Best Restaurant in Perth you have been to in the past 2 years ?

And this isn't about posting lists of restaurants that you like 😄

If you can name the best restaurant (Just ONE) you have been to (for a sit down meal, not take away) in the past 2 years, what would it be ?

Any cuisine, any price range

Time to stop Whinging about the squad selection, time to support the team !

All of the discussions in the media, on the internet about the squad selections and why player x wasn't chosen, time to stop all of that. It is not helping

Every England fan needs to get behind the team that has been chosen and Tuchel.

Love him or hate him, he's the man in charge right now.

Past world cups have shown that negativity and distractions have cost England, directly or indirectly

Has anyone had a handgun made by Custom Guns Engineering ?

Or knows someone who has ?

https://customguns.com.au/

The prices say 5K, but i think that is just for a deposit. I believe finished guns end up well over 10K

They currently make open guns, i would potentially be more interested in their limited optics guns when they start making those.

But nowhere so far where english is the first language. Still some good videos to watch and youtube autodubbing isn't too bad for this kind of content.

Lokgrips Brass Backstrap for TTI combat (also Mete and Rival), is it equivalent to a Small or Medium stock backstrap ?

Hi everyone, i know the Lokgrips brass backstrap isn't equivalent to a large, just wondering if it is the same size as the stock medium backstrap ? or the small one.

Ideally i want large, i can work with a medium, small really is too small for me.

I am keen to get the extra weight

Thanks

Thoughts on this CCW Scene ?

This is a scene from the TV show Marshals, episode 10.

There are two escaped prisoners and two Marshals enter a convenience store quietly (kind of undercover) to try take them down quietly given there are a lot of people there so they don't want to go in guns blazing. However another citizen recognises the prisoners who have been on the news, draws his gun on them and the prisoners kill him, and now they are exposed, they take everyone hostage including the two Marshals. That's the lead up before this clip.

Now roll the clip.

OR

Not many scenes in TV or movies of use of firearms from concealed carry in a type of scenario which is not too unrealistic.

Thoughts ?

Could you draw that fast from a seated position and double tap someone armed ?

PC Software to analyze match or practice footage after the fact ?

This new software Shooter's eye has come out, video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07J1-pul5IM

and it looks really cool in being able to pick up your shots in match or practice footage, giving you all the splits etc

Just wondering if there is any other software which does the same ? I am looking for PC software, not a phone/ipad App

I just want to see what else is available before purchasing shooters eye.

thanks

VR - You just have to find your Groove Thing

With VR at the moment, if you play mostly campaign style games of X hours and move from one to another, i think that is really hard to sustain in the VR space. Games like Metro Awakening, Arizona Sunshine 2 etc, not many around and not many new ones coming

In flat gaming, most people have a backlog of such games to play and will most likely never run out of these games to play.

For VR, you have to find something outside of this gaming structure to continually enjoy VR

It could be a VR fitness app, beat saber, a particular multi player game (like Forefront), a sports game like walkabout mini golf, watching 3D movies etc etc

For me, it is Ace VR shooting, i am a competitive shooter IRL and Ace VR shooting is a genuine training aid which many top shooters recommend.

I also enjoy Clayhunt VR with a real stock pro (simulates a real gun very well).

so those are my groove things and if any good VR game comes around to play, then that is a bonus

The Parent Trap (1998)

Watched the Parent Trap with the family last weekend. Everyone really enjoyed it.

I think most of us have forgotten how good a child actor Lindsay Lohan was before she went off the rails.

It is quite bittersweet seeing the lovely Natasha Richardson, i actually did not know she passed away due to a skiing accident when only 45 (also didn;t know she was married to Liam Neelson). Her smile was something really special.

Anyway, the Parent trap is ultimately a feelgood movie with some very emotional scenes. When each respective twin meets their mother and father for the first time having never seen then before, a huge thing for a 11 year old girl. The performances from all actors gave these scenes emotion but it wasn't too over the top.

Supporting actors were good too and we got a scene with 90s supermodel Vendela as a bonus.

I am tempted to now watch the 60s original with Hayley Mills.

Big Don's Smoked Meats in Bayswater - anyone order recently ?

Never tried it before, but am keen to. Yes i know it's a process :)

The reason i am posting is there are currently only 2 google reviews for Big Don's Smoked Meats right now, so have they just moved shop ?

I just want to check that they are still active and open ?

The other reason i ask is right now on their website, it seems you can buy for this Saturday May 16th, and all i kept reading from previous posts they sell out in 5 minutes on Tuesday evening. It's now more than a day past Tuesday evening.

So if anyone has ordered recently, it would be appreciated to hear from you about it.

Thanks all

For an intermediate level shooter, is alternating between red dot and iron sights going to hinder progress ?

I consider myself a lower intermediate shooter. I shoot for fun and to improve myself steadily measured against myself. Not looking to win anything or compete too seriously.

I believe i shoot safely , that aspect is good. My static accuracy is good. I am now working on speeding everything up.

I have a CZ Shadow 2 orange with a Holosun 507 comp and a Canik TTI combat with just iron sights. I enjoy shooting both guns and shoot the Canik surprising well with irons (last match i got the second most amount of alphas amongst all shooters).

is alternating shooting one match with the CZ (and a red dot) then the next with the Canik (and irons) a bad idea ?

Should i put a dot on the Canik and go all in with dots ?

I kinda don't want to lose touch shooting irons as to me it feels more like 'pure shooting' whatever that may mean.

I should add, i also have Ace VR and switch between irons and red dots regularly when training with that.

▲ 42 r/snooker

In the snooker club video where Wu came on and chatted to Hendry after his win in the final, he mentioned Ronnie texting him inbetween sessions with advice on how to handle things.

It is a bit of a strange situation where one of England's greatest players, Ronnie is mentoring and closer to chinese players than the new crop of english players (there is however absolutely nothing wrong with this).

I recall past interviews with Ronnie where he was treated very well and welcomed into the homes of Ding and other chinese players whenever he played over in China, and i guess relationships flourished and Ronnie has helped Ding over the years.

Not the first chinese player i have heard talk highly of Ronnie and his support for them.

I know Murphy has been mentoring Stan so it good it is happening all over.

I shot my first IPSC match today with my new Canik TTI combat. It was awesome, not one issue ! and it is a much rarer gun in my country so got a lot of attention from other shooters in my squad.

Seen lots online about people having issues with the TTI Combat.

The fact is the TTI combat is the most race gun like of any Canik. You might get lucky and have absolutely no issues with the ammo you shoot straight out of the box.

But there is a chance you are going to have to tinker with the recoil spring and/or ammo and acknowledge there is a break in period of around 500-1000 rounds. Very similar to gas semi auto shotguns which require you to shoot hot loads for a while before they reliably cycle target loads.

So for my TTI combat here is my experience. My usual 9mm competition ammo is 124gr Federal Syntech. With the installed recoil spring, it was pretty bad, return to battery issues 7 out of 10 rounds. I then changed to the stronger green spring and with the same ammo, it was down to 2 issues out of 10 rounds, still not good enough. Then i changed to 150 gr Federal Syntech and it was down to 1 issue in 150 rounds, so pretty good. From here i knew it just needed more shooting. I used the same 150gr ammo in my match and had no issues (shot 140 rounds).

Many competition guns are like this. My CZ Shadow 2, when i mounted an optic, i had to change from a 13 pound to a 14 pound recoil spring and it then cycled perfectly. When i mounted an optic on my Glock, absolutely no issues (never had any malfunction with my Glock).

So to new TTI combat owners, if you do have cycling issues, just work through it and be patient. The end reward is an amazing gun which shoots great and looks the part.

I forgot to mention, i shot my IPSC match with iron sights on my Canik and my accuracy was better than using red dots on my other guns. I had pretty much all alphas (i don't push the speed aspect to my absolute limit).

Hi, this MR shooting sim looks very promising

The big question is will it be compatible with the Ace handsets ? All you need is controller orientation adjustment settings (X, Y, Z position and rotation) and a trigger adjustment setting.

The developer of Augmented Defender can help you with this (on Discord), it apparently isn't that hard to implement these settings.
