastered from the original airing. It looked and sounded incredible! Anyone else check it out?
Do we know if they are doing another run of this book? Looks like it came out again recently and is now back ordered again. I had it ordered from evil Amazon but they removed it from my orders which is weird.

Not much else to say but watching this again on the Criterion Channel reminds me that it may very well be his best work. For a director known for being abstract and “weird”, he happened to make one of the best films ever about human beings and family. Simply a beautiful film that moves me to tears multiple times. Truly a masterpiece.
I shouldn’t be surprised like when he toured with Mavis Staples and never once had her sing with him. But such a missed opportunity. He’s frustrating sometimes!

Just bought a nice new TV and want to upgrade from my old standard DVD trilogy set. I don’t have a 4K player so if you had to pick a Blu Ray set, would you go with the Restoration set or the 50th? I’ve read some felt the colors were closer to the original vision on the Restoration.

SSIA. The energy and Jerry’s inventive solos on this tune in ‘82-‘83 rival most versions I’ve heard in subsequent years. The song became a bit more “traditional” and Jerry toned down those atonal crazy solos he was laying down early on the song’s journey. Hell, I’d be thrilled with a fan edit of every Throwing Stones solo from ‘82-‘83 as they’re always a highlight of those shows!
Water is staying towards the bottom so it must be leaking from a side. Also water is getting dirty at the bottom with worms, even with the little fountain going all day. Any tips for either scenario would be welcome!

So this little auto-shut on/off pump works like a charm when i drop it in a bucket of smaller enclosure full of water, but when I drop it in our pond totally submerged, it will not come on. Why?!
